i think if you replace it and put silicone in between the seal and the glass it should work like i3oi3c78 did i havent had this problem yet and hope my sunroof stays how it is, but i dont use it for fear somthing like this will happen or it will get stuck open or somthing.
just do the compression test and see if it still hold pressure for a couple of minutes, let each cylinder sit for a little bit. if there is a drop in pressure then you have a leaky cylinder could be due to knock, over heating, or scared rings.the knocking could be due to that spark plug...

ya most likely they used the stock wires some where, and the old dsm wiring probably couldnt handle it. there is a stock place on the passenger side under the hood by the fire wall, were you can take a wire from your + on the battery and plug it in this spot on the fire wall, and the walbro in...
for example putting 45psi on the stock injector is actually going to flow a little more but the ecu will always think it is flowing the same amount b/c it is set at 36-37psi but if you put the safc or somthing you could always tell the computer what is going on.

be sure that the rings are for your bore, maybe you can try file to fit rings. just be sure everything is machine surface. also be sure you turn the wrings opposite of each other. i have seen some builders move the rings just out of alignment like you show on the pic.
the clear covers are really nice but they are also like $75. i never have ever ran the top cover. the bottom cover you need to run for sure. not only does it keep debre from ruining your belt but you will need it when timing your motor with a timing light. the top one is not so necessary as...

okay so any 1g cas should work so no need in changing it out. i will try this out tomorrow to see what happens. the only thing is that i tried the coil pack on my 2g and it fired up no problem. so i was guessing it was the signal, but i checked continuity and they all looked good.
