just went through the same problem. litterally. the only solution that I found. was swapping trans to an earlier trans and getting the smaller axles.. worked for me.. not the greatest thing to hear but its what i was forced to doyou wont find axles. I searched everywhere. Could try and get a...
so the problem was going on with the MAFT setup as well as speed density. Are any other things going on, anything at all. at what points is it rich/lean is it a specific rpm range, or is it whenever it wants to kind of deal.
I cannot find axles for my 1994 fwd tsi, no one can for that matter, slowboyracing included. this is my daily driver, I know 93 and 94 have 23 spline count, but if i use a 91-92 trans i will be able to find axles for those years. so is it possible to use the 91-92 trans and axles.Desperate...
Take a picture of this elbow pipe. you just want a good source. Im imagining you are talking about the correct thing, but lets see. What were the mechanic/technician reasoning behind a higher idle with a new alternator?Your not the only young guy on here bro. Only 19 here
Problem 1.I put an AFPR on and with the vacuum connected it goes up to normal, maybe a little high with the FPR solenoid hooked up, when i pull the vac line off it, the reading does not drop, but when I unplug the FPR solenoid the AFPR is reading normal at like 27.5 with the vac connected and...
yeah it idles wierd. would the fuel trims look lean because they are pulling fuel trying to correct a rich mixture. I dont know what o2 sensor that is. bought the car with it
my Car has recently began to idle a little rough and bog out on hot starts. i ensured the FPR solenoid was hooked up. When i hook my logger up, the o2 voltage is stuck at .08 and the o2 trim is at 100 percent. My fuel trims are all 3 stuck at 138 and barely move. My idle sounds like its missing...
thanks for all that information, thats great. appreciate itwith vacuum hooked to the regulator pressure should be 27 something and with the vacuum off 37.5 is this correct??
just seeing what fuel pressure 1g guys are running around with. I have it at stock right now..my mods are as follows. Not asking for actual numbers. but will this setup with a 255 make some decent power. it pulls pretty strong , just wanted to see what you guys have made with this similar...
I cannot find axles for my 1994 eagle talon tsi, i was told that i could only get the cv's through mitsubishi. Has anyone ran into a similar problem, please help
you put a "high rise aluminum spoiler" with no purpose, body decals. put big gawty wheels on with a ridiculous paint job and completely deface an otherwise very attractive car, and expect no negative feed back, then that is the sad part..however, im sure people dont like whats done to my...
your stock boost gauge is not accurate. A boost leak will make the a/f ratio at idle more lean due to vacuum drawing in extra unmetered air. When the vacuum becomes boost the air then escapes causing the mixture to richen up. The leak could be from the throttle body seals/lower injector...
what 2g maft??. you should recirc the blow of valve with 1g , and 2g mas. GM maf is usually after the Blow off valve so atmospheric blow off valves do not affect the readings to the GM maf/adjusted by the translator.
14.7 is "the ideal" for gas mileage and overall engine peformance. However that ratio will not remain the same from idle until redline. 15. whatever is leaner then desired but as far as damage or anything , probably not happening at this point. Would like to see a richer mixture as the RPM and...
usually not a good idea to add any air or fuel mod on without knowing what its doing, via logger of some sort.. Probably wont run well with the 2g maf and no correction for the extra airflow the 2g maf allows.
I ran into the same problem, put a j pipe on with no boost source. So i T'd mine off with the bov, not proud of it. I am just welding a nipple onto my j pipe. Or you can drill and tap and thread a fitting into it.
i need to put a slimfan in because the stock one is rubbing a hole through my coupler on my j pipe.AFPR is necessary with 255 so it is not wildly rich at idle. I am in the process of doing the cv joints. I have a hallman es. The o2 housing is functional as well as"bling". the car is lowered a...

to each his own, dont change your car in hopes of being more accepted by the "dsm" community. You already made a good step by choosing a dsm, non turbo or not..its still a dsm.
I need a new coupler for my vr speed fmic j pipe. The fan shroud rubbed a whole through it..Which coupler is a good choice , and what size do I need for the copuler.?I dont have time to take it off and measure.
thanks
I recently put on the jm fab heat shield. well now the insulator for the o2 sensor wires is melting due to not having the tabs to suspend the wire above the manifold like the stock heat shield does, my question is, what do all you guys with the heatshield do to prevent this
Im really Surprised on how good the scoop looks. I usually hate the attempts to retrofit a scoop. And how your intercooler is laid out seems really beneficial. and your car is beautiful to boot. a+ on your car man.
I have my shifter shortened in my tsi. And With underhood bushings shifting is really nice. About to install the shifter plate bushings and things should be really nice.I dont understand why it would be bad for syncros??
I usually run 10w-30 synthetic blend but for christmas my grandfather gave me mobil 1 full synthetic , i noticed more ticking(sounds like lifter tick) with the full synthetic, is it ok to go back to synthetic blend,??
hey my dude. you have to save them in a different format, I havent done it in so long I cant remember exactly how. you have to save them to excel and i forget the rest
I dont want to hijack this thread, but I am running into a problem finding cv axles for my 94 tsi, the splines measure 28 mm and all the axles i keep getting are 26mm, would an LSD change the size of the cv that I would need?
I have found that are alternators are pretty weak and i found one that claims 90 amps..would this be a good replacement for my alternator that is going out. the one i am looking at is the 3rd one downAuto Parts and Accessories Catalog - Alternator
