I would delete the balance shafts. Nothing worse then the balance shaft belt breaking and going through the timing belt.

Once you bust the nut loose on the compressor the take it apart it needs to be balanced again. Just have a professional do it its not that expensive for just a regular rebuild as long as the wheels are not rubbing housings.

Speed density isnt the answer to any problem except the MAF being an restriction. I dont know why people are so quick to jump to SD when its completely not needed nor should it be used as a band aid for another issue.

16gs arent made anymore. So new stock will he hard to source. This is the exact reason FP only sells the HTA68. I would definitely pickup a used 16g or get a turbo from FP.

I dont really get the concept of this. Ive gotten like 28MPG consistently with my 1g with the 2L turbo. You could put a smaller 4g61 into the car if you wanted to get more.

Spinning the oil pump is going to be the easiest way of finding it. Gonna be interesting to find out what it was. I had this issue but it was cam seals.

It never hurts to have full control over timing and fuel of your car in addition to the other features it offers. I ran my car on 16G on E85 fuel using just a SAFC. Talk about walking an fine line. Car picked up ALOT from ECMlink. The stock car will to and it will run better.
