    so i BLT.. and turns out the TB shaft seals were shot.. the isc o-ring was non existane.. had like half of it missing... and the TPS had oil residu coming out when i took it off to change it over.. so i just bored out the manifold.. and freshened up the 1gT TB and threw er on... its nice now...

    figured it all out... so get this... i forgot to take the waxing sponge i plug my turbo with out of the turbo inlet.... it was deep in the 'ol E316g, so i pressure tested the whole system anyways trying to find out what had caused the problem(before i found the plug) and it had like 8 boost...

    i just re read it... i'm about 99 % sure its a partially collapsed lifter... you state it was louder... then it went away slightly.. .a lifter has a one way check valve in it if you will... and it takes oil pressure for it to "pump" it up to the right height... pull cover... check it out

    the internally gated mitsubishi turbos are simple yet effective... if you remove the O2 housing from the side (3 bolts, 1 nut) and its right there... EXTREMELY accessable if you wish to weld it.. and i'd just weld the flapper shut inside the dump gate area... little MIG would do the trick...
