sounds like a burnt valve to me too. my car was running to lean and i lost all my compression in #1 too and when i pulled the head my valve was toast. if i was you i would do a leak down test.

ill try to go if i can get a new ecu for my n/t(cracked cap) and find out why the auto tranny is not shifting into o/d. my tsi is no longer alive.

you can try to run injector cleaner through it. most likly you will have to buy a new set. make sure when you buy a new set to replace the gas filter to prevent dibre from getting in there.
