Seems like I'm following you around the forums. Well I was able to help you before. I have a two tone interior and I have a carbon fiber dash kit. Check my gallery, I have some pics of it all done.
These posts are great...you always get these "leave it stock guys". Of course to them any body mod is rice. To me all there cars are boring but to each there own. Some of the fastest cars I've seen had body kits. There are even a couple guys who post on these forums who road race there 1g...
First of all I give you credit for trying to be original. Don't listen to all the people that say keep it stock. Having a show car is about being original. First and most important, if you change the color of your car to blue or something, you have to paint the engine bay and all the jams...
There was no modifying needed to get that wing to fit. We had to weld all the holes left by the stock wing. We also had to weld some metal in to fill the hole left by the rear wiper and stock antenna. You can check out some more pics of my car on my car club website...
firehawk, sorry I never responded to your pm. I haven't been on the site in a long time and haven't checked my pm's in even longer. The wing I have is from Aerogear. I forgot the original name (sniper or drag...I think) It was originally intended for a 2g Integra. Check out aerogear.net for...
First off to answer you're question, stickers will adhere. You need to make sure to clean any armor all off. It doesn't adhere the best but if you take your time it should work. I had custom work done on the passenger side. I had a tv molded into the dash then had the dash wrapped in vinyl...
Thanks, I've got about $40,000 invested in this car. I paid $8,000 for the car a few years back, spent about $3,000 in maintanence/fixing stuff, and I've got about $30,000 in customizing it.
PaulPDX - I never tried test fitting them with the stock center. I would guess they would align just fine. I never thought of that since I knew what my plan was. I think that might look fine, I see alot of the 2g guys around town that do that and I like how that looks. I agree with you to...
HondaKiller-great catch on the corner curve, I was always wondering about that. I have a 91 talon and the taillights fit fine, and they don't leak either. I agree you have to paint the middle. When I first put them on before my car was painted, I hated them. Now I think they look great and...
I will try posting a picture. Although I never have much luck with that. If it doesn't work check my gallery. Anyway the hood is from TCSpoiler. It fit fine and the quality is great, just wish the edges were rolled.
wow that turned out really good. almost makes it look like a whole new car. I would think clearcoating them would help prevent any chipping. Post some pictures when their all done.
Thank you stock1g4g63. I never considered my car to be flashy either (except maybe for all the blue):) The front and the wing I added really don't change the body lines to much. My neighbor has a 500hp WS6 and everytime he sees my car he tells me he likes. He even brings his muscle car...
Iheartturbo, dude give us a break, how is a comment like that supposed to contribute to anything. At least jdmawd can argue his points maturely. Stock1g4g63, I liked your analogy. There are lots of things people like and don't like but is their really a right or wrong?
JJay - I thought you already had a body kit, maybe I am thinking of someone else. Anyway to answer your question $800 seems about right price from a body shop. Which kit did you get? If you have the time and right tools mounting the kit really isn't all that hard...assuming it fits properly...
jdmawd,
Fair enough, maybe I did take it like you thought your car was better then most, if I was wrong, I apologize. I do think you were getting worked up, you did call us "rice loving morons". No one called you names. True there are car shows that go on during races. That is only a small...
jdmawd, you think 99% of people prefer you're car over a car with a body kit. Well there are places for things like this they are called car shows. I personally like your car, you obviously can't stand mine and thats fine. Out of everyone posting on this topic you are the only one that seems...
WOW first off thanks for the compliments everyone, I really do appreciate them. Stock1g4g63 I thought your comments were right on (btw I like onions on my burger) Fastdsm1 is right, just cause a car has a body kit doesn't mean its slow. Maybe were the "sleepers" because some people will just...
Jason 84 and drive_eagle thanks for the compliments!! drive_eagle your right that picture was taken at the Honda City show. That was a week after the body work got finished. I actually took 1st place for best body at that show! The front bumper is the RIZQ from wholesalehyperformance.com.
First off I want to say Fastdsm1 and Mickblack, your cars look awesome keep up the great work!! I think "rice" is such an overused word. Everyone has their own definition, I say who cares. Everyone has their own style thats what makes building cars so fun. I love being at car shows, looking...
I bought the Hella headlights from MachV a couple years back and I'm glad I did. I'm using a set of PIAA hyperwhite bulbs and haven't had any problems with them. I think it definitly improved visibility at night. I figured replacing a bulb if it burnt out was easier than replacing the whole...
RiceOverWheat (like the name) thanks for standing up for us, you make some great points! I think my car has "mild" side skirts. There is also an orange 1G with 19s (sorry I forgot his user name) that looks great with the drift kit. IMO you can make a 1G look as good as a 2G, it just takes a...
I think the carbon fiber altezza's look great. I thought I'd get a lot of "rice" comments but the feedback has actually been great. I think every car show I did last year at least 1 person said they liked them. I would suggest painting the middle piece though. When I first put them on I...
Check out my sig and my gallery, I have 18s on my car with 215/35 tires. The car is dropped 2" with Sprint springs. I have no clearance problems. I knew someone selling there 19s and 225/40 tires and we set them next to my car and it looks real close for clearance. We never tried mounting...
To answer your question, yes you can add a bodykit on a turbo 1g. The problem with that is you will need to remove the stock side ground effect panels on your car. When you do this I believe there are 13 holes that will need to be welded or filled on each side. The front and back get...
Mike,As far as the seats go I would say it depends on how much you drive your car. I think my Tenzo seats are very comfortable. I don't drive the car a lot but its nice when I take the car on trips to shows. I've been in friends cars with fixed seats and I think they can be kind of stiff...
ProjectAWDeagle, thanks for the compliment! Thats OK I wouldn't have much of a use for two left arms anyway:D I agree, I think my bodykit flows great with the natural lines of the car. The other kits just seem like there out of place. I do like the drift kit, I think that one is a little...
I think its just tcspoiler.com. I'm not 100% on that though. I ordered mine through a local shop a while back. I think overboost.com sells there hoods to, you might try checking there prices out.
The body kit combination you are looking at is basically the same combination I have, except I ordered from different places. Do you still have the stock turbo panels on? If so those need to be removed first and all of the holes closed.
Thats a great idea. I think there would be lots of interest. I know you could count me in. Good luck and keep me posted on the progress [email protected]. Personally price isn't an issue for me I'm more concerned with quality.
I got my carbon fiber dash kit from NOPI, they go through a company called Florida Auto Trim (try there website, its real helpful) I just got my carbon fiber gauge bezel on ebay, I think they had more on there.
KachurRacing thanks for the compliment. I got the seats at a local performance shop here in Milwaukee. I'll be posting some interior pics as soon as I find some more time. I thought about getting the Psycho's myself, but I think I'm pretty happy with mine. Would you consider getting gunmetal...
How are any rims rice? Thats the dumbest thing I've ever read. I have 18" Tenzo rims, and I love them. They aren't the lightest rims but definitly not the heaviest. I'd recommend them.
