There are 2 water hose connections on the left side of the head running from around under the TB to either a connection on the thermostat housing, or a one on the water pipe running below the thermostat housing. Where does each one go?
You(or your hotel) make cookies for your customers? Thats pretty awesomeGirl who knows a lot about cars + Drives a DSM(and likes it) = marriage material
I have to agree, people don't just roll around with a knife, bolt cutters(for feed/return lines), spray paint and a "highly corrosive" liquid. Also, I cant think of any house hold cleaning supply that would completely destroy a build engine. Also like other have stated no windows or locks were...
My brother and his friends did this. The stood at the top of a bridge and waited for cars to come up, and pretended to throw the manikin over into the water. Some did call the cops on them, but the cops just laughed their ass off when they saw it.
Do you mean dsmtuners, or DSMs in general? If you mean DSM in general, maybe put the three logo's on the top of the lid with Diamond-Star Motors underneath them. and on the underside maybe list record times like fastest DSM, fastest AWD DSM, fastest 16g powered car etc.p.s. subscribed
I've been using clamps to keep the cams lined up, but for some reason the damn belt wont fit and have the oil sprocket and crank lined up perfectly. And yes it's at TDC
Ok, I've tried 7 or 8 times now to get my timing on correctly, and I just cant seem to get it perfect. Either that or I'm crazy. In the pics you'll notice the timing marks wont line up perfectly for some reason, but that is the only way I can get the belt to fit on. Also when doing testing to...
A baseball bat in your car is a bad idea in my opinion. A collapsing baton, mace and a firearm are all good to carry. I don't remember where I heard this but it is a great thing to go by. "Don't shoot what you can baton, don't baton what you can mace, don't mace what you can punch, and don't...
ROFLROFLROFLrandomhero, contact your insurance and tell them that person's insurance is dodging you. And since they wont pay it that your insurance is obligated to pay under your "uninsured motorists" part of your coverage. Your insurance company won't like this and will threaten to sue the...
The "low gas" lights and the "empty" on the gas gauge are notorious for lying IMO. They make them so it read empty a gallon or two(sometimes more) before you run out. Funny story though, I bet that truck driver was pissed.ROFLp.s. I hope you get that job, I hate to see veterans get...
My first job was at harris-teeter, and one day during the summer then heat index was 105+. And some asshole called in so I had to do 2 hours of carts. Well about an hour and 20 into doing carts, i started throwing up and getting all dizzy(heat exhaustion). So I went inside and told them what...
I still have mine in, but my brother just had his removed. He washed, waxed, and vaccumed out his car within an hour of getting home. But weirdly enough nothing ever hurts me in my mouth, or even bothers me. I fell asleep while getting a root canal done.:hellyeah:p.s. I also got a crown...
He was quoting Bierce, who was point out that if the world was designed for mankind, why is the majority of the surface area taken up by oceans in which we can not naturally live.p.s. People are stupid, no matter what they put their beliefs into(or lack there of).
That is your problem. EVERY time you lift off the gas and that throttle body closes, your BOV opens, even if it doesn't make a sound. Recirculate your BOV.
First off take it to a machine shop to have it looked at. The will break everything down measure everything and tell you exactly what is wrong. In my experience most don't charge an outrageous amount for a simple tear-down.As for parts you will need to get everything back in working order...
Is your blow off valve recirculated? If not, you are venting metered air which the the car still thinks is in circulation, this messes with the air to fuel ratio. Venting you BOV is notorious for causing stalling when lifting off and idling(unless correctly modded).
You got me hooked on it(in fact I bought it the same day you started that thread), and my talon is also broken. But that should be fixed by tomorrow(hopefully). I slept in the backseat of my dsm one time. Needless to say my choice of sleeping places showed how drunk I was, I'm 6'2".
You most likely had Chicken pox and Rubella(german measles),or something similar, which is very similar to the chicken pox(skin rash, clears soon etc.).Your tonsils don't retain anything, they serve to trap incoming pathogens long enough for them to be phagocytized by the immune system. It is...
Most doctors say not to do this. The people who say to do that are people who think vaccines like MMR and chicken pox cause autism. Which has never been proven. Also, I would never intentional give my kid mono, because of the length of the infection can really hinder the immune system, which...
This sounds like it would be a awesome trip, the only downside for me is the 6 hour drive in the DSM(no cruise control):ohdamn:. That and I'm only 20 so staying at a hotel by myself is out of the question. Oh not to mention the DSM hasn't run since October. But I will be sure to keep my eye...
The cable for laptop LCDs is just a little wimpy thing short of like a ribbon cable. They are very easily broken or pulled lose from the mobo. Try seeing if it it's come a little unplugged, you'll need to open up the lappy(if it's under warranty, dont do this) to see if it's loose. If that isn't...
You can just take it off, your car would be perfectly safe without it. Many of the people on this site run with no heat shielding at all on their exhaust.
No, I don't have a crap ton of keysNo, neverEasily defeated security measures. Since most keyless entry are IR or RF, someone could simply broadcast all the frequencies and unlock your house. Unless you did a encrypted method like: signal sent -> signal received -> authorization key...
Although having the track to ourselves will be cool. We wont be able to use the track half the time, due to broken DSMs(I was the unlucky one last time ). Also, I enjoyed watching all the other cars do their test and tunes(took my mind off my broken DSM).
Damn that sucks. I hear you on the nose bleed. When I get a nose bleed it doesn't trickle, it gushes(and it happens a lot). One time in school I sneezed(into my sleeve), and then went back to reading(was in English class) looked down and the book was covered in blood, as well as my face/shirt...
You are obviously new here, as you don't understand defiant's humor/sarcasm. Basically he's saying people do stupid stuff, like walking at night in black or riding a bike with no reflectors/lights, and then get hit by a car and blame the dude in the car. Or at least I think that's what he is saying.
Your artist made a huge mistake! Those pistons shouldn't be attacked to the turbo like that. And I bet the compression is horrible as well.ROFLROFLI want a tattoo now. :(
I totally, agree. Something like this happened here in Wilmington, but the woman and he kid died. it was on a 3-lane one-way street. A woman was trying to cross the street(not at a crosswalk) to get tot he Department of Social Services. Car in the right lane stopped to let her pass, dude in the...
My car isn't running, but will be by the end of the week(hopefully). If you see a red 1ga with a busted front bumper, that's me. I'll probably freak out when I see you, as I am in fact DSM crazy.p.s. fear19, I see as your occupation you have "college student", do you go to CFCC or UNCW?
