I had a sprung 6 puck spring popped out and wedged the disc into the front of the trans damaged the bell housing where the throw out bearing sits. read online act had some issues with springs coming out. the car is still sitting in the driveway because my shep trans needs a new bell housing!

take it and measure it. measure the lenght and the width of the oval add the 2 together and devide by 2!

it would have to be a very clean body for me to pay 1000 for a non running car.

mine sounded just like this! I droped the oil pan to find a spun rod bearing!

check fuel pressure and that will tell you if you are overuning the fuel pump and starving the engine for fuel.

test the battery voltage running and then check for a draw. it could be somthing as simple as a radio drawing power with the key off.

do a bost leak test that will tell you if the blow off valve is ok.

also you shoul try to find out what the piston to wall clearance i. that is one of the most critical measurment in any engine

I think it is not worth the risk. why chance it for such a minamal gain. also if you look at any reputable pro race cars they all have some kind of harmonic/vibration damper. as said above it does not have anything to do with balancing the engine rotating assembly. it is about absorbing...

upgrade the motor mounts and an engine damper (like and ingals) helps on the launch as well.

I would say it is more than likely a tire or wheel problem. that is always the first place to start with a vibration

iffr blue smoke comes out that line it means you have excesive blow by the rings. you will need a rebuild.

I don't think you would realy see much of a gain if any. acording to your mods I think you would see the biggest gain from getting a good fmic.

also doo some searching and do a boost leak test. that may be why you don't hear the BOV.

that sucks man good luck. put an air filter on that asap and also fix the stuff as said in the previos post drive it for a litle bit to let the engine relearn the fuel map and it should start running better. the blow off vavle not being recirculated will cause major runing problems.

I was just wondering if this transmission is worth fixing. the intermediate shaft bearing let loose and damaged the area where the race fits into the case and also chipped the teeth on the intermediate shaft. I know jacks does case welding but I don't know if the would be able to fix this...
