Hey guys, I just wanted to drop a line and get an idea of the area. I recently just got my orders to PCS to Mountain Home AFB. So, the area will have one more DSMer. It will be nice to actually have my car(where as I cant living here in Germany).Well, hope to meet some of you guys soon...
Ah, if it were only that easy. The skyline is here in Germany with me and the other two are garaged(talon in Utah Supra in WV) as my wife is currently deployed in Afghanistan. The Skyline outside my house pre wreck:Night of wreck:Post wreck:Talon in the garage:Not...
Rog. I know of a few people selling a 20G. None would be interested in a trade, but if you are willing to drop the cash, please let me know via message. If not, good luck with the trade/purchase.
Well, there is one problem. This "Jiamu t3/t4 turbo" retails for $230. I have yet to see a good MHI 20G sell for less than 500. Not trying to bash, but you said that you are willing to "trade". This wont sit well with some folks as it looks like you are trying to sell your Ebay-ish part for...
Here is the thing about CW. Something like 80% of all CW cases happen under 110k miles. Or something crazy like that. Well anyway, the case is that, if you have a high mileage motor chances of it being cw gets thinner and thinner as the mileage gets up there. I'll see if I cant dig up the statistic.
Good, its not a dead battery. Try a few things:
1. Pull the starter and check for gear damage
2. Ensure that you can turn the motor manually
3. I have never heard of a ground wire smoking, but check all your grounding connections
4. Check your fuses
5. Check lateral movement of the crank...
Wow....I have never wanted to see a car destroyed more than that thing. OP, take a gander at the 2Gs for sale on the board. You wont see shit like that being sold here.
Try to jump the car. Even a car with CW will still try to turn over. The clutch depression issue could be a bad slave cyl. The best way to check for cw is to get a pry bar and pry between the harmonic balancer and the block(dont be too aggressive with it). If you get lateral movement, you might...
OP- Rewire your stock pump, directions can be found here:Rewire Fuel PumpThis will help stop the fp from dropping voltage at WOT. Plus, its cheap and will allow you to save money to get a head.Im running twin Bosch 044s with an intank 255. This sucks when you dont have a radio in...
People like that are why companies like Sponsor America exist.Same here. My FD was red, all 4 of my DSMs have been red, my MR2 was red. The only change has been with both my Nissans(350z-T and Skyline) being white.
Her sis is wanting to buy my Talon, Im starting to consider it as T and I own a Supra and Vette as project cars. The Talon has been awesome, but it took 3 years and $25ish-k to build and over the past 3 years I have driven it maybe 10 times. Most of the time I have spent with the car is tuning...
Now that winter is taking a break here in Germany, its time to start rebuilding Reptar.A little background info:
Back on 1 Dec 2011 I wrecked the car chasing a 996 turbo on the autobahn. We came to an s-turn exit and I took it going way too fast for the conditions(yes, I was being stupid)...
Not my dream car either. But, my wife likes it. Im just ready to come back to the states and buy my C6. My Talon will always be my project car, But Im not a huge fan of spending a ton of money for 500hp and risking reliability anymore.
To answer your question, Im running a BBK Power-Plus 75mm Mustang TB on my Magnus SMIM. If you are running DSMLink, tuning with one of these is a little tricky with the TPS provided.
Well, she is deployed as am I and we just(I should say she) bought a Greddy T78 kit for it. I thinks its too big.We are both 26, we have been saving for awhile to pick this up. The deal was that we would outright buy the Supra if I can buy a C6.Ya, I found a keeper.Ya, she loves...
dump the oil, look for coolant in the oil. Sounds like a blown HG. Replacing it isnt that hard. Buy a cam gear block and it will make life much easier.
My first guess was the dump tube, but that doesnt seem to be the case. I would boil it down to phantom knock. Just as long as the knock count stays under 6.
Well, after too many issues with tuning for altitude changes, I finally made the step for speed density. Does anyone know of a reputable shop around the area that would be able to install and tune?
Not sure. The needle just likes sticking there and when the car is on it reads properly. This has been tested with other guages and honestly, the car isnt worth any more of my money.
