Lol thanks Seth, daps to you for making this happen. So glad I ran across you on FB!! I feel like this combo will be a bolt on monster!!
Machining the housing and rebuilding the 40 are going to run me about $320Shockey I sure will, it will be a month or two till I get it back and installed...
Austin, Ian and James are great guys. Didn't know if this was uncharted territory or not, hence why I asked lol. I saw turboglenn's pics on flicker but didn't know if there was more than meets the eye to this.
I picked up this FP30 .68 A/R housing and I'm wanting to machine it to fit a HX40 can anyone point me in the right direction? I've heard TurboGlenn is the man to talk to.
Dale aka BogusSvo is the man. Like Wil-Own said he knows his stuff and backs his work doesn't get better than that. Speaking of machine work, GET TO WORK DALE I WANT MY MOTOR BACK!!!! Lol jk Dale
^^^^LMAO, in all seriousness I thought it was a joke but.....but sadly enought that wasn't the case. Did you get to the point where he actually drilled holes in the flywheel to "lighten" it? Lol this fail is epic.
I'm pretty sure a few of you have already ran across this but I definitely had to share this for those who have not. This has to be the biggest ass hat ever to exist. This is 72 pages of awesomely goodness. Without further a due enjoy!!!!http://www.lancerregister.com/showthread.php?t=224101
Ok that makes sense. My motor is 8.5:1 comp and Taylors is a 9:1 comp. I don't mind spending the extra coin if it ensures the best seal possible. Taylor on the other hand isn't so sure he's going to. I'm trying to convince him otherwise though. Not that I'm saying standard ARP's aren't suffice...
Sweet thanks guys, that's what I was thinking. People have stated standards will be fine for 500hp but I don't want to take the risk of lifting the head or pushing coolant. Another concern of mine was the L19's was running them with the composite Perma-torque. I'd rather stay away from a MLS HG...
So I've done some research and have not specifically found my answer. Me and a buddy are building for 500-550hp currently and have purchased Felpro's Perma-torque HG. My question is will we require standard ARP's or L19's?
Both will be running boost in excess of 30psi. If this helps turbo's of...
Swapped in a regular 1990 ECU into my Talon to replace my Ecmlink Ecu so i can get rid of my 90 dsm, only to find out it had a leaking and swollen cap...Fail!!!! Ahh the joys of DSM's.
Ready to start on my 91 GSX!!!

Daps bro, that looks extremely good for a DIY. I played around with a spair in garage using a stone grinding wheel. After 10 min I said F that!! Ill wait till I get an angle grinder and a metal grinding disk lol.
Get with Turbo Lab of America. Great prices, great work and great people.
All we were trying to do was convince you not to run that turbo. Regardless if it was free or not, why risk your/his motor to save a few coin. Not worth it in the least bit. Your on the right track now by wanting to...
I've said what I had too. They've spent the last 100+ posts trying to get you to see the light but its obvious you lack the want to. Nothing more to say then good luck!
I was going to stay out of this but the more I read the more it pissed me off. Your blatant and total disregard of the advice people have given you really irritates me.
The Mods and fellow members here don't get paid to give advise. So in all actuality their doing you a favor in replying but...
Sweet me and a friend Taylor are in the middle of our builds now. We'll be tearing up the streets this summer:thumbup:
Not sure how far Ft Polk is from Biloxi, Ms but there are 8-9 of us on the coast.
I stand corrected. Here you go bro! I dug this up from my friend luis. Stock 6-bolt, HKS 272s, full supporting mods, old school FP Green at 18psi on E-85. 422whp and 376tq I believe. Needless to say E-85 is a game changer.
Sorry spade I didnt know this was your thread :o my apologies! If I were you id pick the Holset with the stock TS housing hands down. I was running a Frank 3 20g which is basically an old school FP green and if im lucky would have got me to 450whp. Im leaning very hard on Holset for turbo on my...
Why not just run E85? Meth is terrible for your car. And is that a serious question pertaining to which is better lol?
The HX35 in the a 12cm^2 TS housing will SMASH (if i could bold that word i would) a Bastard 20g on pump. I cant speak for the BEP .55 A/R housing though. Whats a Bastard good...
If you only knew how dumb you made your self sound by making that statement!! You have absolutely no idea what your taking about....STFD & STFU please and thanks :lIts their drive train that has the issues. (and im not even sure if they do) Taylor a friend of mine( AKA Tay-Tay on here)...
Down right nasty!!!! A 1.32 60ft errmahgahhdd!!!
Ive always liked mustangs, 99-04's are the best looking in my opinion. My buddy Jerry is in the middle of his built 347 with what I believe is a PTE 7675. Call mustangs slow or sucky if want but their a force to be reckoned with when modded right.
Im not sure I met Joe. Is he a recent addition to TDC? Tampa mike was doing the tuning when I was there and im not sure he was the "actual" guy tuning. Their mechanics were awesome but the service left a bad taste in my mouth.
Thats not too bad i guess, I was expecting something around that vicinity. Is the 4500rpm spool time on the older 60-1 or is that your projected time on the billet wheel and the TD06H4 turbine?I wish I would have went with the 9:1 comp but im still hoping the 8.5:1 compression will help...
Good deal, thanks again for your input Justin. Ive been talking with a few local guys and they seem to think a billet wheel 60-1 (58mm inducer 76mm exducer on a TD06h4 turbine) would suit me well for goals and leave some room for growth. I just wish I understood turbo's and their modifications a...
Thanks Justin, im still new to this side of turbos so im learning. Do you think I can get 450whp out of this turbo or am I going to spend more money than its worth?
Hey guys I have need some advice on upgrading my Frank 3 20G (T04E54 compressor, TD06 turbine in a TD05h 7cm2 housing). Im getting it rebuilt anyways so nows the time. Im going for 450-500whp on e85, Wiseco HD's 8.5:1 comp, Manley rods, built head with DKS272's . From what i read and if my math...
If your gonna get an XTD make sure its an XTD stage 4 unsprung with a solid hub. The stage 1, 2 and 3 are garbage. IIRC the stage 4 is good for 400whp. If your on a budget its the best choice. I personally ran the stage 4 for about 10k and I liked it. Very little chatter ( at least on mine)...
Dale is the individual that mentioned both methods when I had some machine work done. I just wanted to hear others thoughts before I went ahead and decided.I guess im gonna pull my oil pump out and see what gears are in it when I get home today. Is there a vendor/website that sells the 90...
I've been reading up on both methods of deleting the balance shaft recently because I recently bought a built shortblock with a BSEK. But I ran across this while doing a little research which has me a little paranoid...
