A practice weld on some sch40 ....A little crack repair on a Jackson racing supercharger manifold for a Honda k20a2.....Old insert installed which is what was caused the crack by pulling out on the threads while pushed against the back side of the head flange....With it going into...

read everything i posted..... i had to relief cut it to get the head flange mount bolt holes to line up again. i had to add material to the head flange because after milling it was to thin. so when i welded another 1/4" of material on the sealing surface it distorted way to much to where it was...

well with the 1/16" rod i have to dip, wait for the it to heat up, fill and cap before moving on (because the larger rod cools the puddle) as if it were .045" or .030" rod i wouldnt have to as much. and i dont know what ## buddy is talking about its wrong unless he is talking about pulsing...

ive got a digitial readout on my machine and use a foot pedal for throttle... and actually that was more around 35-38 amps or so as i was not into the pedal all the way while welding that.mike

what do u mean pause and dab? i hit the pedal, weld for an inch or so and stop. i dont pulse if thats what ## refering to.... thats what new guys do.mike

Ok this took over an hour to upload and I chopped it down to 1:35 from 6:14. This is the start..... ill do the last minute and a half later so u can see the end. Everything in between the first and last minute and a half is just welding so ## not missing anything .....Mike...

steady travel speed..... thats 3.5" diameter pipe. i was moving roughly 1-1.5" at a time. i only post flow for 10 seconds then move again. no cool to the touch here that would take way to long urban.mike
