I don't belive you can. I remember reading that you can put a 2g trans in a 1g but not a 1g trans into a 2g. The 2g has 3 mounts and the 1g has one.

My car did the same thing. The motor I put in had stock injectors. Would start and die start die same 5 secs. I put the 550 injectors and fpr and started right up cel went off and has been running. My car has 2g maf.

I had the same problem with my 5.0. I had a wire break that went to the maf harness. No matter if I went WOT or just slowly pushed the pedal. Would bang off 4200.

Pushes car out of highyway, walked 5 blocks to autozone, bought fuel pump,replaced fuel pump.

Sucks you got rid of it. I sold mine a few months ago, the guy just beat the crap out of it every day until it blew up. I felt so bad I bought the car back with a blown motor for more money than when I bought the car running. Good luck with your new car.
