Alright so I've been doing a little research on what's out there for tuning. Now a good friend of mine has a 1g awd that does 11.17s and all he uses for tuning is a safc. He said works great for him, does what he needs. Now this guy is extremely intelligent so I take his word for it. Please do...
I've used ddmtuning and have never had a problem and "bro" don't get 8k, higher the k the less lumens on th road and here in michigan if they look blue on the road they are illegal and you can get a ticket for impersinating a cop. Also with hids in a halogen housing you do not get the greatest...
does make me a little curious as to why zo6s have rear brake ducts then.....but hopefully in the future i will have the money to get some patches welded in. they are not really bad by looking at them at first but i have not been under the car yet. i can only pray that it is not completely rotted...
Here's what I'm talking about. Its a small hole and its on the passenger side too. Yeah easy fix but definately thought it would be unique. Have it start from under the car and enlarge the hole in the well. But not just a random hole put there lol I would try to nicely tube/mold it. Curious...
Yeah the car will be a weekend warrior/dd type thing. Whe driving down in the city for night time cruises on wooward it might be handy I guess because if I decide to play around its a lot of accelerating followed by braking lol. The holes are pretty small ill get a picture tonight then maybe...
So after I finally got my car in a garage and noticed in the rear wheel well its pretty rusty on the bottom, where they usually rot on the bottom kinda where the sideskirt bolts up......I hope that make sense as I do not have a picture at this time of what I am talking about. Anyways, what I...
Thought about doing on the passenger side highbeam makin like a ram air hole and thn make a custom airbox from metal around the intake and have that hole lead right to the box...if that makes sense? But unsure of how that would be for rain and snow and then I wouldn't know what to do with the...
Yea I know this, I've done my research. Just think it would be slightly diff to have four instead of 2 plus my crappy halogen highs. Have all hid high beams
Yea just go to theretrofitsource.com and get some fx-r, best bang for your buck. Plus I think 3000gt projectors would be halogen ones wouldn't they? Not hid projectors.
Yea I used the jnc method its pretty much amazing! If you can look up blurred talons work its also pretty amazing! Quad fx-r I pretty sick, if I had the money I do that or with the newer mini's
No if you are doing a retrofit you can paint the reflector housing and it will be fine. Check out hidplanet.com. awesome info on retros very useful site. You can buy all your stuff from theretrofitsource.com.
ok and throw in different halogen housings and the fact that any hid system in a halogen reflector housing and even in a halogen projector and you are not getting the full potential of the kit and blinding ppl at the same time. so ill stick with my extra "10%" of better vision then multiple it...
i like to think different. you will have horrible vision in the rain. ive had 8k and seen 10k's, i now run 4500k and can see a million times better than anyone with a kit 8k or higher. cool beans to you if you are just simply wanting a pure look thing but if you are wanting to get the best light...
why in the world would you want 15k????? you mind aswell paint your headlights solid whatever color 15k is cause that is just pointless. wont see shit at all and you'll save money buyin the rattle can paint to do your headlights instead of waisting it on a pointless hid kit ;)
see some badass hid setups go to hidplanet.com that site has insane amounts of great info on hids and how to retrofit, all the proper ways of actually going with a hid setup. theretrofitsource.com is where everyone on that site gets all there hids and projectors.
I am a fellow Michigander and my brother tints tail lights for side work, he's a custom car painter. He tinted his tail lights and one night I was driving them around bar hopping and we get pulled over. Cop said tail lights were too dark, there needed to be a circle of visible tail light or...
get the e46 extended shroud i think it is, trim to fit the headlight, paint it white to match the car. once my headlights are cleared and looking brand new then use some 3m butyl to seal them back together and then figure out what h.i.d. system i want to run.
there ya go get that in a spray can and you'll be golden, i wouldnt steam clean plastic parts, i mean ya could but clean it with bleach n water afterwards, rough the area up a little with scotch bright or sand paper. MAKE SURE TO WEAR A MASK!! i can not stress that enough. you do not want to...
Been sandin the outer headlight lens and clear coatin them. Gonna order some shrouds soon and slap everything together. I'll get some pics up soon of the output when I mount em to adjust the cutoff line!
Sometimes what we thought was mold wasn't just like a calcium build or something. I think we tried vinegar I think don't quote me tho. You could also clean it with the bleach paint it with some kills then go back over it with a factory color.
yea with all the right ingredients mold germinates in 12-24hrs and visiible grows in 24-48hrs. with mold on plastic your ok to wipe it. on clothes n such we told customers you could throw it in the washer machine but we just recommend to just throw it away. with object that are semi-porse i.e...
you can go to your local home depot and get products for it. when i worked at servpro as a certified water damage and restoration tech, mold remediator too. we used sporicidin, other companys might use microban. there are tons of products and with it being on plastic just wipe and your good. but...
Beena while sinceive updated this. Been doing some research to try to finish these the right way. I've been researching the jnc mountng method on hidplanet.com blurred talon turned me to this method. My attempt at it is kinda of but its also my first retro and first attempt at the jnc method. So...
just did a talon ga to eclipse gb conversion. i dont know if anyone has had this problem but when putting on the rear bumper yes body line wise it all lines up. on the top part where several bolts go to tighten it down right below the tail lights, with the eclipse gb bumper it sits higher so its...
what about water running down the hood? seems like it could just run down from the top and straight into the engine bay, any worries of that or is there a small edge i cant see to make water travel around it?oh and also is there a hood for our cars that dont have that hump or do we absolutly...
