No. There is an oil filler plug on the side of the tranny. It would be easier for you to gain access to it if you lift the car and go under it. You will also see the oil drain plug near it. If you are going to change the tranny fluid you're going to need a hand pump.

You should have re-timed it in the first place when you first noticed that the timing was off. Being said that you were/are a honda guy, Honda engines are also interference motors.

If you don't have a lot of money to spare, just get a used 7 bolt bolt block and have it and the head rebuilt . A stock 4g63 motor can pretty much handle your s16g. Since you're not mechanically inclined, you're going to spend at least 1.5k before you get your car back on the road.

Both cranks are the same with the manual and auto. There is just a bushing on the crank for automatics that you can add or take out.
