The connector for timing adjustment is kinda just above the battery in that pic. The MAF area does sound like your problem but you will also have to get it in time.

I second this. The more I read I think I will be going to a HX40 from my divided 35 setup. Since I've been looking to see what else is out there, alls I can come up with is some Borg Warner S362 that are divided T3 but then youre looking at over a grand. So lets here it from some 40 owners.

Thanks. I went through auto collision repair school and spent most of my time in a paint booth. All the time to paint anything is done in prep. Painting is simple, you just have to take you time before hand.
I painted a couple valve covers with the VHT wrinkle paint. I washed them in power clean after grit blasting them. I used a heat gun to do the final stage. I then baked it in the oven. Wet sanded the lettering with 600. All 3 turned out pretty good.

Yes you need the oil to the turbo. But not necessarily off the head. You can plum it off the oil filter housing if you don't have the stock line from the head.
I would agree on the 16g. It has a smoother spool when upping the boost. Fuel pump rewire, wide band, injectors, socketed ECU and chip, manual boost controller and good maintenance.
