What you can do is put a valve on your exhaust after the O2 plugs so you open it up at the track and it bypasses the muffler and cat so you basically have a strait pipe while on the track and when you want to take the car home, you close the valve and its street legal.Welcome to DMH Performance!
Yeah I'm talking about on top the reservoir cap where the hoses runs into the cap. its just constantly pushing out coolant through a hole. I'm wondering is the radiator cap should stop coolant from wanting to flow out the reservoir cap hole....
Well i am having a coolant leak issue with my car. At first i had a leak coming from the hose that comes off of the thermostat housing that leads to the oil cooler i believe. Fixed that and now all the sudden i notice coolant leaking from my over flow cap with a hole on the cap where it "T's"...
Would a bad front or/and rear mount cause this problem. My mechanic said my pressure plate, disk and flywheel looked great, no hot spots or cracks, he also said the fingers on the PP looked good, no abnormalities. And i doubt that anything would happen to it in the last 300 miles since i had the...
I'm not going to knock on your goals or TT a 4g63, anything is possible, BUT you have to realize what you need to do to support the TT and not to put too big of turbos on to avoid power gain loss because it is only a 4 cylinder... and TT set ups are meant for 6 cylinder plus applications. But...
Well like the title says, my car is violently shaking in reverse. It done it a couple times, very minor, before i had my engine rebuilt last month. I figured it was just not enough gas or something so i dismissed it. But now its back and is really bad. Does anybody know what causes this or what...
Probably not, you are going to have to re-run all the IC Pipes from the turbo to IC to UICP. I would probably buy some extra IC piping from ebay or extreme PSI or where ever and couplers so you have enough
No, Its on the firewall, i believe the N/T is on the drivers side firewall.<object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/e9YPZbB5ab0&hl=en_US&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess"...
Well if you pressurize the system past what you run at and you don't hear leaks, you're good. If you have a leak you will hear it or see it with the water/soap solution.
yeah new gear oil and i would replace the axle seals while your at it. You dont want to find out they're bad after the install is complete. You are aware of what exactly is involved in removing the transmission right?
I second this! I don't know about anybody else, but i don't believe the work is done until i see receipts or do the work myself. A solid platform will be a whole lot more hassle then just throwing parts onto a car that says the work is done and isnt. But you know, its your car. If you feel...
are you sure the adjustment arm is adjusted properly. Usually you have to adjust it once a new clutch is installed. Did you look at the fork arm moving for range of motion.
the link goes right to it, it says "Instrument Panel and Gauge LED Wedge Base bulbs". those should be fine. almost all the bulbs on the dash, are #74.Oh yeah, i dont know if u have realized it but the bulbs are not what gives the display color. There's an amber filter on the display. If you...
I did all my cluster and hvac with red 74 led's. I got mine from ebay but their is a site Super Bright LEDs - Miniature Wedge Base BulbsYou can also do a Google search for #74 led and you will have a bunch of results of dealers
Wow this thread has gotten off topic... OP- maybe your buddy is mistaking internals from an eagle (MOPAR) to be faster then Mitsu parts.......maybe the new parts are fixing the issue and making the parts feel faster. Simply put, the motors are Mitsu-made, everything else is mixed and matched.
If its a DD...boost, wideband, oil pressure. if you are going to be heavily modifying your car you are going to need more gauges....boost, wideband, oil pressure, egt, fuel pressure...etc...
Why not just spend the extra $40 bucks and get the 90A? I know any parts store can get one. Just stay away from Autozone, their alternators are crap...i know first hand.
Well if your car came equipped with a 90 amp alternator and u have a 65amp you are going to put in, the 65 is just going to burn out quick because its going to be constantly running at 110%. Im sure it will supply the needs of your car for a while, but theirs a reason the factory put a 90amp...
Are you really gonna get that non turbo fast enough on a dirt track to exceed the rev limiter? All you are gonna do is blow the piston through the block...
Check your fork position and travel. Does it act like it goes into gear partially?Possible that the TOB is going bad, Broke the pressure plate, bent the fork, messed up a gear in your tranny.Let me guess, you "launched" your car like people do at the track. This is how alot of people break...
I have a 2100 PP and a street disk with a 16g. i get pretty rough quite often and she seems to hold up pretty good.i believe the act 2100 will hold that. may slip a little when u get close to 400hp
Really? One search "How to put evo 8 ecu into 2g" and this pops up on google.... first result.http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-tuning-ecu/347103-evo-8-ecu-2g-your-visual-guide.html#post151967000
i doubt Mitsu will repaint our cars. they're over 10 yrs old. they may fix the paint on the 2000's models because they're newer and they really did use some crappy paint to save a few bucks.
Did you check or replace your alternator fuse in the engine bay? i tapped the alternator a while back and she sparked and the fuse popped. Shes gonna work but only half the electronics work in the car and she will act like its not charging. If you're not sure if its blown (although it has a...
Yeah your turbo is going bye bye. My car did that a few months ago when my t25 died. At first it was tiny bits of smoke after accelerations and by the time i fixed it, it smoked so bad people couldn't drive behind me.
When i had my head rebuilt, they hot tanked and cleaned it up good for free if i had them rebuild the head. It all depends what the shop does, just gotta ask what they offer for what you are having done.Oh and any half way decent machinist shop will make sure there are no shaving if they cut...
I have the fidanza light weight flywheel, 2100 PP with a street disc. Hasn't steered me wrong yet in the last year. I would upgrade to a 2600 PP with maybe a 6 puck if your looking for a 350+ hp goal.
Do boost leak test, how does your wideband look...running rich?, check to make sure all your sensor connections are secure. what are you using to tune. is your mod list up to date with all your parts?
+1 on the compression test. AND as im sure you will find out from searching (Its the big yellow button in the middle-top of the page)...You may want to do the routine maintenance first and maybe clean out the throttle body and whatnot. A rebuild may cost you anywhere from 2k-5k+ depending on...
Get rid of that alternator from autozone. You were on the right track with parts until the AZ alternator. Get a Napa alternator and start from there. That way you'll know u have good parts to pin-point where the issue is. I had a AZ alternator (not knowing any better) and im on at least my 4th...
Have you tried taking the head down to the machinist to see what they recommend? Sometimes it looks worst than what it really is. They might be able to fix it for cheaper than it is to buy a rebuilt.
