Is "twisted954" bensbaby's brother from the link forums?????? Almost thought we were going to here a "SHUTDOWN" thrown in there somewhere.Sorry had to do it....OP, just do a ton of reading before making choices and pick out the parts from peoples setups that are similair to your goals
Not sure why you are worried about building the engine at this point anyway?? These engines will take some abuse if you have a good tune and supporting mods. Look at my mod list and the power my car is handling, this is on a completely stock bottom end with 118K milesAnd yes "Twisted954" you...
I made a reference in his other thread to the fact that the whole budget thing is an after thought when it comes to these cars running 9's. It takes some heavy duty parts to make these cars reliable at that power level. Its just stupid that people dont think this is a Holset turbo anymore and...
The whole Turbine housing thing is a retarded arguement, considering the car would probably be laying down even more power with the twin scroll t4 housing. This car started on a budget and the cost of the t3 setup is at least half as much as a true t4 twin scroll setup would be. Dont get all...
I dont think most people strap an hx40 on intending to run 9's. Also when you are running 9's with one of these cars, the whole budget thing is starting to be an after thought. It takes alot of parts and strong parts to keep a car like this going when its making that kind of power
I dont know what your budget is and what you are looking to spend, but the hx35 with the stock 12cm^ twin scroll housing on my car spools really nice and builds good power. Im sure at your elevation it would spool stupid fast as Im at around 7250 feet. Just another option for a holset setup
I actually called FFTEC because I knew they offered a stock location throttle body elbow that is a true fabricated 2.5" elbow. Little pricey, but well worth it, it has the perfect angle and all I did was trim about 2-3" from the one vrsf pipe and used a straight 2.5" coupler I had laying around...
God that thing is sexy as hell, I think I might have to call for a price on this before they sky rocket. Dont have an hx40 but it could be in the works at some point, you never know;) Might as well have this wheel just in caseLOL
Kelford cams are probably your best bet for a good high horsepower cam, but just cams and a strocker isnt going to get you 700 hp. And the hx35 isnt a good choice for that power level. The hx40 would be a better choice or a borg warner would be closer to your goals. It takes alot to make that...
Sure wish they would come out with one for the hx35, I guess if they dont a Twin Scroll Hx40 setup might be in the future for me. Justin you will be the first to know haha. Thanks for the hx35 it spools so much faster than the he351 I sent you.
What the hell does it matter honestly? The guy is excited about his new setup and obviously it must spin longer than the turbo on his old setup. I dont think he was coming on here to try to teach or get lectured on a physics or air flow experiment. Its a nice setup man and hopefully it meets you...
Once you have the supporting mods, just go with a 2g maf and it will work great for you. There is no reason to go to a GM Maf unless you are wanting to go big with the turbo and tuning setup.
The forced performance manifold is great but if he has a turbo that is a t3 flange its not going to work. The ERL manifold is pricey but is an excellent piece besides the fact it wont rust
My car hit 400.2hp and 415 tq and went 12.4 at 111mph that was in Denver CO which the density altitude was around 8200ft, stock cam and stock 2g intake and throttle body
Im guessing him running 9's is important to him and it wouldnt happen on pump gas without water/meth, and at that point he might as well stick with Q16 since the water/meth kit is expensive
^^^^^^^
You got that right Justin the race gas does smell so awesome. Thats the part im going to miss the most about switching over to water/meth and pump gas
Yea I am going to be low on funds to for awhile, kind of got in trouble with the cops. So got to pay the lawyer and hopefully not lose my damn license. Live and learn I guess just sucks
Come on Dave quit toying with us an run a 9sec run already lol. Just playing, car looks awesome and hauls a**. I wish I wasnt at retarded high elevation so I could attempt to chase the hx35 record with one of Justin's turbos, that is until you throw one on your car
Why not just wire in your factory connectors to the fans so you most likely wont have the current problems you are having? Or are you already using your factory harnesses
I can get some pics tommorow, The angle is off on the vrsf elbow because it is angled downward and it needs to be straighter. Its cause because of the straight runners on the magnus intake. The piping is also way to long but I can always cut and section the upper pipe no big deal there
Does anyone have any suggestions or fixes for the throttle body elbow and upper intercooler pipe not lining up the VRSF FMIC kit with a Magnus intake manifold this is also with the 3in GM MAF option. I have been looking into the FFTEC or Dejon Tool throttle body elbows but not positive if it...
I dont know if you have seen the prices for axles but they arent cheap and the ford rear-end swap is a cost effective way to not have to worry about tearing stuff up
I have the exact same problem with my FMIC, get a tracking number and then it has never been put into transit to recieve it. I wish I could get a reply about it
