Why john, so you could have given me less than what i got for it. John, Tom is right i might strangle you one day cause we don't like like ###s down here.
Hey guys i know this is a little late. But, is anyone going to the track this weekend, for the spring nationals. I know i am going with a couple people. I just wanna know if anyone else is either.
This would be the perfect opportunity, for you to upgrade your O2 housing. Since you stripped out the stock one,it would be more beneficial for you, to get something with more flow.
the 93-94 has the upgraded brakes, the 92 did not. If your looking for a 2g go with the talon, for some reason they motors in the 2g talons did not get crankwalk, as easily as the eclipses.
The data logger cable disengages the antilock system when hooked up. You will notice that when you have a datalogger cable hooked up, your ABS light will go on. Not allowing the system to work.
Alright so i was sitting back and thinking. Who would be interested in a BBQ come the third week of may. It would be at Mercer County Park ill post directions if needed. I figured some food, and us relaxing in the sun making fun of one another sounds like a good idea. Anyone interested let me...
Hey guys whats going on. So yesterday i got fed up with my anti-lock brakes comming on all the time, i decided to disconnect them. But i did not change out the brake lines and the system, i simply just went into the black box, located on top of the brake system, and pulled out the 12v relay that...
It was good, I never made a pass since my car is not ready for it. John though had a good run on the dyno, 209whp on his second pass, on just his mbc and turboback exhaust. But as we all know everyones car is diferant. But good run john you made us proud.:rocks:
Good thing i found this thread since i have a type s on my car. I am going to a FMIC and full fuel setup. Right now im at 15psi on my mbc, and wanted to know when i move up to 20 psi where to set my bov at.
It shouldnt slip at all with a new clutch being put in, but also try replacing the clutch fork and pivot ball and maybe that should solve all of your problems. Make sure to do the fork and ball also if you are going with an ACT clutch, they tend to need those parts replaced ,when anything act...
Why are you venting, please tell me you have a maf translator and gm maf. If not you should be recirculating. The only way you could even get by not recirculating, is by having a bov that stays closed at idle.
The stock guage is not an accurate guage anyways. Since i have installed my mechanical guage, i have not looked at my stock one since. You will find that the new guage that you installed on your car is a much more accurate guage, so go by that one. But i would still look into why it is not...
If you bought an ebay brand exhaust, they may have sent you the wrong exhaust.Always, go with a name brand exhaust if it is affordable or available for you to get one. Ebay exhaust are most of the time a universal exhaust, and there is no assurance you are getting the correct exhaust for your...
While you have the transmission out, you might as well upgrade your clutch and flywheel. You pretty much are half way there anyways ,no sence installing a used clutch and flywheel that you just took off your car. Buy yourself a nice lightweight flywheel i would go ACT, and also a new cluct...
I completly agree with the other two posts. Most likly it is left over oil or gas, that may have been left in your system when the car broke down. Give it some time also, it should go away within a few days. Its definatly not a blown head gasket since when you give it gas the smoke goes away...
Hey whats going on guys, i recently purchased a front mount setup, and i need some advice on the install for a 1 g a talon. Does anyone have any links to an install for my car, or any advice or pics to show me how to remove the front facia and bumper supports. Thanks for your help.:thumb: :talon:
Why would you want to do things twice. Do it one time and do it correctly. No reason to go with a 190 ,unless your looking for just the right amount of boost to get away from doing the required setup for the future. I would just do it one time and one time only, a 190 will only get you so far.
Yea i know Tom, but it got mad annoying when all i ever hear is homosexual out of his mouth every other post. Tom we need to work on your car, and get it to go in gear.:thumb:
ok question when you disconnected the solinoid, did you put a mbc on. Disconnecting the solenoid is going to allow vacume to escape, and also would only allow the amount of pressure the waste gate acctuator will allow.
Thanks but the question said was should i go with coilovers or a set of springs and shocks. thats my main concern, money isnt that much of a problem i can always save up. I just dont know if its worth the money to spend on coilovers, when all i do is the quater mile.
If your looking to be legal i would go full 3" turbo back exhaust. They are not that expensive since you already have the DP. Why would you want to not have the full system, dont do things cheap you will run into problems later. Plus a little restriction is required for good power.
Some people have gotten rid of it, and some people have not. I dont see why you would need to cut it off. Your still going to have to remove that mount to do any type of work on the belts.
Hey guys whats up, i have a pair of tiens i was going to put on my car, with some good shocks. Then, it was brought up to my attention i should do a full coilover setup. What would you suggest im not looking to autocross or road race, so i dont see the need to go with the coilovers. Any...
this is comming from a person who has never raced his RST cause of some small oil leak. corey ill laugh at you, if u run slower than a 14 at the track.
Im not sure if the 90 would work or not. I know you cant use the 90 trans on a 91 or above. and a 90 ecu is only good for a 90 car. but give it a try and see.
Should i run a new line for the bov line, since it was t fitted to use the mbc. Or can i just go out and buy a female to female adapter and reuse the line that is there already.
Yea i know where you can find one right now. Go to www.jnztuning.com and get their number. Ask for eric or josh they will assist you with whatever you need. Also, since your going act i would suggest getting a new clutch fork and pivot ball.
