As everyone said, it better be next to the regulator on the return line.
The sensor has 3 pins, GND, 12V, signal. Signal needs to be connected to the MAF signal input of the ECU.
Two cars in a single straight Not bad :hellyeah:That Porsche really can feel the Force at his back, lap after lap :DCongrats bro that really looks like tons of fun! Wondering why your cobra brakes are giving up, maybe is time for some air tunnels? idk. Again Congrats!
Wow those cars really look prepared and good! What it really got me thinking was that Nissan engine. Uhmm i was in the mindset that what makes the DSM good, was not the chassis but the Engine?
And this literally is telling me that they choose a DSM chassis on purpose, with a different and...
My car has been fine @2.75 hours of road race. I think your oil cooler can't flow enough through it.
I'm using the Stock tube that goes through the front. And generic auto transmission fluid.
Well. Facebook reminds me that one day like today but one year ago I get the first pair of slicks, to start adapting the car to them. And its been almost a year to daily drive (or almost) in full slicks. The suspension ha been dialed in, she is strong on curves but slow and boring on...
It will be great if you can share this info! i just received a Housing but it have 4 bolts instead of 6, and i dont know if i need to make extra holes or what. Im really really considering use the 17cm stock housing.
That looks impressive! but i already have the HX40 O.o
Today looking at the forum i found this:
http://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/holset-turbos-results-only-complete-installed-systems.313476/page-4#post-152976148It give me hopes again on use the HX40.
Well, i will go for a BEP bolt on housing or a divided 12cm housing, what happens first. In the meantime i inspected the turbo, and its water cooled? I thought Chinese turbos wasn't water cooled. At first i was sure it was Chinese, but after inspection im not so sure. Looking at this Holset...
The goal here is to use a HX40, obtain the lowest lag possible, and at least get 42lb/min. If i can get the lowest lag and can get more than 42lb/min of flow shure i will take it! Boost level is not important.
So the constant here is the 58mm 8 blade HX40. What i can change is turbine housings...
So finally it arrives, THere she is:She have a strange green like coating on the compressor housing. And seems like new. Like it was never installed? Also my friend (the seller) said it was not from a truck.
THe good thing is that she are like new :) it have a 17cm2 housing.By the...
If you can make a manifold thats will be great for the DSM comunity. Because, maybe in mexico is cheap to make a manifold, but ensure it is optimum, thats not cheap, and granted people better will be saving the money to buy the sure thing.
The car is in Mexico. Territory of the cheap Custom Fabrications. I just measured myself a manifold gasket that almost was be put by in Solid Works for the machine works to will put me a head flange to spec in the cheap. And as soon as i get in my door the HX40 i will be making the same solid...
So stock divided housing, mated with a divided manifold will give me the best spool up? right?
In fact that is the easy route i can get. Get another housing will cost me more $$$ than making a custom mainfold.
Please confirm this. :)
My goal is to maintain low boost. To help with turbo longevity and also make it more pump gas friendly.
Actually if that 4K rpm is real, sounds like very good news to me! Is exactly the spool time i was looking for. I've seen lots of dyno sheets with late 5k or late 6k spool times. And that's...
Asking for a little help to avoid waste of time and money here (I have a new baby so money is not to spare :P)I just found a very good deal on a HX40 and i want some inputs on how make it work for my car.My goals for the turbo is about 38~42 lbs/min flow
The lowest lag possible on a HX40 (im...
Looking at this, i had the same issue, i tried with cooper washers, with stainless steel studs, with loctite, and also to make the exhaust fixing points more flexible, Only the last action makes an improvement. At least i was able to finish the complete track day without issues. But it happen...
Wow very good info!!
I didn't espected that crystal clear info on your setup, it is a good recipe for good video telemetry. Now we just need to have your drivings skills! :PShame that my car have a poor 1g ecu, so obdlink isn't an option for me. Do you know if racechrono pro accepts external...
I always wondered how do you do to integrate rpm and throttle to your videos ?They look awesome! and you make look easy to run on dirt, but i know isn't that easy... Congrats!

Received the repaired wheel, tested it and its good!
I really started to think that every wheel needs reparings also, but the wheels are heavy as hell (34lbs per wheel). This slick thing is really happening. So..Aug.05.2016
I found some 2 piece lightweight wheels locally, they are...
Good news.
This has been progressing from being totally un-drivable and unstable to been really feasible.I spend some hours testing wheel by wheel. And i found one of the wheels are not ok. I sent it to the rear, and i made the final testing on the road. It feels better, its usable, the grip...
I have no pics of the car in damaged state, i was in panic, crisis mode.
And still no pics of the reparings. But if you have a 1g and you do lots of racing, please reinforce the weldings!! they are just a few welding points there!!
I had to tell everyone a story, and isn't a good one.I've been testing the new tires on the car, just to be sure everything is okay before spending some $$$ to go Roadracing.Well, with the new traction i was expecting to have oil or fuel starvation issues. But the funny true was that the...

Its been a while from y last update.
And has been passed more than a year from the last track visit. Some rear bars where installed to adjust that camber. As easy as the fronts.I'm preparing the car to return to the tracks, almost everything is ready, but the tires...From years...
Nissan synchrorev is not just coding, it needs sensors on the clutch, PID for air and gas control, and of course Drive by wire Throttle.I don't want to be pessimistic but, everyone is using the traditional method of Drive by Driver rev match... So, i think that synchrorev never will be...
This photos shows just a good looking car sitting there:But then that 1st place is to remind everyone that the DSM platform has been kicking a$$%$ since '89, and its not stopping in the near future.....(Sorry if my english is a little broken.... is not my natal language.... )
When my car start to do that shaking at 60-90 range, for me it means, time to change driveshaft U joints. If it is not wheel balancing, there's a big possibility it is worn U Joints.
I also own two pickups (nissan, GM), the symptom and cure is the same.
Everything was ok....... except for the flywheel, it have some wear. Not even bad, but still wear. The clutch disc we removed was a XTD, and we changed it for an ACT. Aaand because the XTD disc was 1mm smaller, the groove left on the flywheel was also 1mm smaller, this with the bigger disc was...
Its been happening since engine removal and reinstall.
Iven using a xtd stage 4 clutch (unsprung 6 puck disc) without issues, or not like this.
This time i wanted to do the things right (no chinese clutchs) so we installed an ACT HD with a sprung 6 puck disc (ACT). And this time is really scary...
Well. The issue is when i´m driving and being in gear, and let the gas off to brake with engine.
If i press the clutch pedal it does nothing.... is weird and a little scary because it doesn't disengage at all, and pressing the pedal several times doesn't disengage either. The only way to...
Start your engine and pick one of the aem wb, if the ecmlink reading dont match with the gague, pick another until you find the correct one. I had an aem wb in the past and the R1 variant worked for me.
Even if none of the listed widebands match you can create your own Linear wideband (I had to...
Glad to see you aren't running lean anymore. Your engine is happier now.
At this point you need to learn how to assign inputs to log, and why your stock boost gauge is are over the place (quick hint. your boost gauge is not metering real boost or vacuum, is just the internal ecu estimation)...
