I'm not a horn toot-er by nature, but, this system is incredible. I'm an experienced automotive mechanical engineer who has put years of effort into the design and fabrication of this setup that makes me confident to say this is the best "kit" you can buy if you're interest is reduced turbo...
Updated wording from my FaceBook ad:"Come get these out of my hair!Set of (4) stock fitting rims/tires for Mitsubishi Eclipse (1990-1999) and will fit many other cars5 x 114.3, 18" diameter with tired tires. Khumo's (I used on front wheels) are in much better shape than Michelin's (I had...

I’m clearing out the garage. I bought this 10 years ago and soon after switched to my 2g project. located in Canton MichiganPriced to sell. I never ran the transmission but was told by the seller that it was in good working order. It has been stored in a sealed box in a dry/cool area...
Turbosax / Funfetti -Have either of you had issues with your water pump belt tension? What is your mileage and experience using this setup? You guys used different belt lengths (Turbosax - 32", funfetti - 32.25"), and I'm trying to decide which route to go.Thanks
Sorry to hijack an older thread, but I felt this was a good place to ask a few people who have been here before.I recently bought an assembled shortblock, and decided to take of the front case to inspect the machine work. When reassembling the front case, I used all new mitsubishi...
I've been moving forward with the design of this, and have settled on a laser cut aluminum spacer. I like Kevin's idea to put a RTV relief groove in the ring, and I'll try to incorporate that in the machining if it's not a big cost driver. The only remaining question is whether or not I will...
Believe me the thought has crossed my mind. But being that my budget is stretched from this current 2.3 build and the dry sump is $5000, that is not going to happen....Someday!I agree completely on the flange being the better option for stroker clearance and simplicity. I was trying to...
What I'm Looking For:
Pictures of your 2g bottom of engine/oil pan area with all components installed. Anywhere there is tight clearance to the oil pan, more detailed pictures would be appreciated. The Plan:
I'm thinking of modifying a Moroso Oil pan to fit my 6-bolt block with a 7-bolt front...
That answer is good enough for me. I'll plan to stick with my current subframe and take care of the LCA pivot shift with a tubular subframe.I love reading about your builds...Keep up the great work!
Paul,Just to clarify your post - Are you planning to incorporate an adjustment for the fore lower control arm inboard pickup on your tubluar front subframe? I'm interested in raising this pickup ~30mm, and would love to upgrade to a tubular subframe instead of modifying my current...
I was doing a boost leak test yesterday and got all but one leak buttoned up.The last remaining leak is coming from the turbo (16g). There seems to be a threaded hole on the compressor side of the CHRA right near the compressor cover. I have nothing in this hole, and there is a pretty...
Hey all,I am starting to piece together a project that involves removing and replacing the ac condenser. I was wondering if anyone had one out of a 2g and wouldn't mind taking some quick measurements. A picture would also be great. I would do these things myself but my car is a few hours...
Hello,I have a 97 GST and am having the some problems after a stage 3 TRE rebuild. I got the trans in today, and everything hooked up.Shifting was very notchy to say the least, and I could not get the trans into any gear. The shifter in the car moves towards a gear, then just stops...
Brian, I can't seem to find the thread on the link forums that suggests the bolts and the plate. Could you post the name of the thread or a link? Thanks,Mason
Bringing up an old thread. I'm considering buying a used trans suposedly with a quaife and stage 2 TRE rebuild. The seller has no reciepts, but gave me the serial numbers. However, Jon @ TRE hasn't returned any of my phone calls or sent me a reply for my email. The trans has stampings on...
My flywheel comes in tomorrow, but for kicks I called the local Mitsu dealer. They want $13.56 for the spacer plate and $5.02 per bolt. I'm definately going to wait until I know if I need them.
Thanks. I'm assuming the spacer plate is about 1-2mm, so if you had a bolt that was 4.8mm longer than stock, it would just about cover a 4mm thicker flywheel and the 1-2mm plate to give you about the same number of active threads.I ordered my flywheel this morning, so I'll be sure to measure...
Thanks, I'll give them a call and check out the lead time. Before I order the bolts and the plate, I just like to make sure I'm clear.1. Can you confirm that the Fidanza 7-bolt FWD flywheel is in fact 4mm thicker than the stock flywheel at the bolt hole locations?2. If the...
Thanks for the quick replies.Freeman - I sent extremepsi an email about it. For some reason I never think of parts vendors as knowledgable people, I just think of them as a website. I'll keep you posted on what they say.I still have a few questions1. Brian - I assume those part...
This is a question from the older forum "Flywheel bolts for a Fidanza Flywheel?"I can't post in that forum... I have been on this site daily for over the past few years, but I usually find my answers through searching and rarely post...anyway.I recently had some trans trouble, and while I...
The quaife is a much stronger differential than the stock one. However, becuase the Quaife decreases wheelspin, it actually puts more load on your transmission. If anything, your gears take more abuse with the quaife installed.
I have the 3 pod setup. The bottom gauge sits about 1/4 inch off of the dash (just enough to smear some armor all under there). The gauges obstruct your view about 1" more than a stock pillar would (pertrude into the windshield.) I autocross, but haven't been since installing the pod. I...
I recently installed FIC 950's in my car. Before that, I installed Link, but didn't spend an excessive amount of time fine tuning my stock 450's because I knew I would soon be installing the 950's.Now that I'm getting to the more fine tuning, I was wondering if anyone had any experience...
So...My car starts/runs normal, but lately there is this strange noise on start. From the drivers seat, it seems to be coming from the left side (drivers side) of the engine bay. The sound coincides with the motor turning over, and sounds similar to a motor turning over, (Cah woh woh woh). I...
As far as purchasing goes, I already have 180 sq ft of "Rattletrap Extreme." Its made by Fatmat, and is comprable to the Dynamat extreme. I easily have enough to do 2 layers, and I'm thinking I might just because the stuff is so thin. I was looking for some opinions on if that was neccessary...
This is a question for people who have installed dynamat or some other kind of sound deadening mat. I have "Rattletrap Extreme," it's a tar based material that's just less than 1/8 inch thick. Any how, I am coating the entire cabin area with this stuff, and was wondering how well it works. I...
I do not need NLTS, but I will be using the launch rev limiter, so I still need to do the wire-up. Do you have the data for the diode (I would probably just make a wire with stuff from radioshack).
First let me say that I searched for a previous thread of this, and didn't find my answer. But if it's out there, sorry for digging up old news.I am ready to install DSMlink, which I bought used off of DSMTuners. I am pretty sure it is a ligit copy, as the previous owner hooked me up with...
I think you have satisfied me about the tuning. Of course more voices are always reassuring.Anyhow, have you or any of the others running the aem rear setup noticed any measurement lags due to the sensor being further back on the exhaust system?(The reading that you are seeing is...
Thanks for the quick repliesHm.. very mixed results haha. Count is 2-1. About removing the rear O2 - will that throw the CEL? Also I am getting link within the next week. If it does throw the CEL, is this one of the DTC's that link allows you to disable? Thanks again
Quick question. I am installing an AEM UEGO gauge. I noticed that the AEM gauge has no wiring harness or connections for the stock O2 sensor wires. My question is, what role does the rear O2 sensor play in stock ecu tuning. Does it play a role in fuel tuning, or is it only for a 02 check...
DSMER's:I am sold on the air to water setup for my car. I've heard great things about spearco's air to water intercoolers, but I have also found another kit which seems to be suitable for my car's power goals. Has anyone heard of the site below, or tried this setup?Water to Air...

Thanks for the quick replies and the $.02A boost leak could be the problem, however that would not explain why is is suddenly lean after the pump/regulator install. Testing for boost leaks has been on my list for some time now, so this may be the motivation I needed.I can see what...
DSM Community:I apologize if this topic has already been covered in the searches. I looked for it, but could not find a forum about this type of problem.I recently installed an Aeromotive FPR and Walbro 255 fuel pump, and rewired it with 10 gauge wire power supply wire. I set the base...
