Got a follow up tonight with some updates and a note that I wasn't subscribed to Neat's mailing list, where they will send updates from. I clicked the subscribe button, added my email, so should get updates going forward.
This is the email I got back on 12/3 after the first round of orders, none since. I don't really expect to see any emails until the major updates are ready.
Adding to the tread:
A rear diff cover with added capacity to help keep temps lower for road racing/autox folks. Wouldn't have to be as big as this Greddy example, but you get the idea.
Working on our 2001 Nissan Frontier Supercharged, unfortunately it's not a fun job. Replacing the knock sensor that went bad and it's buried below the SC and every other plenum, sitting on top of the block. It's still a nice break from the VR4, every bolt comes loose like it's supposed to.
When it was removed, it worked perfectly. Been sitting for a while now, but no reason it shouldn't work well once its correctly setup for the next car it goes in.
AEM EMS V1, Serial Gauge, IAT, MAP Sensor, New Brantz rally trip meter for speedometer input, associated harnesses. Not pictured, but included: Serial Cable.
Ran my GVR4 with this for nearly 8 years, including time daily driving it, but decided to switch to ECMlink as the build changes...
Good call on stopping fast too. Is this a 1G or 2G? Generally, are you looking for advice on an upgraded setup, an optimal OEM setup, or fixing issues you're currently having?
Looking for a good used (with little or no spline wear) or new 23 spline transfer case input coupler. This is the receiving coupler for the 23spline output shaft from the transmission.

Haven't wire wheeled it, I think it will knock off the surface rust though. My main concern was whether or not the fact the inner lip being gone was an issue, whether it plays an important part of the proper function or not. Thanks everyone for the replies, looks like I'll be keeping an eye out...
In a lesson in buyer beware, I bought a 4 bolt axle setup from someone on here, it's had quite a few issues, including side cover damage. But, this thread isn't about that...I went to clean up the axles and start to replace the boots when I noticed one outer cup and the axle end that mates to...
Shot in the dark, but when this happened to me it was a wire that came loose on my rewired fuel pump relay. You mentioned you confirmed it has some spark, what about fuel? Does it have a fuel pressure gauge to confirm there is pressure? Can you feel the injectors clicking while cranking?When...

Update:
Thanks for all of the feedback from everyone. I think the main takeaway is lope-y cams, harder motor mounts, and an un-tuned idle made for a pretty rough idle at first. It is better after addressing some of these issue. So, from my original list:Visually confirm cam gears are still...
Thanks for the feedback, I've never felt what that might be like, so moved it up in my list of checks before I start pulling timing covers. I still have to move the car back to the garage, so going to check the 2 items while its running before checking the balance shaft. I remembered doing the...
Hoping to make sure I'm looking in the right places to diagnose this issue, any suggestions appreciated.Issue:
At warm idle the motor almost feels like it is stumbling. From the engine bay it sounds ok (no loud noises or vibrations), but the vibration in the cabin feels really rough. Even with...
Literally just did this job, this is how I did it as well, no problems turning the motor after going to TDC on number 1 and installing the timing belt.
Completely agree, without it, there is a good chance it leaks and ruins your clutch. It wouldn't take much for it to be out of alignment without the pins. If you have the time, I'd re-do it, you can probably do it faster the second time anyway.
RTM is a good company and makes good stuff. They're also responsive if any issues come up in my experience. Plus, nobody else makes a kit to repair the broken tank studs as far as I know. That said, it looks like a pretty involved repair, so I would expect to spend a lot of time getting it right.
Great question, testing would likely take the form of tapping the block to see if I can get any readings with the engine off and then taking similar pulls and comparing results. To your point, its not very scientific, ideally someone with instruments to measure the filtered frequencies, or...
Just a thought, but does the car have a chip with a stutterbox set to 5000rpm? The clutch pedal signal may be out and causing it to think the clutch pedal is constantly pressed. I'd only check this if the 5000rpm hold is really consistent. It sounds like there are other issues as well, but this...
Thanks for putting this together, I am doing this all now and it will be super handy. In case anyone else is determined to torque everything to spec, here are the additional ones you mentioned:Clutch release ("slave") cylinder: 11-15 ft/lbs
Clutch release cylinder banjo: 14-18 ft/lbs...
Got my hands on both (DSM & Miata) knock sensors and will be testing this once the car is back together. Will share the results when it happens, but may be a month or two...
