My friend is tryin to talk me into a holset setup t3/t4. I think either will get me to my goal but i dont want a tubular manifold thanks to chp being assholes. I want an hta 82 or 86 w/fp mani and e85. I want 400 ish on pump and 450 e85. Thoughts.....?
ive been considering the hta gt3586 & hx40. I cant find any site vendors that sell holset though. looking for 450ish and pull hard up top. I just want my engine bay to look stock as possible thats why im interested in the fp mani
Im building my 1g and looking to hit 450awhp with no budget, but trying to spend as little as possible. Do you guys think the fp race manifold is a going to get me there? i mean its $275 fp vs $550 for an ERL mani.... THanks!

I have the tokico illumina suspension kit from extreme psi. When i put the spring over the shaft, its angled upward. Meaning the shaft isnt in the middle of the spring, its closer to oneLOL side. Is this normal? On my stock shock & spring its in the middle, i dont know what to do, thanks! 2g awd

So i called extreme psi today to order a 3"maf. They told me they stopped selling the 3 inch because it was having problems. So i called dejon tool, they told me they sell "newer" gm mafs that look alot different than the the old ones..

How much torque should be applied to the V clamp on a e3 16g? I know this question is noob, but there isn't any gasket between the two halves of the turbo, only the clamp correct? thanks
Instead of making a new thread ill add to this one. I have No oil/coolant leaks, no visible cracks, I have new crush washers on all my banjo fittings, everything is torqued to spec. Smoke seems to be coming from in between the intake and exhaust side where the clamp holds it together on a 16g...
I wouldn't use rtv to fill the fiav ports in the throttle body or to block anything for that matter. RTV is typically used to create a gasket or help seal gaskets. If you use rtv for this , at least use the black one. If you want to fill the fiav holes in TB I would suggest JB weld to assist...
So these two wires in the backround are to the idiot light sensor, and the oil pressure sensor. The other two go on a bolt on the alternator thats secured with a nut. The plug that i am holding goes on the alternator as well. But where does this last wire go that im holding along with the...
WOW what a noob move i pulled! I can't believe it. OK i get it, the ground doesnt connect to the starter itself. It connects to the starter bolt on the transmission. Thats why i could not get it to reach the back up sensor. Like i said earlier, its been a whilie since ive worked on my car lmao...
Hmm. The plug on picture 1 wont even reach the backup sensor once the starter is bolted down. I dont see how it could reach that far. Unless i have the harness on the starter wrong. But it cant be because that small spade connecter is plugged into the starter by the +/-.

Im just putting my car back together, i removed my AC/EGR/fiav/isc/vacuum lines a while back. So now that im putting it together i couldnt figure it out the plugs i wouldnt need.. Thanks again!!
Can someone Please tell me what these plug into?The first plug is on the harness right next to the positive/negative terminals for the starter.
The 2nd plug is near the fuse box right above the transmission mount.
3rd plug is the small circular shaped one next to the two that plug...
