Currently I am running a single walbro 450 with fic bluemax 1650's and a Fp green XL. I have pretty much maxed out this set up as I am at 90% duty cycle on e85. I am wondering if the full blown dual tank set up can run 2 of the walbro 450's? From what I've found, people use 2 of the 255's. Or is...
Finally made it to the track for the local street legals. New personal best was laid down at 10.59 @ 125. 1.54 60' running E85 now and dyno'd 453whp the same day. I broke my ring gear on the very next try, so wasn't able to improve on it. I launched at 15psi.
1.72 with stock wheels, stock suspension, and H rated all season continentals. The car was making 330 whp on a mustang dyno at the time. full weight auto and about 150k miles on the clock.
I had a similar experience with my own set up. Went from kelford 264/260's to the s-2's and matching springs and picked up 75 whp. I also switched from a re-circed o2 housing to a external dump, so don't know how much that accounted for.
I had a similar issue as well. when wiring it up I had to connect the gauge wire and the ecu wire to the 5v wire from the sensor (brown). that was the only way to get both the logger and the gauge to read the same. I have different colors on the db gauge too (purple[not used], blue, red...
depends what kind of dyno. I made a peak of 382whp on a mustang dyno with a 2.3 through the auto.
I was around 340 with a built 2.0L. 94 pump and meth on both.
Mine did. And it is oriented the opposite as the one between the flex and crank. Meaning the concave side faces the trans.Although yours is a 7 bolt, not sure if that makes a difference.
Keep us posted on how that works out for you.I am planning on using the studder box (vss based) to control launch rpm. So far it is working, except I am pulling through the brakes. (4 pot gto calipers & hawk pads)I also think it might be possible to wire the base timing to the brake switch...
I dont think they are radical at all. Compare the specs from mine to the fp3x's. The lift is the same and mine have 4* more duration.http://store.forcedperformance.net/merchant2/graphics/00000001/data/1013FP_FPCam3x.pdfSince the turbo is maxed out there is not likely to be any significant...
I have the car mostly done now. Just in time for winter! yay! :(Made 364/299. :thumb: The turbo is maxed out at this point. spiked to 31 and fell to 24 @ peak power. pull was done in 3rd gear. didn't make anymore power when the boost was increased. pump gas 94 and meth. corrected numbers...
Just watched the video, and it looked like the car pulled through the beams. It looked to me like it moved 2 feet before the green hit, and no red light. I would say equipment malfunction. sorry.
nice friggin job!I would also like to know what cams. 2.0 or 2.3? is this the ball bearing green or the other one thats half the price? Also, what were the dyno #'s?
ok, how much of the exhaust is going back into the cylinder when the piston is near TDC of the exhaust stroke? The way I have it, the exhaust closes 2* later and the intake opens 2* sooner. It sounds like you are thinking of the compression stroke.
I had the same trouble for a while. Do you have adj. cam gears? I ask because I have been told to run more overlap to help with spool. +2int/-2ex. I also found leaning out the afr helped too. I also had no effect playing with the timing. I was also running a re stalled stock converter.
ICBC has a separate insurance policy called modified. If it is that big of a deal you can have it insured that way. You may require it to be inspected, but as long as its mechanically safe you should have no problem. I wouldn't have told them about it. Was it ICBC directly or the autoplan...
I am considering meth because of cost. Methanol is $10/ gal even if I buy it from somewhere like home depot. 94 octane here is close to $1.50/ L. Now that the car is going to see limited street time, it might be worth it. E85 cant be imported here. M85 is 85% meth and 15% premium gas. The gas...
I am looking for info on changing my fuel to run straight meth. Specifically m85. The reason for this is that there is no e85 available in this part of the country. So i am looking for compatibility on our fuel components with meth, and what brands or models to go with. Currently I have delphi...
Gearing is defined by the transmission. It was already mentioned in this thread that the rear gearing in the 3S diff is the same as a DSM auto's. I still haven't seen anyone post any REAL info on why the 3S diff is better than stock.
