Graveyard bump, I just finished installing a new water pump and I'm having the same issues. Timing marks are in check and everything looks to be connected. I tried to keep the install as simple as possible. Turns over fine but just will not crank.
I know this is a stupid question but can anyone post up pics of how the tensioner / brace for the alternator is supposed to be installed. It's been a while since I've messed with the car and decided to put it back together. I either don't have the right bolts (unlikely, keep everything in ziploc...
A girl I know just wanted me to take a look at her car after the express lube used an impact wrench to tighten the drain plug. They ended up snapping the head off of the plug.
I told her to take it back to them and make them fix it but she said the shop was over an hour away so she went to...
If I can ever get around to finishing up my brakes and changing the water pump I'd like to set up a track day. If anyone in the area is interested just shoot me a PM. I rarely check subscribed threads so that's the best way to reach me.
Seems like everyone has covered all the basics. Hope the deal works out for you, just don't cut corners when modding like some people :p. As far as the 6g72, I couldn't agree more. I just picked up a vr4 and dread doing the 120k service in a couple of weeks :ohdamn:
Fixed! Apparently I forgot to reinstall the injector resistor pack. Feeling like a bit of an idiot for something so simple, but I thank you guys for the help.
Got up this morning to see if I could find that plug, still no luck. I've followed down every wire in the bay. Here are some pics of whats on the firewall near the fuel filter.
Can't believe something so simple is getting the best of me :ohdamn:
The smaller purple one is in the bulk of wires going behind the intake manifold but comes out about where the proportion valve is. I cant seem to find the connection for the bigger grey plug but I'm sure it's buried somewhere underneath the battery tray. I had all of that out and I feel like...
EDIT: Meant to point out that all the fuses are good.Turns out I'm not getting any spark. Almost positive it's because I unplugged something and didn't plug it back in. I've got three plugs against the firewall disconnected behind the intake manifold but couldn't find out where they go.I...
Like the title says, I'm having an issue with my car after installing an ABS delete kit. My car turns over fine but will not ever start. The only thing that has changed is the delete kit. Hoping someone has some ideas while I'm tracing down the issue. Also, I plugged the ABS unit back in to...
With the luck I've been having with my craigslist ads, I may start a "people that call you about shit you list on craigslist" thread.
How are you gonna ask what the lowest I would take is, then offer half of what I say? eh, I just had to rant. I've delt with retards all week.
With gas prices going up I decided to put the hemi up for sale and stumbled upon this....:DI picked up my 93 Sandstone Grey VR-4 last night. Bought it for 4k w/ only 95k miles on it.Planning on fixing what the previous owner did and keeping it stock with maybe a nice...
Mine had gotten pretty bad but would buck and stutter when trying to accelerate. Started off kind of mild and only happened every once in a while but got worse. You said its not doing it after it warms up though so I'm not sure if that really is the problem.
I've definitely thought about it, but the only thing keeping me from doing that is knowing that the profits from selling it could go towards DSM goodies :D
Thanks! I'll check both of those out. The last probe board I checked out was about as dead as the mx-6 forum. This car definitely seems like it has potential, but I'm hoping to resolve the issues and flip it for a profit (which means more goodies for the DSM). Just wanted to take a shot in the...
I'm posting here because the MX-6 boards are almost completely inactive. I picked up a 91 MX-6 turbo from the dealer auction Thursday for $350. Everything is fine on the car except the paint (which is being taken care of this weekend) The car does have a couple of issues I need help with and...
It would require a lot of work, but I've tossed around the idea of doing an LED conversion and light up the center section. Something similar to the new Chargers while still keeping a stock look.
Ahh, this blows. Thanks for the help guys. Hopefully I can get this straight as soon as possible. I miss driving my car.Sending the ECU off tomorrow.Instead of starting a new thread on the fuse I'm having issues with I figured I'd just post some pics. I finally got the blown one out but I...
A little precursor to my problems...I was finishing up my car and had asked my roommate to install my battery while I finished up minor details. I heard some popping and found out it got installed backwards. :thumb: Lesson of the day...Don't ask for help from people not mechanically savvy...
Mine is too damn lazy to attack anything. I don't think he's full pit though. Looks more like a Boxer and Pit mix. Lazy fool is asleep at my feet as I type this.
Since I'm a Dodge whore I'd say get a Hemi Ram. I love mine! Minor mods and I've gotten it down to a 14.1 in the 1/4. With an e-fan and a light foot I can usually manage around 17 city/ 22 hwy mpg. That's reg cab and 2wd though. I bought mine for 7200. w/ 54k milesNot mine :p
Post up a pic of your car or at least let us know the color. I'm not a fan of aftermarket tails and I'm iffy on smoked tails because some color cars look good with them, others, not so much. Just my opinion though.
So, I feel pretty dumb asking these questions but I couldn't find an answer anywhere and I'm more familiar with Hemi's and 6G72's :pNumero Uno : I'm replacing the thermostat & housing. The thermostat came with two identical gaskets. Just one is sufficient right? I would assume so, but I'd...
Usually water or Redbull (sugarfree) but if I'm in an alcoholic mood it's either caribou lou, a mix of vodka-water-and crystal light (it's a healthy alcoholic drink)
or.....
For sure, I gotta finish piecing my little pos back together and get it to the paint booth. Just can't find time or motivation to finish it. Maybe seeing some nice 1g's will change that :p
Next time I'm on the coast I'm getting a pic of some guy with a charger "Donk" that's been intensively redone. It's a legit two-door (not just shaved rear handles) and is a convertible. It's just got a tacky paint job and 28's ROFL
