The 1st and 2nd gear syncros are usually the first to go but trying to eliminate the problem buy doing the cheapest first is the best thing to do. I had my clutch pedal welded and got some new bushings and my car shifts like a dream.
I've never had the ratteling but grinding yes. Check your shifter bushing, clutch pedal adjustment, and there could be some air in your clutch lines as well.
Okay guys its time to do a timing belt job on the ole DSM, however I have a rebuilt motor that has been sitting in my garage for around 4 years now. The rebuilt motor was taken out of my talon bc I broke off 3 flywheel bolts at the track one night. Now I had to get the bolts drilled out of the...
Whats up guys. I have a 6 bolt long block, removed balance shafts looks to have been rebuilt. I pulled it out of the junk yard along with the AWD tranny and transfer case. It all came out of a 91 gsx.-long block: $500
-transmission: $350
-transfer case: $200I figured i would give the...
See thats what i was thinking is the fans. I cant fine the CFM rating for the fans that came with the kit nor the kind a of fan they are. Ill have to contact PR on monday to try and find out. But im thinking its the fans.
i cant remember off the top of my head. yeah both fans come. well it was the kit with the shroud but it wouldnt fit with the lower intercooler pipe down by the ALT. so no shroud.
a little over halfway. the check engine light came on bc i have link set up to let me knw if it gets to hot. i didnt get a chance to hook it up and look at the actaul temp. the thermostat isnt that old either.
nope i was almost home and bam it just started overheating on me. I mean i know its hot here in florida but i dont know why it took so long to overheat.
yeah the fans are turning on and pulling air through the right way. i never had any problems with the stock radiator but in had a little pin hole leak so i replaced it with the front mount install since i was already in there.
I installed a punishmentracing aluminum radiator and their slim fans and their fmic kit at the same time and i drove the car yesterday and it was doing great for 30 minutes or so and then it started overheating. Just wondering if anybody else has had this problem.Thanks.
welcome chris im in brandon so if you ever need anything im around. That is a nice platform to start from i found my 90 awd like that execpt the paint was good.
Craftsmen break type3/8. Dont like the snap-on digital kind bc batterys die and its to easy to hit the buttons to adjust the toque and next thing you knw your torqueing somthing with the wrong torque.
It overheated because your alt belt/ water pump belt broke and your low on coolant because your water pump was not turning so therefore you will loose alot of coolant because it turns into steam. Replace the belt replinish your coolant and see what happens.
i just picked up a 97 talon tsi fwd for $1000. its got a evo3 16g, upgraded fuel pump (not sure what kind) greddy turbo timer, greddy fmic, a full suspesion (not sure what kind yet its purple) slotted rotors. needs paint go figure. it runs like a champ but quite frankly im not really sure what...
