The Stage 3 head from Buschur is O-ringed. So, you need to have your block machined for the o-ring. They'll machine a receiver groove around your combustion chamber. It makes a better seal when you're seeing high boost, and just a better seal all in all. It's one of the reasons I say the Stage...
We haven't gotten it installed yet. We're still waiting on my custom pistons to get back then have to start fab. work on a lot of things. My builder says it looks top notch though, and, it's from Buschur, so, you know it's good :hellyeah:Now, so you know, with that head, you'll have to get...
Definitely overkill for your goals. I only went with their Stage 3 because I'm looking for 850+ at the wheels :hellyeah:For only 4-500whp, you'd be good with a stock head, with upgraded springs and cams :thumb:Now, if you're just wanting to go ahead and get it now, just in case you want...
I agree, what's your HP goal?! I just received my Stage 3 at the beginning of the year from them. I'm in Afghanistan, but my builder says the head looks great :hellyeah: And that's a lot of head if you're not going to have the supporting mods for it. IE: Everything else pretty much already...
I've heard good things about the 280/276 combo. :hellyeah: I'll probably be using something similar in my build (doing custom grinds through Kelford though :thumb:)
Yeah, Need2boost runs a 2.3 and is pushing around 700awhp with no problems. I believe he has about 4k on that motor. I'm doing a 2.3/2.4 build now and I have no worries at all. I'm looking to put down at least 850awhp :thumb::hellyeah:MAPperformance also has there FDSM as a 2.4L and they put...
I think Need2boost was running these on his stroker motor with a S366. Except I think he was running 280/276. He said that it was an awesome setup on the street, of course, it was in a stroker too :hellyeah:I'll be running a pretty aggressive set, except they're going to be a custom grind...
:thumb: Nice builds!! I was thinking of doing a RWD setup, but I just love the AWD platform :hellyeah:I should probably look for sponsors to try and save some $$ but everything is pretty much bought now already anyway ROFL Only thing left is the rotating assy. :thumb:
I was looking through the Dyno Challenge but it doesn't distinguish whether or not it's a 2.0, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4.... can we get that added too :D I'm currently building a 2.3/2.4 and myself and the shop was wondering what the top dyno is so far. I know Kiggly runs a 2.3 and dyno'd 784. Not sure...
Yeah, Pauls my inspiration for my build :thumb::thumb: - 2.3L Stroker with Eagle 100mm Crank, Pauter Rods, CP stroker pistons, BR Stage 3 head, Kelford 272's, TRE "High Torque" Transmission, ProEFi Pro128 EMS, etc...We haven't decided on the turbos as of yet though. I'm hoping to have the...
40psi by 4400 instead of 6k :idontknow: That opens your power band up A LOT. And gives you the acceleration of a crotch rocket lol. Instead of your power band from 4600-4800 up, it's from 2500 ish up :D. I'm doing a compound turbo set up on mine as well, just because it's going to be a street...
Just like the title says, I'd like some opinions on my build list before I get started :DMy goal for the car is ... as much power as I can get lol. I'm planning on building big, but I want to still be able to retain street driveability (I'm only looking for it to be tuned to around...
I didn't notice this forum first, so I posted this in the hangout ... so now that I found it, I'm posting here, here's what should have been posted here originally ROFL :Well, heylo everyoneI'm not new to the forum, or DSM's.. but new to posting on the forums I've been lurking the forums...
Well, heylo everyoneI'm not new to the forum, or DSM's.. but new to posting on the forums I've been lurking the forums for about four years, (joined 09-19-2006) I'm getting back into DSM's now too (this will be my 4th 1st gen). I was going to twin turbo my 350z but, I decided the money would...
Yea I plan on having the tranny done by october, which is when I'll get to take it to the track as well :D I come home from Iraq on R&R in Oct. So I'm wanting to have it ready when I get there ROFL
Yea, Money isn't really an issue so I'm not worried about the cost :thumb: Just only doing the head or tranny before Oct., and the rest afterwards :D. I've pretty much made up my mind though after making the post that I'm going to get the Shep stage 3 rebuild, Koyo radiator, FIC 1150's, Also...
Ok, so I'm (well a friend of mine is) picking up my new 92 TSi AWD on Friday. The mod list currently is:Engine:
4G63T block bored .020 over
Ross 8.5:1 Pistons
Manley H Beam Rods
ACL Race Bearings
Polished and Balanced stock crank
Stock Head
BC Titanium Springs and Retainers...
Also SHEPTRANS.com - Home is a good site as well; it's who I'll be buying my tranny from if I get this 92 TSi I'm looking at. Also, where abouts in Iraq? I'm in Balad at the moment  :thumb:
