I love the heat. When not at work I will be out cutting the grass, skateboarding or whatever from time to time. I just dislike the humidity. That type of heat is the worst.
After seeing that car all I could think of was this.<iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/ap5Sw3xsZhU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Yeah I would lose the balance shafts. I had the same thing happen to me a few years ago on my 90 n/t. The balance belt broke when I pulled off from a stop sign so I missed doing any damage. If you really wanted to keep them I would get the Gates belt kit.
I have seen around here in VA its mostly about looks. I had a Thermal R&D system on my Talon and got pulled. I was let go with a warning. If you have an import car with a giant outlet 3" or more you are a target. I went to the muffler shop with a custom maganflow setup. I have a hi flow magaflow...
99.9% of the production body kits for all cars look stupid to me. The only body kits for any car that I have seen that looked nice were custom one off pieces.
I went with my friend from VA to NY to get his Talon. It depends on what it's worth to you. I know people who have hopped on a plane from VA to Cali and drove a car back because the price was right. When it comes to auto or standard I say look at your daily driving. If I had to deal with heavy...

I agree that you should give the car a good check over. The 1g I just bought had a bunch of little problems that could have been solved easy. Like coolant hoses not being tightened down or on completely like they should be.
There is nothing wrong with buying a turbo off ebay. Just make sure its not a knock off. There are plenty of legitimate turbos and sellers on there. Just like with everything else in life you have to be careful when buying. And those turbos do look small.
I just pulled some from another dsm in the junk yard. However the female spade connectors will work fine. That is what my brother did when his connectors fell apart.
I also agree with going with Ecmlink V3 Lite. Its a great price and gives you plenty of tuning options. I am debating about getting that on my dd or going full out Link like I have on my other car.
^^^ I agree to the regular maintenance and check up on everything. That goes from fluids, spark plugs, and filters. You never really know what the owner before you did to th car. Also take a look at all of your belts. I didn't check the belts on my beater GS and the balance belt went on me while...
Don't worry you will. I ended up getting all new hardware for my pump install. That included the bolts for the fuel level reader as well. I had the tank out though and was cleaning it also doing a line upgrade so it wasn't that bad.
He doesn't have a 420a it is a 4g63 non turbo 2nd gen. Going by his past post he was trying to get documentation so his car can be basically classified as a GST in his country. However he needed the paper work to prove that his car was converted to the same specifications as the GST. He stated...
Go ahead and replace it all now. They all probably have the same about of miles and abuse on them. Better to replace them now then have a major failure down the road.
Nice looking car. I love the look of a clean 1g. I say go along with what was stated do general maintenance and check your ecu. It is a 1990 make sure it isn't showing any signs of having future failure.
I agree. Hit the junkyards or check sites. There are plenty of 420a guys floating around. My friend alone has like 4 or 5 parts car 420a's in his yard. So check around.
I don't know if this will help or not. However try downloading this pdf file from the link posted.Download PDF Mitsubishi Eclipse Technical Info Manual | PDFTown.com
Hit the junkyard. I go and pull clips, plugs, wires, good bolts and such. The junkyards in my area don't charge for that type of miscellaneous stuff so I take what I can.
Trust yourself. I say to be safe and because you don't trust anyone get the afpr. If you don't need it then what is it going to hurt to have it. That is if you have the funds to do so.
I agree. My friend lived in Va and had to hit New York for his 95 tsi awd. Me personally I am looking for a 1st gen awd shell and I am checking everywhere from MD to SC as a starting point. The drive is worth it if you are getting what you want or better at a good price. So look at what other...
I say check tension again and pulleys. Also do as you stated and check the power steering belt. I had a a sequel under the hood and that's what it was.
