What's Magnus currently running now? This is the land of big budget money. ;) I think I would rather street my car than drag it though, I enjoy the act of back country road driving with twisties.
If it can wait, my Dad is moving from London On to Edmonton AB, after hunting season in On this year. If you had posted this about 4 weeks ago, I had a crap load of people move out here.Good luck
I am looking to buy a decent driver's side tail light assembly for a 97 talon tsi.Let me know what we have available.
Local would be better but I need one and if the price is right, it'll be bought. Thanks,
Zakk
I found my 98 tsi awd in London Ontario almost 4 years ago. Stock, no mods. 135k km on the odometer.
Listed for $3000 because he was going back to school. I got it for $2k. Just keep your eyes open and be patient. ;)
No worries. I was just curious...I'll probably just import my r34 gtr when the time comes. I found a really clean mkiv supra though so I am torn.Good luck with your search.
I have an engine, make me an offer on it.It was apparently just rebuilt. I was going to use it for a built backup motor but if you need one. ;)
Make me an offer.Injectors with rail and fpr $75 sound good? I sell them to honda guys for $100 a set normally.
Yeah, those I need for the swap and since the car that is being changed into an awd is going to be a dedicated track car, the extra ones that came with the parts car are being used as spares ;)
Interior isn't bad, the carpet looks decent, seats are pretty good.
Panels look good, I am pretty sure that the previous owner painted some dash trim pieces, I have to check and verify that. I need to go through and make sure they are all present as well.I'll go and take some pics if you like...
I would put the -an line on. In the future, it'll be a lot easier to change your turbo out if you don't need a new gasket and sealer on the return. Just think of how many times you will be putting those bolts back and forth into the oil pan. ;)Just mount the flange brackets to the turbo and...
Morning :)I am parting out a 1992 eagle talon Tsi Awd.
Blue with 160k km on the cluster.I picked it up for the transmission and Awd swap for a fwd.Let me know what you are looking for.
Yeah, I had on shear like that before... it happens.
Looks like a -6 an fitting... I see you already have one.If something like this happens again, just take the piece you are connecting to with you and try fittings...It probably didn't happen but you may want to check the line and the afpr...
Your build project looks fantastic. You have done a really great job getting all your stuff fabbed up and getting your own work done.I can't wait to see the final result and see some numbers from it.
Any luck? A local amsoil dealer wants me to run their products in my track car for a year and see how it does. I get all free fluids and they get some advertising, if the stuff works, that's a great deal. Interested to see what more people say on amsoil but I'll probably try it out anyways. I...

If you are going to use your uncle's Fiberglass shop to make the molds, might as well get him to order the carbon fiber through his shop and produce your own parts. If you want to as well, keep the molds handy and you can make parts for other's to offset your own costs. ;) That's what I do with...
The problem with using them for racing is: Unless you autocross, any kind of multiple cars on the track at the same time could result in a crash or rubbing. It gets expensive really quickly to replace the carbon fiber bumpers each time you get hit. I know from personal experience, that's why my...
The hard part is that the mold that needs to be made to make these parts requires on average 150 man hours to produce. Tie that into the actual material costs to produce the mold and then the parts. It is unfeasible from a business perspective to fabricate all that for less than 15 parts being...
It's my buddy's build.
He has 268/272 cams, gears, valvetrain, arps with a decked head sitting on aftermarket rods and .020 pistons.
All intake and exhaust has been changed, bigger turbo and a lot more fuel for her too.To get the most out of it, I would assume a decent port and polish would...
I have a quick question.A shop here in my town ( remains nameless) built my buddy's motor and did his head. Upon inspection, there was no porting done to his head.I was away in the army and upon my looking at it today, I will be completing his build for him. Here is how it sits...
I got a 97 GSX shell for christmas. I also got 20 anniversary shootout dvd, egr block kit, fuel pump rewire kit, ss brake lines, master/slave clutch line and possibly a custom carbon fiber hatch. No one got me anything car related yet, but I got some cash for more parts. :)Just gotta take the...
One of the previous comments was how with the stm style kit, regular pump gas would eat the proclassic style line. After the previous poster switched to E85, the raw fuel smell in his garage disappeared. That being the case, is the pump gas eating the hose?I have never had a problem with...
Unless you drive more on the track than on the street, stay with the recirculated setup. You can run the external setup but it'll be loud as heck with atmospheric dump. There are also a few threads in the how to's that explain what style of wastegate would work best for you, etc. I apologize...
I have a 6bolt head I just bought for the internals.I also have an extra set of 3g lifters and a set of stock cams if you need them.
I think I also have a set of 2g springs and retainers, just not any rockers.I am up in Edmonton. I have someone that is supposed to be getting a bumper from me...
There you go. I'll be up in the Barrie area. I was supposed to be bringing my talon with me but with some supplier short falls, I'll fail to have her completed in time. I'll be bringing my ram instead.
Hopefully that helps.
I used to live in Ontario.Make sure for your emissions testing, you select a shop that cannot do awd vehicles. It cuts down on the number of tests.Your chances of getting through an etest inspection on scathed is based on the technician doing the inspection. Some of them will know what your...
No experience with the VRSF setup. Although it is similar to my SSAC FMIC setup I am currently running until tomorrow afternoon. Had to cut my car to make this short route fit, also had to trim the bumper and remove the fog lights to mount it to those holes.I have the PR FMIC setup mocked up...
Beyond the three year old post part.Did you use crush washers? Did you put any kind of rtv or sealant on it or the gaskets? Is there a clog in the return which could lead to the oil coming out above the tube as the weakest point.
Is there too much oil?
All these could be contributing factors...
You have all the right lights. I know for a fact my switch is done. None of my lights work. The mirror lights come on manually or with my door unlock/lock button on my key fob. If the switch were functional, the lights would work when the door is opened. You have the 2 mirror lights and a kick...
Base Circle: 1.179"
Lobe Lift: 1.388"
Cam Lift: .209"
Net Lift: .355"1.388 - 1.179 = .209 x 1.7 = .355Correct? But what exactly does that mean in terms of my cam?My HKS stamped 272 Exhaust Cam is:base circle: 1.179
Lobe: 1.427
Lift: .248
Net: .4216So what does that mean? In the...
Sorry, I went through my engine blueprinting books and none of them use any of those terms.I assume and please correct me if I am wrong, as well as for anyone else requiring this info, that base circle should be taken where the cam shaft rides between the head and the cam cap.Cam Lift, would...
