hey guys, i got a 96 eclipse gst and im tryin to replace the passenger side axle but it wont come off the hub. i tried pounding it out with a mallet but no luck, i've tried soaking it with wb40 in hopes that it would loosen up but no luck, i've rented an axle puller but still no luck. any...

check the gaps on the plugs, i had the same problem about a week ago. my gap was set at .044 (stupid autozone) then i closed it in to about .029....and wallah! problem solved!! i'd check that first. gluck!
Sup guys, i have problems trying to get my car into first gear. its a 2g GST 5 speed. first gear actually works but i have to jam the shifter hard in order to get it in gear.. this is the only gear thats giving me problems. could it be the cable???:confused:
alright guys, fixed the problem....the plugs were gapped to high so i regapped them to .028-.030 and that solved the stuttering....thanks for all the help and suggestions, now i can move on to fine tuning the engine...about time!! thanks again!!!
alright i think i figured it out. the positive cable was hangin on by a thread, just enough to power the lights and what not. im gonna cut it and rewire and see if that helps, ill keep ya posted.
i tried getting a jump but still the same thing. i figured that i would have to pull the starter. where can i find the starter motor? is it on the bell housing?
Sup guys, i got a 2g gst and the freaking thing won't start. the battery seems fine, all lights are on and everything else works (windows, wipers, etc.) when i turn the key all i hear is a clicking noise and nothng else, it won't even turnover. i'm guessing its the starter motor but the car...
ya...thats wut autozone and the bosch website recommended....044, i'm running just basic bosch plugs, copper core....i regapped those to the specs you had mentioned but haven't had a chance to run the car ### my battery's dead...:cry: ....so ngk's are the way to go then?? i figured that much...
Ok, i bought some new plugs and wire set for my 2g GST....the plugs are bosch copper core, and the wires are also bosch...just basic setup.....autozone told me to gap them to .044...is this too wide????let me know...thanks!
ahhhh...ok, the plugs i got are bosch plugs, just basic plugs nothing fancy...the guy at autozone told me to gap them to .044....maybe thats why...hmmm..ok let me re-gap them unless they are gapped ok? does it matter what type of plugs they are to determine the gap size?
when i accidentally switched the plug wires on my honda it was causing misfires that resembled wuts happenin to my 2g now, but i know for a fact that my wires arent crossed cause it idles and runs fine up til 2500, they are also new plugs and wires.
ok, im plannin on doing a boost leak test soon, but i want to tighten down the couplers first to see if that helps. now, if i remove the couplers do i have to worry about anything spilling out (oil, coolant, etc.) im really new to the turbo scene so i dont know exactly what happens when you...
Does anyone know how to fix the outter handle for a 2g GST? The locking mechanism is working fine along with the inner door handle but the outter lifts but does not open....any help is greatly appreciated. Thank!

ok i checked the turbine, it spins freely with lil or no shaft play at all...but i did notice that there was oil within the intake....is that a big problem?
I smell exhaust fumes but its primarily because im runnin only a downpipe and no cat or exhaust, my girlfriend said she saw smoke come out the back but i dont recollect whether it was black or white.
I havent gotten it above 3k ### ill switch gears just to keep the car moving. I've only driven the car from the guys house that i bought it from and just around the block.so if i pull the actuator arm off the valve, i should be able to move the valve freely? and if i can't could that be...

Alright guys, this is my first time owning a DSM. i got a 2g and im having issues with the car stuttering at around 2500rpm-3000rpm. I talked to a friend and he suggested changing the plug, wires, and coil. I did the first 2 along with an oil and oil filter change. The car runs smooth up til...
