My head and oil pan were never removed.I basically raced myself, didnt care too much.Imo, changing clearances, decking stuff, cryo/shot peening, rod bolts and whatever other built engine voodoo you choose to do kind of defeats the purpose. But hey, as far as I know I still have the...
I have never used our catback with anyone else's downpipe, so I can not.I can however make our downpipe with a 2.5" flange at the o2 housing if you so choose.
I designed, built and tested this product on my 100% stock gsx.First, the cat was removed, jigged and replaced with a test pipe. I then worked backwards off of that to develop the catback with the stock downpipe still in place. Only after the catback was completed did I remove the downpipe to...
I don't really see a point for a -8 option... -6 will outflow any single intank pump available and be cheaper to run.For those making a double pumper, 2 -6s to a -8 again will be cheaper to run and will be able to handle anything the pumps can throw at them.Just my thoughts, but if you...
315 is no slouch on our machine, I don't recall seeing an hx35 go over 350. The flat power and loss of torque was due to the knock. Thanks for coming out and nice car!
There's nothing safe about 400hp in these cars. Yes, it's easily done, but it's just as easy to break if everything isn't in line 100% of the time....but that being said, I was north of 400 for many years on my stock 7bolt.You need cams to make that power without really pushing your set up...
It was soo long ago...I know spacers were used, I can only assume they were 15-20mm.Wheels were 15x8 +40.I think the face was ground down because he wanted it that way, but I can ask austin tomorrow and see if he remembers.I searched around his old threads but couldnt find any info...
Yes...15's can be made to fit. Some grinding of the caliper was required but really not a whole lot.A 15" wheel with a little more inside clearance than a rota slip may not need any modifications.
We've had these batteries in several evos and gtrs and have never had a problem at all, they're pretty awesome. Im sure both exceed the 14.2v/50a output...it may be more of a "we're not gonna warranty that" kinda thing.Weight savings would be 55 lbs over a stock relocated battery...worth every...
...How the hell do I make it work/what do I need?I am a complete audio idiot, normally I don't care enough to do anything about it....just turn it up till the speakers almost blow then back it down a little, or pull it out all together because its heavy. But for this car I would like to...
Unfortunatly there's a bunch of different clips, you can see all the different part numbers on the picture at the bottom of the link...these are the only ones we have online at the moment, but certianly can get the rest. They are also held on with a 1/4" strip of 2 sided tape at the top edge...
Welp, its apart...Either a a rod bolt let go or the wrist pin broke off the piston, hard to say. Found a half a bolt in the pan, but was strange it let go at about 6500 in 2nd gear.original composit head gasketSpit a couple rockers. Cam took a chunk and a couple bent valves, other...
It was holding 34-35 up top and spiking close to 40. Car weighed 2340 without me in it.Im waiting for the video camera, the whole tare down will be taped start to finish. Hopefully shawna will be around during for carnage pictures. But, some pictures and videos are starting to surface....
Its the original motor from the car with just over 100k miles on the clock. Head and oil pan have never been off. it was bought stock and dd'ed for about 7 years with various turbos on it (16g, 50trim, 30r and currently a 35r). Ran it's first 10 in 08 with the 30r and c16. Was then torn down for...
.....the end or an era. The stock 7bolt is no more.Yes, that's a piece of the piston they pulled off the track and somehow made it to my hands thanks to Shawna.Carnage is extensive, holes and bodily fluids everywhere. Very happy it went out with a bang and not something stupid...
Nope, I only got the one. After going through a half a dozen stockers on the drivers side, I figured something had to be done. Still have a bunch of passenger side axles piled up, as I've never broken one on that side, contacted dss and purchased the one and haven't had a problem since. The...
Caliper, pads, brackets and hardware = 4.85 lbs
Scalloped rotor and hat = 6.5 lbs
Standard rotor and hat = 9.35 lbsThe posted weights were indeed for a 2g duel caliper setup, my car.:thumb: Now you're free to do your own math.Replacement parts are easy to come by, we almost always...
Nope, there's nothing in the car, if it looked neat i'd post pics lol. It's not awful, just not up to the rest of the cars standards I suppose. lot of wiring is gone/tucked. I got 20 lbs out of the dash harness alone. Just ran out of time before the shootout, mine is always the last to get...
The front of the cage needs to be added on to make it legal, along with a window net. It'll have to be done before I take it to the local track.3582 with tial housings

Ha, it's a little scary in the car... get it in 4th and pray, seems like an eternity though i know its not there for very long the end of the track can't come soon enough.Ive got a couple things up my sleeve, may have another go at it here in the coming week. Weather is forecasted for...
No, but at last years shootout it weighed 2650 without me in it with a full interior...if you look you will find it, that weight should be very easy to achieve.
