I think my fix was I rewired everything nicely thicker wires, new connector, more grounds and i believe that was what fixed the issue. It is warm but not burning hot like before.
For sale I have Galant 90amp alt (60), Saturn 140amp 1wire (80), 2g transistor (20), fp turbo oil feed filter (15), ignition wires ACCEL (30), ignition coil (20), reverse backup camera universal brand new (20). Prices are in ()! Message me, need these items gone asap! Thanks!
hmm the battery light does not come on at all, or maybe when key on, don't recall, but when key on all lights go on as normal, when car on no lights are on. But with Saturn alternator, I thought since it is a 1 wire it eliminates all other stock harness wires. I just have a 0 gauge straight to a...
Hmm I checked the engine light just now and it turns on then off after about 5 sec, normal operation. I had a bad d103 cap in ECU and Tom fixed and inspected ECU, tested working, before I wasn't able to log on dsmlink, now that I put in the new ECU I can log and everything seems to be working...
Hey guys, I have been having this issue since hurricane Irma passed by here in FL. Car was sitting outside, not sure if maybe the wind or rain could of caused anything, although no flooding or any damage happened at all to the vehicle or the area nearby. But anywho, before hurricane car was...
Well I'm running the STM rewire kit:http://www.streettunedmotorsports.com/parts/stm_fuel_pump_rewire_kit.htmI believe they use a 10gauge or 12 gauge for that blue power wire. I replaced the thinner blue wire from that connector and used the thicker gauge blue power wire as one full wire...
Hmm a little confused here. Can you be more specific on instructions here? If it still heats up it means bad pump? Also I removed spade connectors as well and I soldered still heating up.
how exactly would you measure votage drop from one wire? I replaced the ground from relay and put it on a strong chassis with no paint in the trunk. Same ground I'm using for negative on battery. It still heats up. I then replaced all connectors and ran them as one wire, the red and the black...
Hey guys, have an issue. I did the rewire as this guide for 2g AWD:Now I eliminated stock connectors and am running a bulkhead fitting with the 5 wires connected directly. Before the rewire everything was perfect no heating of wiring or anything. After rewire, we rewired like diagram wired...
Hey guys, been having this issue for quite a while and can't seem to solve it. On a very cold start, the car starts up nicely, sometimes. Other times it is hard start and when it does start, it idles rough for a few seconds and dies. I restart it and same thing, it keeps dying and dying. I rev...
Hmm, well since I thought alternator was good, I reinstalled alternator and it ran good for 20 minutes, I check voltage at alternator and it 14.5, at distribution block it was 13.1, and battery at 11.75, this was after 20 minutes of idle. In the beginning when warming up, alternator was at 15...
Hey everyone, been having an issue with the car, like always.. Car was fine, then out of no where while driving on the highway, the car stumbles and CEL comes on for a second, then car goes normal again. This happened a few times and I noticed battery voltage real low (have battery voltage set...
Yea mine not recirculated and never had this problem. Mine still holds up and has been on since they first out. I DD with 27psi of boost. I know locals with this BOV and they are good. Buy an o-ring for that and fix it.
That makes sense now, forgot about the LC1 box. Advance carries mostly Bosch as their o2 sensors. I'll try and look for 17014 bosch sensor today when I work. I'll try to recalibrate if it doesn't work, I guess I'll buy another sensor, my o2 is only less than 5000miles old can't believe it is bad...
Nice thanks for that quick guide instead of reading the long PDF file! So LED really isn't needed? I would assume the LED would give you exact problem, such as bad o2 or bad gauge?Anyways can one run a Bosch o2 like AEM or do you have to buy one straight from innovate? I work at advance and...
Mine is doing the same thing, I keep reading this wideband is known for this problem..Should of went with AEM. Mine slowly went like OP and it would go back to normal. Now mine is completely dead, says 7.4 all the time, on ecmlink it states 7.4 as well, so I know it is not the gauge, is it the...
Wow I read 30 pages I still do not fully comprehend Meth injection. I pmed devilsown and no response...well from what I read I need to choose nozzle size and install before iat sensor. Can it be installed before bov? As I have no more space on upper ic piping. Also I'm running SD and ethanol. I...
I'm in town for a couple weeks actually. And yea that my gsx didn't bring it though too far LOL. Since I been here I have not seen any dsms here. Just looking to meet fellow dsmers around this area as I may move here.Sent from my SPH-M820-BST using Tapatalk
I'm actually in San Diego right now for vacation I come every year. I'm in downtown area looking to meet dsmers around here as I know no one. If any meets around let me know.Sent from my SPH-M820-BST using Tapatalk
Those are both non NGRs, I have had my NGR BOV since it came out and the internals do not look the same. That diaphragm looks real thin and cheap and the lip is way too small and thin from what I see. The plate below it is also different and the valves are different. That diaphragm looks so thin...
Heres my facebook, I think this is the link to it:Welcome to Facebook - Log In, Sign Up or Learn MoreStill new to facebook lol add me dsmers, make sure to put note from dsmtuners so I can approve. :hellyeah:
Devin, so it is a T3 with an adapter plate to fit the fp manifold? I was planning on doing this with an hx35, but doesn't it sit everything lower, thus o2 would not fit dp, turbo will sit too low, etc? Keep reading negatives on adapter plates. How did you overcome this obstacle?
685whp on a t3 .55 hx35?! Where is this? Link to dyno? What is the most on bep mitsu housing? I'm assuming it should be in the high 500s if 685 was done in t3 .55
That looks nice, I actually need one for my hx35 route. If price is in the 200s that is perfect, can't stand these o2 housings being so expensive! Can you make it like maperformances?MAP 38mm MVS External Wastegate O2 Housings / Stainless Steel (DSM) - Modern Automotive PerformanceFor...
Yea it sensitive, I was like you, you need to adjust it to harder. Only make like a quarter turn and keep testing. I went with like a full turn and I missed the sweet spot. Now mine whistles loud and it recirculated. Switching to Speed Density today, so will be vented, expect it to be real loud...
That came out real nice man. Your bumper does not sag down, you do anything special? Mine sags a bit and is not hitting anything under the intercooler. I wish I had something to hold it up to look clean.
I have attached pics of how mine looks with 40 series tire on 18 dropped with coilovers. Now you guys think a 45 series would fit nicer? And not rub? I plan on raising it a bit more to fit the 45 series. In the last pic, you can see the side to side gap, in which I want to fill in. The reason I...
Unfortunately most care about sound, I was the same, I always wanted a greddy, but too many problems. I'm happy with my NGR one, still has the nice sound and it does not leak at 35psi, been around 2years already :rocks:
I see, damn so theres a negative for me if I switch to SD. But if you have boostest matched with actual and wideband matched with afrest, wouldn't you be perfectly calibrated to log airflow and it should be accurate? That is how I get my reading, although maybe it is because I run MAF and SD is...
Runnig speed density? I remember reading on link forums how you cannot calculate airflow with speed density? Why is that? I thought all you log is airflow.
lol Rickys old car. How much you flowing? I have a 16g, probably maxed out, flowing at 45lbs/min and have an hx35 that I may put on once I dyno mine with 16g, trying to get airflow numbers on that hx35. Is it also on T3 or BEP mitsu housing?
I'm also in the market for coilovers, but am so undecided. I hear bad things about coilovers such as ksports, megans, tein, etc, for a DD. Is it true that Konis w/ GC are much better than true coilovers? I'm all DD and I do not want to feel every bump on the road, etc. The Konis are around 600...
Really? I thought it was a self dampening shock. Does it have a knob to adjust soft/hard? From pictures that I have seen, i do not see any sort of knob for adjustment. Also where do you buy these split design prothane bushings?
I'm planning on getting the Koni yellows too, but are they adjustable? Looking through pics I do not see them as adjustable. This is the only thing from steering me away from them. I was planning on buying them with the GC coilovers.
Perfect guide snowboarder! I'm assuming the bolt sizes are the same for gst and gsx right? The one that STM sells, it looks like bolts you just find in Home Depot, the head size the same as stock or a 17mm head size?
How can you tell? Do you guys just eyeball it? I can tell mine is negative a bit in the rear and still have stock suspension. I'm thinking the 18s is what messes it up. I think I will just buy the STM kit since they have free shipping :rocks:
You have pics of what you trimmed? Trying to visualize which lip. I have 225/40/18s but on stock suspension and they have too much gap. I do plan on getting some coilovers to drop it, but I want fatter tires. Anyone try 225/45/18s? Pics?
