Hello!
Winter came early for me and started to tear apart the car.
Turbo failure has made me put the car away early this year and am wanting to rebuild the motor.
The motor runs fantastic but is a factory bottom end and light head work. (its a stock 6 bolt)
Going back into a 1993 eagle talon tsi...
a cable tie broke and swung into the intake side, no filter was attached. stupid mistake funny how failure of a 20 cent part could cause so much damage
yeah that is out of my price range unfortunately the painful part is that my fp green has no more than 100 miles on it. It not completely blown the inducer is scratched from the turbine fins being bent... so hopefully the repair wont be as much as I think it will be... thanks for your info!
So yesterday I gernaded my fp green 73hta turbo (rubber line made contact with the turbine) and thinking that it may cost more for a rebuild and really don't want to spend another 800$ on a new fp green I was curious if it were possible to mount a borg warner s300 to a fp race manifold?The...
where are you guys running your widebands too? I'm very interested in doing this setup if someone could post a pic that would be great! I'm going to be mounting a 2.5" pipe for the exhaust with a 90 out of the hood off of the o2 housing and a 1.75 pipe for the waste gate dump also with a 90...
it is the forward facing, thank you guys for the quick reply. i was going to drill and tap an extra port but didnt want to remove the whole unit. and was curious if mounting 2 would affect the pressure thanks again!
a quick question, i know that i have to run the oil feed off of the oil filter housing. but i was curious if there would be any problem with oiling if i were to mount a t off the filter housing and feed both the turbo feed and the aftermarket mechanical oil pressure guage?
I've searched and searched and really can't find any info on if i can feed my turbo with my forward facing oil filter housing. Recently the turbo that was on there was fed with the head oil feed and that actually blew out the seals on. So i recently purchased a FP Green turbo and can't figure...
recently I bought a talon with HORRID shifting and I replaced all the bushings in the linkage and the shifter assembly and it was good as new. The bushings were about 8$ a piece though:idontknow:
I ended up sending it out to ecm tuning to give it a once over. It was 50$ so felt it was worth it for piece of mind :thumb: will post if they find anything
for the fuel filter couldn't you cut out the fuel filter and run a gas line between the cuts to rule it out? not sure if you would want to do away with the fuel filter... just thinking out loud
I will definitely crack it open. The car in general is great shape and the problem occurs really randomly. At idle, Driving, cold start, hot starts etc. But will definitely do some searching when I get home. Thanks!
