I just got towed home. I hit a puddle near my house, wasnt more than an inch deep but after I went through it my car started running verrrrrrry rough and wont idle. I got towed home and dont know where to start. Any suggestions?
I just recieved my after market ebay under drive pulley. I was doing the installation and noticed that my OEM alternator belt wont get tight enough. With the new pulley is it possible that I have to buy a new smaller belt...
I just broke my factory under drive pulley and have a light weight one on order. I am installing another factory one until the after market one arrives. Now my question is, can I not hook up the AC belt or does it need to be connected? I wasn't sure because I notcied another pulley and wasnt...
I just picked up a 93 eclipse with a factory rebuilt 7 bolt and a big 16g. Its an an automatic. When the car is in park it idles at 2k and then when you put it in drive it will drop to 1k. I went to inspection and they failed me because of the idle. How do i adjust the idle when it is in park?
Problem solved!! I didnt think it could have been this easy but the upper IC pipe rubber connector was off a hair and I guess a little boost was leaking out. I didnt even think to check it cause it was a perfect 9psi so i thought it could have had something to do my with boost selonoid. Oh well...
I was driving my car around this morning at 15psi with only the typical high RPM problem of breaking up because I dont have a tune. Then later on that day I got into my car to go to work and it won't boost over 9psi. I check all the vacuum line and they are all still on tight. I cant figure out...
I have a rebuilt 7 bolt in my 2g with stock internals, evo III big 16g, 550cc injectors, 255 fuel pump, and a SAFCII. Now Ive heard that depending on what size injectors you have installed it will effect the initial setup on the AFC for you TH point settings. Im not sure if this is tru, but what...

Ok, I bought a new rear shock for my AWD and am about to install it. Am I going to need a shock compressor to do the installation or will this be a job that anyone can do at their own house with basic tools?
I already have AAA, but I have to upgrade, I only have basic. It will only cover me for like 3 miles and its like 3 $ per mile after that. I need to get unlimited again, break down 5 mins from my house then have them tow it to FL for me. NO MILES TO ODOMETER!!! hahaha
HAHAHA Yea, Ive gone through a few AC fans racing up and down the highway near my house. HAHA. Yea and i always travel with my mechanic, its kinda hard to leave him anywhere, its like were the same person and look exactly the same haha. Yea Im definitally going to bring my little tool set with...
Ive got a 95 Talon AWD with a rebuilt 7 bolt with stock internals with about 14k or so on the motor. It has an EVO III B16g, 550cc injectors, full exhaust, FMIC and a few other small things. It has a very slight tapping sound comming from the head, it doesnt sound major at this time at all...
That just the cable like it says. Youll still need a palm or something to use it.PS. Make sure you use capitol letters where needed and write out your words like "u" make sure you put "you"** I got in trouble for that.:thumb:
WOW!!!! I finally got it figured out. Turns out that my ecu must be from a newer dsm. Instead of using the diagram for the m3a I used the one for the m3b and it works great. The pressure wire was the next pin down from the tach wire. Now I just have one final question. The knock setting...
Ok, I hooked up the Pink and Orange wires from the ECU and it is still running like crap. I swithced them and the same thing happened. For the ground, I have the black and brown twisted together then spliced them in as one. Would that effect the AFC this much and make it run bad? Also I dont...
Dont disconnect the hood pin switch. Try and fix it, because when you have the alarm armed and the hood opens it will open the switch and make the alarm go off. If you disconnect that then when the alram is armed someone can just open your hood and the alarm wont even go off. If you MUST...
Ok new idea, instead of me wasting all this time with the Pin outs where under the hood can I hook the white and yellow AFC wires?I would assume it is on the mas air flow sensor but which wire do i cut to ties these two in? And for the Blue 02 wire on the afc which wire do I splice into on my...
The afc is new. I just set it to 4 cylinder with the arrow point up and to the right. I still dont understand why the stock boost gauge would stop working when I cut the wire in Pin 90 to hook up the white and the yellow from the AFC. When I had an AFC in my neon as soon as I changed the...
I used that and it stopped my stock boost gauge from working and when i tried to adjust the pressure setting and flap and hi and low thrust it didnt even make the rpm change a tiny bit...stayed at 600ish and ran very rich.
Hot wire that thing!!!! Pop the plastic piece off from under the steering wheel. Find the postive feed wire to the ignition, run 12 volts to it, and then run 12v to the strater wire (just until it starts). Sh!t will fire right up!! :thumb: :D :D
Ok so heres the deal, I hooked up my SAFC I was sure everything was correct. I get RPM readings, TP readings, the whole nine yards. Now my problem is when I change the pressure and/or flap settings or the low-thrust or high thrust nothing happens to the car when it is running. It is running very...
Ive searched through EVERYTHING I must have been doing something wrong, because I couldnt find anything on how to install a safc. Can someone give me a print out of the colors for the wires in the ecu I need to tap into? I already have the decription for the afc I just need to kno where to tie...
You probably have an aftermarket alarm in your vechicle. The factory eclipse/talon alarms in the 2gs all did not have a pin hood trigger switch. It is just something that you install when you put in a new aftermarket alarm. IE: Viper or Clifford.
Ok so i picked up at 17" giovani rim with a pretty beefy tire on it. I compared it overall with the size of my other rims and its only a difference in height by about 1/4 of an inch or less. The car doesnt pull to one side or anything. It drives just as it did before. Would it be a bad idea to...
As long has it is blead correctly and enough that should be all. Check your pedel and make sure there is a tiny bit of play before it catches at the bottom of the throw. You dont want to be burning up your clutch when you have it all the way pushed it:thumb:
I was driving down the high way last night and hit a huge pot hole. It bent my rim and now it wont hold air... If I go to the junkyard today what rims can I look for off of cars that will bolt up to my 2g? I dont really care what it looks like I just need something to use.PS. I tried to...
First off I would change all your fluids and check for any metal shavings in your motor oil/trans fluid and check for any oil in your anit-freeze. Then I would perform a compression test. That is normally what I do when ever I:talon: purchase a new car.
The best way that you could trouble shoot it is to locate your alarm ecu box ( usually zip tied under your steering column) if it an aftermarket alarm. Then locate your shock sensor on the unit. Unplug it and see if the alarm still goes off randomly. Then if it still goes off plug that back in...
Yes, if you get a new down pipe that will make it not smoke from the engine bay, it will just smoke out the muffler. Check your anitfreeze over flow and see if there is any oil in it. And also check your anit freeze to make sure it is full. You may be burning some coolant or have a blown head...
I am about to buy this FPR and was wondering if it is a direct bolt on or do i need to buy other parts to make it work? Thanks for the help.
