My 93 TSi FWD has no sunroof, has cloth seats, manual windows and locks, rear wiper, (had) air conditioning. Not that there are many 1Gs around where I live, but I don't think any of them I have seen have had sunroofs, whether they have been Talons or Lasers, only ever seen one 1G Eclipse up here :E
Not in Quebec :rocks:Although there are some rumours floating around that the provincial government wants to institute car registration similar to Ontario with safety and emissions testing, there are no inspections required for privately owned cars in Quebec, except under certain...
Why not get both lol. I'm interested in MW3 to see how the plot turns out, although the game is certainly fun, I'm not about to disagree that you are really just playing the same, linear game over and over again with a different title. I don't know what to think of this Activision/Infinity Ward...
Yeah it sounds like it could be excessive shaft play in the turbo, causing the compressor blades to contact the housing. Does it make this sound all the time over 3000rpm, or only when boosting?Pop the intake hose off the turbo and check for shaft play, a bit of side to side is ok, but in...
Turn 18. Take 300 dollars. Go to Canada. Spend 300 dollars getting similarly aged chicks drunk. Get laid by 5-10 chicks. ?. Profit.Best birthday ever!!
Black with a white roof would probably look pretty heinous... but if the overall car is done well enough to pull it off, you never know... maybe someone with PS skills could have a go at it
Went down to Boston to catch two Red Sox vs. Devil Rays games, and the Pats vs. Chargers game. Freaking awesome, both of them. Both Fenway and Gillette are awe inspiring in their own ways, well worth the trip and the 250$ ticket my buddy got when we were driving home ROFLROFLROFL Whats up with...
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-turbo-system-intercooler/209898-build-boost-leak-tester-your-to4e.htmlHere is a good link on how to build a boost leak tester. There is also a great link off of the vfaqIC Pipe TesterDoesn't seem like a situation where your wastegate would be stuck...
Cool video, some good shots in there. If you can ever get out to some twisty mountain roads or an autocross/road course, that would be even sweeter. I have an irrational hatred of Chromeo however, don't even know why, just can't stand their music.
If you are sure there are no boost leaks, then sounds like the wastegate is stuck open, or that you have a pre-turbine exhaust leak. You can hook a pressure source right up to the nipple on the wastegate to see what pressure it opens at.
Definitely sounds like a coupler popped off. Follow the piping from the compressor outlet elbow underneath the MAF/filter assembly and then to the front of the passenger side wheel well, you will probably want to jack the car up and remove the wheel and splash guards to get a good look at...
Yeah you definitely don't want to have anything tee'd off of the BOV line, let alone the boost controller. Try to run a single line to the BOV from the underside of the intake manifold (where it appears that line originates from), and try to find somewhere as close as possible to the compressor...
That looks fine, almost like new even. I completely replaced my front mount at the beginning of the summer, it was torn up to the point that the metal piece that the bolt passes through was basically sitting on the circular part of the mount, there was barely any rubber left at all.. Like yours...
Before I got my Talon I was really looking into E30s, loved the straight-six engine to go with rear wheel drive (even all wheel drive if you are lucky to find an IX) and practicality and comfort to boot. I still look into them every once in a while if I'm bored. I was eventually put off by the...
Careful how much you tighten those valve cover bolts, the valve cover is pretty fragile so too much and you will crack it, and then no amount of tightening will stop the leaking :PIt might help for diagnosis if you could get a video up with a recording of the sound. Does it get louder or go...
8th grade math class, so I was 13. I remember that my mom was on a flight to Hawaii that day, so I was freaked out until I heard from her, I think her flight was diverted to land in LA.
I believe that the original Gran Turismo for PS1 had a 1G in it, I can't say for sure as I've never played that one, but that is what people have told me. Gran Turismo 4 and 5 have been OK as far as 4G63 and potential DSM stuff goes. They have Evo I through IX with the 4G63, and the Galant VR4...
I rent my neighbour's garage and park the Talon in there over the summer. Over the winter, the Talon goes in my other neighbour's garage, and my winter Focus goes in the first neighbour's garage, after spending the summer tanning while parking on the street. Neither car parks outside in the...
Used to play a ton of cs1.6, mostly on custom/fun maps though. Got sick of it when people I would play with started joining teams and clans and playing in leagues... it's a computer game, supposed to be fun. I would always laugh when someone gets killed and they flip out and have a tantrum and...
Yeah, definitely not an M3, the whole body on the E30 M3 was completely different to the other 3-series models. Given that in the picture it has only one exhaust tip, it is most like a 318i/is, because the 325i/is/e all had dual exhaust tips as stock. Could be wrong though obviously, wouldn't...
Sounds like there could be a few problems, but as far as the acceleration problem it seems like a boost leak test would be a good place to start.IC Pipe Tester
My best friend has a Cobalt SS/SC with the GM stage 2 kit on it, the car pulls like a raped ape. Even when it was stock, the supercharged cars are way faster then most people gave it credit for. All things considered, the interior on the cars isn't even too bad, I think most of the bad rap it...
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-miscellaneous/217951-how-diagnose-no-start.htmlHere is a good thread to start checking, try to run through as many of the items as you can. From my experience, I had a no-start issue caused by a problem with the Coolant Temperature Sensor, it would...
Stock boost gauge or an aftermarket one? If it is the stock gauge built into the dash alongside the tach, don't believe anything it tells you, and get a real boost gauge, ie by autometer or such.
Boost leak test would be a good place to start. Even before that, take a quick look around the engine bay for anything obvious, could be that a coupler blew off on the intercooler piping you installed.
I liked it, it was cool how it didn't take itself too seriously, lots of funny and awkward jokes stemming from the previous movies. Lots of sweet cars too, the KPCG10 Skyline GT-R that Paul Walker had was amazing, shame it didn't get more screen time. Also it was funny that the entire scene in...
I wear 12s so I had to get a slightly larger board when I bought mine. Just learned to board this year, it is so awesome when you graduate from sticking to smaller ski hills and finally have the skill to be able to enjoy big hills without crashing every 30 seconds :thumb:
I have tickets to the Canadian Grand Prix this year, and I am really looking forward to it, the last GP I was able to catch here was at least 5 years ago.I like that there is a good bit of competition at the front of the field this year, it seems like Red Bull Racing and McLaren are by far the...
Consoles have auto-aim LOL. Never been a big fan of Black Ops myself, nor any of the other games in the series not made by IW for that matter, but the zombie modes in World at War and Black Ops are tons of fun. Anyone who plays FPS on a console is doing it wrong IMO though. (I used to play a ton...
Unfortunately it seems like there isn't a whole lot of choice available for 1G FWDs, compared to what is available for 1G AWDs and all 2Gs. A lot of people seem to be happy with the Thermal R&D catback, which is available for 1G FWDs, and it looks like a really nice piece. It is a bit expensive...
I finally have an opportunity this summer to swap in the 2G exhaust manifold that I've had lying around for quite a while, problem was that there was the front heat shield bolt sheared off in the hole by the previous owner. In trying to get it out last week, I ended up shearing my easy-out in...
