what are you average shift points in your eclipse? mines are around 4000RPMS

well found out what it was unfortunatly...timing belt ripped off... bought the car in may and now this happens.hopefully warranty covered the damage because me putting so much repairs in this car. i think this will be my last eclipse till i buy it brand new. eclipses need alot of repairs

the engine failed then the battery failed, and i dont know if it was the belt cause i didnt check but i dont think it was because it failed uphill without a snap. just when from a high pitch to low like a small whistle, thats how it died

so i can drive 100 or even 80 MPH on 50 miles a day and it wont matter for conventional castrol GTX.someone told me ill get wear in the engine and will damage like metal in the motor, loss of compression, less HP and torque and gas mileage

is it true you cant drive long times on the high way or rev high RPMS or drive 90 mph on 5w-30 motor oil or else damage will happen in your engine

i got the apc to work but a part of a pipe is close to coming off the TB... duct tape?

ok... i need something secure and works. i need a metal short ram air intake hose that actully fits. the one i bought barely fits and will only work with duct tape. any good recommendations

no it didnt fall off, the rubber hose keeps kicking off the rubber on the K&N so i cant get it to work right unless i get a metal one. the metal one that i got was an APC one and i didnt fit. im looking to see if i need a metal one and if i do, where should i look for one so this can fit.

ok so i have a new problem... i went to advance and bought an air hose from APC but it doesnt fit right because the battery is on the way. has anyone had luck with stainless steel airhoses less then 150 dollars, looking for short ram on non turbo eclipse

today my air filter fell off, and i know its been the entire day and probably last night. driven over 150 miles today and its possible it fell off in anytime at that period. my question is do you believe there might be damage to the engine?

well luckily i bought the car with a warranty and the thermostat is under it so ill have them do it sometime soon since i need belts and tires now
