Save some cash and buy the cheaper intake from ebay. It's the same thing. If you have the stock IC piping, you will need to buy (or have an exhaust shop make) a new upper IC pipe with a 1g BOV adapter. With a K&N filter

VC= Valve cover. If its stock, there should be a sidemount ic located behind the front bumper in the passenger fender well. I would the remove bumper to get easier access to the bolts holding it in place (Easier IMO). There are two sets of piping connecting it to the engine (One to intake...
Check dipstick for oil/water mixture, air filter, take a look under the vc and check ic pipes & engine harness connectors for moisture/wetness. I would even change the oil & plugs. Yes if the engine hydro-locked it wouldn't be going any where lol. GL
A supporting vendor like JNZ Tuning, STM or etc.But you will need a machine shop drill and tap for the oil jets aka squirters. Why not go buy engine hoist/cherry picker from HF for $100, its a must if you own a DSM ROFL
You need a new oil feed line and a j-pipe if the godspeed fmic didn't come with one. You can slot the bolt holes on the return line so you can re-use it and bend the coolant lines to make them work.
It's all in the tune. But I would recommend another turbo if you're trying to break the 400whp+ mark. If you don't mind coming a little short go with evo 16g. But it's doable. GL
Are you sure its a 1g 7 bolt and not a 2ga 7 bolt (95-96)? Pop off the cam gear cover and see if the CAS is bolted to the cam gear because 1st pic shows the black plug which is found on 2ga's 7 bolts. 3rd pic that looks like the Cam Sensor plug on a 95-96. But yes you have to wire it in.
Stop over thinking it, you're driving me crazy ROFL.Quick breakdown the 1g CAS combines the CamAngleSensor & CrankPositionSensor (95-99 use both, CAS on the intake cam (2ga located bolted to cam gear & 2gb located side of VC) and CPS (down on the front case). If you want to keep your 97+...
Read: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-engine-fuel/366890-4g63t-pcv-system.htmlIn short: Catch cans help with excessive crankcase pressures (ex. blowing out dipsticks & etc.) and "removes" the nasty oil/crap your engine produces. As for Vented CCs, they just leave a light coat of...
Why was the HG replaced? If the car overheated before, the head surface could be warped causing a bad seal between cylinders or etc.Try 60/40 & look into a Stant thermostat (Part # 14077) at AdvanceAutoThese could contribute to the problem since many off/ebay brand fans don't push as...
x2I recommend checking the cfm rating on those ebay fans, they most likely wont push/pull as much as stock fans (let alone one) and cause overheating problems. Do you still have your a/c? If you don't ditch the a/c fan & buy a good pusher fan (ex. SPAL). I've ran just one stock fan with my...
Check for oil/coolant leaks. Perform a leak down test. & report back. As for the heat issue: No coolant=no heat simple as that.Check your carpet for dampness & maybe the heater core started leaking (thus explaining your coolant loss)??
Check under the DASH tab on Link to see if the CEL comes on when it sees knock or etc. If the oil & coolant look good you should be good. Have you tried running it again to see if it overheats?Check under the DASH tab on Link to see if the CEL comes on when it sees knock or etc. If the oil &...
Lowering springs: lower your car X amount of inches.
Coilovers: adjustable height (Rise & lower to your liking). The real question is: What's your budget or how much are you willing to spend?
The 2g has an alternator (alt) with 4 wires instead of the 1g's 2 wires. One of the extra wires (green wire - "FR signal") is an internal alt load sense line signal to the ECU which controls idle speed (IAC) when extra electrical loads are present on the alt. The other (white wire - "G signal")...
Don't go hacking up your harness. Get one from the junkyard or buy one from the parts store & use your current one as a core.So does it start or no??RICER!!!! jk :p
If your Greddy bov has two nipples, connect the top one to a vacuum source (via Intake Manifold) & leave the one pointing downwards alone. And your recirculation hose connects to your intake pipe.
Anymore misfires? Hopefully none, but buy a wideband to help you tune when money becomes "loose" LOL& mess with your tune to richen your idle; you're running a bit lean (16ish). Even though Link provides an estimated a/f ratio (better than nothing) try and aim for 14.5ish. GL :thumb:
Driver's side looks to be in better shape than the passenger's side (rust around where the upper control arm bolts up is a little scary). But for $500 i'll do it & later down the road just find a cheap, rust-free AWD shell. ;)
You can download the v3 software to your laptop and use it with the v2 software on your ECU. I'm still on v2 but have v3 software on my Macbook.Link to download:

I would replace your plugs with some some Ngk BPR6ES.Check out this link about the CAS & wiring firing order.
swapplugwires [ECMTuning - wiki]My mistake, it reads Copy all to ECU or Copy to ECU
Maybe you forgot to hit save to ecu :p Loose battery cables? Double check you battery connections??But as for the p300 code, misfires are usually caused by plugs/wires or injectors. So I would pull out the plugs and check them out first.Make a log with the car running. Is global + or - 19...
