Man I love Virginia, when I had my DSM I had good luck with exhaust and being lowered. Never got pulled over at all because of it, and I had to drive right by the Henrico Co. jail/courthouse everyday for school. The BAC of 0.05 does seem kind of ridiculous though, I mean it seems like you...
Well I am looking for the little white sideskirt clips that attach the skirt to the body of the car? Would you dealer have these...or could you just go up to Autozone or something and purchase them there? Thanks.
Yawn, just another typical DSM owner's arrogant attitude. Puhlease, driving on the highway takes no skill whatsoever, nor does it show the true capabilities of what the ITR was made for (oh wait there is more to a car than how fast it goes on the highway/dragstrip???). Go take it to the twisties...
There paint seems really brittle, I got mine painted with the middle one (out of 5) and I have a lot of random scratches in it from frail paint. It is a decent deal though if you don't have a lot of money...Also they are really stingy with their warranty issues, they COMPLETELY forgot to...
So basically this is what I am getting from this thread. Just because Roy owns a very fast DSM we (all us inferior tooners) should worship him like he is a God??? I don't know about you guys, but just because he has a nice car, does not mean I'm going to kiss his feet and agree with WHATEVER he...
I live in Glen Allen (right about Richmond). I have never seen any local DSMer's around this area, so I mostly hang out with the local Honda-Tech guys.
You are 16, you need to be spending your money on other things besides having a quick car. Just save up your money for random high school stuff, and get a fast car later in life (after college/army)...I would do exactly that if I could do it again.
Those are some really nice times, I'd go for the tires if I was you...they will make the biggest improvement. Next time you go strip out ALL the weight in the back of your car, and lower your front tire pressure to like 22-24 psi, and you should be able to pull off some better 60's.
You are the idiot...I hope you realize even though the "allmotor" is instant power, Hondas don't make torque down low so they don't have half the time us turbo FWDers have to get traction off of the line...
I highly recommend Tokico as well...they also have great customer service. When I bought my used shocks they didn't have the adjusting screw caps at the top, so I called them and they sent me 4 brand new ones free of charge...
I could tell you were from WVA by just reading how you type. Learn some ####ing grammar, I promise you, you will get your point across better, and won't sound like some ignorant, uneducated schmuck.
Very good post, now if only I knew what half of the stuff you said meant ;)Where can you buy these GC mounting plates? I may have to look into getting some.
What is the exact definition of free play? The amount of play in the clutch before it starts to grabs? and also how can you be exactly sure of your freeplay?
Let me guess you aren't white? The reason all white girls mostly look the same to you is because of Cross-Racial Identification Problem. It's the same reason that most black and asian women look all the same to me.Asian women are very nice, but most of the ones I have seen have been like...
Without a police report he could just deny it ever happened and you wouldn't have any real proof that he did it. Don't you have one of those insurance cards in your car, and on the back it says the first thing to do is CALL THE POLICE!
The Matrix was only a terrible movie to those that didn't understand it. I'm guessing you wanted to see the typical Hollywood style teeny bopper happy ending and Neo killing all the machines. The movie was pure genius, it explained everything.A vs. P looks to be a sweet movie, I'll...
Yeah, 3-pts are cool, but no one makes them for our cars because the general census is that all DSMers like to do is go straight.Maybe its time for someone to go be a guinea pig and go to Home Depot racing to make one.
Has anyone ever thought about making a C-pillar mount before? Like if you take out your back seats and seat belts there is a hole in the C-pillar where the seat belt mounted, and so I'm sure it would be quite a fun project to try and make one to connect those 2 points.
Any more info on this topic? I want to get rid of it the right way...also MNGSX do you have any pics of how to do the things you described...I am totally lost about what is what, and where to make a loop.
I don't see how upgrading to stiffer springs and stiffer shocks could be worse than stock suspension   :confused:I'd say go w/ some H&R springs coupled w/ Tokico 5-ways. You're not going to want the softness of the Eibach's if you plan on doing autox.
Damn, I feel like I don't work at all (well I really don't), but I work like 18 hour weeks maximum. I really don't need the money for anything except the occasional taking the girlfriend out and then buying new clothes or shoes. I guess I stand by the saying...Work to live, don't live to...
On my Tokico springs the driver's side is about a half a finger(2 fingers) lower than the pass. front(2.5 fingers), and the rear is like 3.5 fingers. Just get a whole bunch of fat people to jump on the car on the side that is higher and maybe that will help compress it a little bit :pOther...
Jealousy rears its ugly head again...I hate when people come up with that excuse just because when they were 16 they got a crappy car and now feel jealous because some one is going to get a DSM for their first car. Not trying to brag, but as long as you don't drive like an idiot, and speed like...
I got the Ebay special for $25 shipped (rear)...it looks nice and does it job, and I too have heard about the compression vs. tension myth, but no one has ever given me any concrete proof to make me change the way I have mine now...
And the Bomex kit is SOOOOOOOOOOOO original :rolleyes:The 97-99 style is just much more better looking and aggressive. If you want something unique why don't u do a backwards conversion and go to the 95-96 smilie bumper style. Just face it, there is nothing ORIGINAL these days.BTW...
