MDF board should be strong enough. Use cardboard to make a pattern and then cut the shape out of MDF. (and it is cheap, $20 for a big ass sheet at home depot). It shouldn't matter what it looks like either because if you then cover everything in carpet or vinyl, it will hide any imperfections...

i did it to mine. DO IT!!its a direct bolt up and there are no difference in any 2G Talon headlights so you will have no problems there. it looks great, even without side skirts. check my gallery for more pics if you want.

i did mine before with the stained glass paint, should have used the testors though cuz i like the color better. i didnt sand at all. oh, and make sure you use clear! after driving with the redded out for a year, i went back to the amber and i think it looks good again.

the centerpice for the taillights. its taller and dips down in the center so i think maybe the mounting points would be different than the eclipse one. you may need to drill some holes in the back end to fit the bolts through. woudnt be that hard.
