It's a bit too complicate that way... What if I simply use it as a canister?
I can remove all the unnecessary ports plugging them out (welding of course)...
But, it is better to get coolant from the bottom or the top (like OEM does) of that "canister"? Using IE top "pressure...

you need a dial indicator to catch the valve movement, and a timing wheel to read the angles...Take a look to this writeup! :thumb:

Just to know, did you measured the actual valve timings & overlap? (assumed at 0 mark on both cam gears)Evo8 overhaul manual says:
- intake opens 21*BTDC
- exhaust closes 18*ATDCright?

New dowel pin holes, same positions as stock cams.Timing now is even more practical!:p
I was reading your build post, but I can't understand if you have used your N/A block or you got a turbo block for the swap... If it is a 7bolt there are no oil jets on the bottom of the cylinder...probably causing what's happened..
I own a 2g GS (4g63 NA) EURO SPEC, when I swapped to turbo the Gst/x cluster worked well!
The speedo works on "#rpm per mile" (or km in my case) so rpm is the base counting unit.
Oil gauge, Water temp gauge, fuel gauge, and all the service lights share same pinouts, only the flexi pcb are...

Alternator is wired to the the fusebox, so why do you need to wire it directly to the battery? :confused:I currently have 14.4v at the battery when the car is running, just for my opinion it is an overkill to rewire it directly :p
