I appreciate it folks. I have NOT finalized the rear 1G set up for a 15 inch wheel. I am close but trying to optimize the dimensions for off the shelf and the "cheapest" solution without going to something exotic. There is always slight shaving ( the corners of the wilwood calipers ) depending...
there isn't any "drawing" of air through the tube. It is just A larger path than what is already there in factory form. At least in my experience.the catch can is more safety in my case - because going into the wall is not an option for me or anyone else for that matter .cheers
In an ideal world no fluid should come out. In my case when the fluid came out once- I think it was a situation of overfilling ( even though the mark was on the dipstick)A standard size catch can should suffice.
Thank you for the interest -
The stock dipstick tube itself is vented . If you look at the top of your tube in a 1g for example you will see a tiny hole there . When your trans is operational the fluid will aerate as the gears and components in there turn. The factory set up allows for this...
Hello folks, just wanted to share a project that I am working on with a few of them out in the wild. They are my vented automatic trans dipsticks for the 2G Trans.I was tired of the plastic dipsticks and my 1g dipstick looking ragged, Having a love for billet - this was the end result ...
Thanks. I didn't go to the strut towers for a couple of reasons. I had a splitting issue at the strut tower itself, as these are modified to accept the 1g awd suspension without using spacers or welding eyelets to the struts. I ended up placing these down bars directly to the "frame rail...
awesome wow 20 seconds post flow, I have mine on the max dial which is 8 , then I double tap the pedal to get an additional cycle .thanks for the info.
Good stuff, Just to share to your thread, I recently was able to get into the 1.4s, With a best of a 1.40, I wonder if using your method, along with launch control, could benefit my set up to attain 1.3x 60's ?thoughts ? If you get a few minutes, please take a look at my incar videos, to see...
Damn mike sorry to hear that. I know your feeling all too well, which is one of the major reasons why I stopped with my evo and pursued my other vehicles.. over 4 years, chasing oiling issues, broken engines, exploded transmissions and stripped ring gears. Take a break, I have no doubt that you...

Thanks Scott !! :)This is not the Real st performance colt. That one had a turbo hanging out of the grill from what I remember. Well I hope that I can back up the 10.20 pass next year , at that point, I shall continue the quest to get a better ET :)The car weighs approx. 2650 Ibs with me...
What a day at the track.
Being the end of October, I wanted to make one final attempt on getting further into the tens with the car. The expectations were to go out on a sunday doing what I love- Drag racing the colt.
Woke up bright and early at 5:00 am to start prepping tools, fluids and the...

I would recommend against the bolted set ups, but if you were going to remove the side bars, then I would...
Shifting is pretty good, most shifts were in the high 7 thousand rpm area with a few shifts in the low 8,2XX . I preferred the tmz clutch combo to be honest.
Scott,I will let you know next time I am going out. I plan to go to Milan on the weekend of October 3rd to see if I can get this thing into the 10.50s or 10.60s with the bummed engine. I am building a 2.3 for it currently which I hope to have in the car for next season. Yes I think your car...
This past weekend, I went to a bracket race event in Milan. I was finally able to get this car into the 10s which I am pretty happy about, knowing the condition of the engine. The motor is a tired old girl, with one cylinder being pretty bad at 78% leakdown through the rings and another...
Had a failure on my ss TZ/B clutch, but I know it is due to increase torque on my car.At the shootout a few weeks ago, I launched the car to my best 60' Yet (1.58) However just past the 1/8th mile it started to slip. The car is now at 36psi through the 3065 and on slicks, couple this with...
