Transfer case was leaking bad, changed the seals and the yoke and now good to go! The old yoke was scored where the seal would lay, and as far as I can tell the yoke was never changed for the recall(I ran the vin)=leak city! All good now, topped off with Redline 75W90scored these guys from...
I work alot of hours during the week, never get anything done it seems then. Here's a few things I've been doing for the past month or so on my weekends. I'm a random-type of dude so don't be upset if a few things are out of order :DRemoved the cruise control, casing was cracked and it was...
Paint your car to match this, and start spouting off quotes like Dom "I live my life a quarter mile at a time. Nothing else matters: not the mortgage, not the store, not my team and all their bullshit. For those ten seconds or less, I'm free." Instant chick magnet :D
No need to drill if you have a Dremel and a cut-off wheel,or similar tool to use. Grind that down until it's flush and smooth and you can pull it out of the sway bar.
Taken from the VFAQ,almost half-way down the page..."The engine must be dropped down to get the front balance shaft to clear the frame when you pull it from the engine. Place a floor jack under the front crossmember that runs along the front of the car. If possible, strap the jack to the...
Cut both sides of the nut on the end link with a Dremel or similar tool, then take a chisel and pop the nut the rest of the way off if it doesn't fall off first. Quick and easy:D Like has already been mentioned,PB blaster is your friend, and don't forget anti-seize when you're putting the...
Subscribed. I've been toying around with the idea of building a junkyard G4CS and putting it in my '63 swapped Colt haha. Don't know how safe that little tin can would be but it sure would be hella fun:D
Use a light layer of silicone to keep the gasket on the water pump during install,at least the night before so it can dry. I did not put any on the side that rests against the block,no leaks on mine. You can use it or not, just don't glob it on there. And make sure you get the old gasket off...
Early 2000's new episodes of 'Wren and Stimpy' were made,on Spike TV. Around the time 'Stripperella' was on if anyone remembers that animation.
Glad to see 'Beaver and Butthole' back on the air, can't wait!!!
If a gas tank doesn't have a drain plug,go to Harbor Freight and buy a simple siphon pump. Cheap and easy,it may only work once(gas may eat out the seals)but well worth as they are inexpensive.
I'm not entirely sure either but check out 4G61t.org tons of info on the 4g15,and you can see what a few members have done with their awd swaps. Everything got switched to a new server and I can't log in right now but I was on an hour ago lol great site, lots of info and good people!
It's always a gamble, look at how many threads are on this site and that should give you a clue. Sometimes you get a good one, often times they don't last. I would rather spend $300 dollars on a rebuilt MHI turbo(I did) than $300 on a turbo that may grenade sooner than later. PM jusmx141,a...
the OP took off the oil pan to re-tap the threads that were stripped out for the oil return...then he mentions 6 bolt swap...sounds like he has a turbo to me,even if he didn't update his profile to reflect that:)
Strange. My bolt wasn't exactly rubbing the belt all the time but after start-up you could see it 'slapping' it. Wish I would have taken pictures of it. And,at first I didn't think any bolts were touching it either, but the closest to the crank sprocket was the culprit,if I remember right.

It's caused by the wrong bolt in the oil pan,the one that comes thru and near the oil pump sprocket. Someone put the a long one in,instead of a short one. Same thing happened to me,thanks to the PO. Take off the timing cover and you can see it almost touch the belt. Either replace it with a...
Wow I would love to see more! I worked with a guy that had a '97 RS that when he last rebuilt the transmission he couldn't get the nut back on one side of the axle, stripped out the threads...so he just put the wheel on and drove it like that for months until he traded it in!
I would love to be able to convert mine to AWD. I don't have the fab skills or know of anyone that does. But,I enjoy mine as it is :hellyeah: Good luck on finding an AWD,they do pop up for sale now and again.
You can use the KM210 transmission that came with the 4g61. It will bolt up to the 4g63. Check out Mirage Turbo/Colt GT • Index page I believe with all DSM transmission you have to change the shift arm,as shown here Mirage Turbo/Colt GT • View topic - How to swap shift levers on a 1g...
If your car originally had a '91 ecu that means that two wires in the ecu harness have been switched, and need switched back so that the '90 ecu works properly. I'm looking through the forums but I can't find which ones to change.Edit:Duh,here it is...
It's a little nipple-like plug end on the ps pump, might not be easily seen, feel around there and you'll find it. I had to pinch mine a bit with pliers and then press it on.

Need a 1g awd fuel pump assembly asap! Cracked the hard line on mine and need it running by tomorrow night. Canton area please,I probably won't be able to come get it so I will pay for gas!
1g fuel pressure regulators are different from the auto to 5-speed. I had to change mine out when I added 450 injectors and manual ecu. Different flow rates. As far as the 2g is concerned, just the auto and 5-speed are the differences as has already been stated.
Yesterday I pumped gas at my local Sunoco, went to take off and the car wouldn't crank over. Thinking it was just the fuse to my fuel pump rewire,I popped the hood and changed it. Nothing, and the old fuse wasn't blown. F@#k. Clean both terminals, nothing. Check where the rewire relay is to see if...
