Anyone else have experience on a dynomite dyno? Air temp was 95*.319whp and 297tq on dynomite. Similar conditions did 347whp and 327tq on a dynojet.Bone stock 131k block. Evo 3 16g. Built head with 272s.
Yes. Make sure its pushed up far enough into the plugPull the rear plastic piece that has the speaker cover on the drivers side. The keyless entry relay is there if you have it. It's possible you are in program mode but something else may be wrong preventing it from locking/unlocking.
Just to acc and back. Not fast. Make sure paper clip is not coated. The row closest to the driver starting at the first pin near the console. Stick it in the small holes
Just did mine yesterday. Open door, insert key but don't turn it. Paper clip in pin 1 and 4, you have 10 seconds to get in and close the door. Turn key to acc and immediately back off. Doors should lock and unlock. Then press lock button on remote and done.
Thanks sir. Yes dynojet around 4000ft elevation. I was hoping to be on the other side of 350, but I'll take it. The 272's really help with wheel spin. I probably just add a fp manifold and cat delete and call it a day.
Just thought I'd share. After owning my gst since 02, I decided to get a dyno tune with the 99 blackbox. Previously, I had a 95 eprom with keydiver chip tune.Mods:

I've got 4 washers on pass side and 8 on drivers rear. They didn't try the rear eccentric. They said they are not a wheel off alignment shop so they wouldn't touch it.
Didn't want to start a new thread, so I checked the proper cam timing marks and they appear to be off but the pins look to be in the correct position. Thoughts? See pic
Oh. Thanks I just realized that mark was on the tooth and not the groove. I will check that out. Meanwhile I will get a leak down test done and see if it's the hg. If so, time for some arps and cams! Thanks
I did remove the cap and start it up. No coolant came out, just some small bubbles as it flowed through. I don't think those timing marks will ever line up. Look closer at the marks, they are in the same position on each gear.
Alright. Drove the car today. Did 2 more compression tests as soon as I parked it. Averaged 178 155 160 178. Concerned about cylinders 2 and 3. Seems like symptoms of a hg? Also heard a gurgling sound behind the j pipe near where the head and block mate after the car was shut off.One more...
Update: I burped the system, drove about 10 miles and parked it. Coolant still bubbling in the resevoir and overflowed. Today I did a compression check. Let the car idle til it was warm. Then performed the test. 165, 140, 145, 150. That's 1 through 4. I just did a compression test back in April...
I only filled the resevoir barely halfway. When it overflows the coolant is at the very top of the resevoir and doesn't get sucked back in even after sitting for long periods.
The weird part is that it doesn't always overflow, but when it does the coolant is really bubbling in the resevoir. The resevoir is always completely full even if the car has been sitting for weeks.
I ordered a new fiav gasket, but it seemed to big for the s75. I think I'm going to disassemble it again and check this gasket. I don't see any coolant leaks in this area, but air could still get in? I don't recall having this issue until after I installed this tb. Any other suggestions?
Recently changed throttle body to a s75. I did not block off the fiav. The problem is that I'm having coolant overflowing from the resevoir only after the engine shuts off. I'm not noticing any oil in the coolant or vice versa. Changed the tstat and cap. Car does not overheat and seems to run...
Yeah I recently had same problem. Mine would only charge during rpms above 3k. Then it stopped charging completely. Would hover around 12.2 to 11.9 volts. Replaced it and now I charge at 14.2 at idle.
Thread is old, I know. But in case someone searches in the future, the noise is most likely the door catch. It's the black piece that allows the door to open in two positions. Those are notorious for that. They normally clunk about halfway every time the door opens or closes.
So I put a new battery in today. Car starts right up and idles perfectly at 1k rpms and voltage hovers between 13.5 and 13.8. I switch the car off and let sit and then fire it back up. Now idle is fluctuating and volts around 12.2. Would a bad alternator charge fine one moment and not the next...
New battery installed in February 2016. Car has basically sat in garage. Every week I would start the car and let run for 10-15 mins. Finally this past Friday I get the car out and drive it some. On my hks turbo timer I noticed voltage ranging from 11.2 volts and 13.6 volts. Thought nothing of...
Thanks so much! Yeah there is no ball in the nipple that's missing. I can't believe the car runs as stout as it does with all the boost leaks it has.One more question. The magnus im has a 65mm tb opening. Will a 70mm s90 tb fit or will I have to open up the magnus more?
Long story short. Bought my old gst back and was performing a blt. The previous owner installed a magnus smim and there were leaks everywhere. I also have shaft seal leaks and will replace with 74mm s90.They only have 3 bungs on the im. Bov, pcv, and fpr. Is this correct? Only 2 of the 3 small...
Thanks for the info. I want to go with ecmlink, but cannot get enough signals "ready" to pass the obd2 emissions test. Too bad they didn't include the 99's on the exempt list.
I currently run a stage 3 keydiver chipped ecu, but have added a magnus smim and ets fmic. My question is would it be better to run ecmlink or use my original 99 ecu and run flash software to further tune my car? Is the ecu I got from keydiver already socketed?I'm leaning toward reinstalling...
Just want to share the background story of my 99 gst. It is very interesting and all most unbelievable. Here's the timeline:July 2002- bought used with 40k miles from Mitsubishi dealership.June 2003 - my wife and I got married and car was the "decorated" car.2003-2006 - car became a...
Deleting cruise control, but I have a magnus im, which positions the tb in a slightly different location. My question is, will the non cruise control cable still fit?
Thanks to every one for the help. I will just weld in a 3 inch MagnaFlow cat and install stock injectors and computer. Would a flashed 99 ecu for the 650 injectors pass?
Just moved to another county in NC. Going to weld a 3" MagnaFlow cat in, but I'm more concerned about the signals from the computer. Wish dsmchips.com were still in business and I would just order a 99 ecu flashed from him.
Keydiver sent me a ecu with Eprom and a stage 3 chip. So when they scan for emissions, it says signals not ready. Drive test doesn't work. So I assume reinstalling the original ecu would work but would be bad with the 650 injectors
No cat. No cel even when the 99 ecu was in. Do not have the 450 injectors.Thought about going the flash route on the 99 ecu, but I know nothing about tuning.
