    Can't put car in gear...

I didnt think it was that gnarly! haha, nah I know whatcha mean. Its a part i'll save too for bad memories. I had to replace the TOB also of course which is fine considering they are cheap. But synchros and clutch were fine! And this thing honestly must have been slowly on its way out for a...

    What exhaust do I have?

Did you trip on your way into your car because you said "oh crap!" hahaI have an Apexi N1 and mine looks and sits a bit different. I does look like its just a knock-off Apexi N1 design muffler, doesnt mean its a bad exhaust though. It could sound worse, would be nicer to know what it sounded...

T-25 FMIC fitment Q's and Options.

I certainly do not think you will be SOL, just get some additional silicone hosing on stand by. However, ask around, FMIC on the T-25 is not exactly something that most people recommend, I mean unless you're planning on getting that EvoIII 16 within a few months or so. You'll end up losing boost...

    Can't put car in gear...

Hey guys, I know a few other people are battling the same problem I had so, as promised, here is the picture of my broken Clutch Release Fork. Because one whole side of it broke off (obviously its true they do not bend, they just break) the fork actually turned sideways somewhat every time the...

RESOLVED:In case anyone else was having this same issue, I know a few of the people that commented/posted said that they has a similar problem, I just found the issue.Clutch Release Forks CAN bend before they break, and the clutch fork in my tranny had a bent arm. Which means it was...

So Do you think the world will end in 2012?

I personally do not believe anything is going to happen lol.But one thing is for sure, there are a lot of people out there who do think something is going to happen so I for one WILL BE HAVING AN ORGY for all the girls who think they are doomed and always wanted a 100-some. :sneaky:

    Clutch pedal popped, driveability changed

Ah well if its shuddering when youre coming off the clutch pedal, then its def something inside your tranny, or a spring or the entire clutch itself. Mine is more like the opposite, engages fine when I come off the pedal, but it grinds going in occasionally.

    Can't put car in gear...

thing is, I dont want to. I dont get a lot of free time anymore, and if it requires me losing my car for a few days to take off the bell housing and work on something im not all familiar with, i'll just lose time and money :rolleyes:If Anyone else can confirm if I need to shim my clutch fork...

    Clutch pedal popped, driveability changed

You said you can get your car into gear but you feel is shudder is that right? (clutch not fully disengaging - imo)Does it ever grind going into first gear? I've had a similar problem lately, im determined its the clutch fork. Check your clutch fork position next to the slave, it should be...

1st gear wont go in keeps grinding ### help

    Can't put car in gear...

UPDATE ON THIS:I think I spoke too soon. The clutch was engaging fine and not pumping up at all. But occasionally I started to notice the car sit rough when at a stop and the shifter in 1st gear... THEN I noticed the clutch seemed to be dragging a bit. Sometimes it drags enough to creep me...

Hmm... put a ratchet on it? Thats gonna go over top the bleeder valve. You mean I should just use a ratchet to Loosen it, then while brake fluid is pouring on my face put the tighten it back up enough to remove the socket and put the tube on then go back and use a regular wrench? :sneaky:

2nd project car choices, help me pick!

I agree that the Audi seems like the obvious choice. I feel like I want the 3000GT for a year for fun, and am pretty sure I could resell it at the same price I buy it for, so i guess I wouldnt get to make it a real project. Maybe it would be wiser just to buy a car im going to keep for a while...

2nd project car choices, help me pick!

How to get the most hp out of my stock 2g

Basic bolt-on's mostly. Even if you had the budget for a turbo, you wouldn't want to put one in without freeing up the air flow a little with an exhaust, and pop an intake on. Basically, turbo or not, you're going to follow the same type of upgrades first. Check the tech guide for your car to...

    Auto vs Stick

If this guy is not putting up serious power, and gets FWD Auto would be a good choice. The only reason the manual "feels" faster basically is the extra gear / faster gear ratios. I am not sure if you have check yet, but as far as I know, automatic transmissions cost more to work on and are...

Yes it is a 2G 1998 GST,I am hitting the bleeder valve in my master cylinder obviously because its not pumping up, if i tighten the rod clockwise anymore than it is right now, it will close off the valve and it will slowly pump up over the course of driving, probably 15-20 minutes before i...

Blow off while accelerating?? help ###!

the 2G stock blow off valve is a black plastic piece of crap, if the previous owner put the 1G blow off valve on, it should be metal and I think the top is a goldish color. The reason for my leak is my previous owner had some seriously dry rotted 1-ply couplers on the intercooler pipes...

Blow off while accelerating?? help ###!

Check the obvious for boost leaks on your intercooler/intake piping as well. Which, I know, sounds a bit strange.. if...

    Clutch pedal not coming up

    Can't put car in gear...

I didn't check my shifter cables, but I imagine they are fine considering it shifts like a brand new car when the pedal is softer and just gets harder as the pedal gets stiffer (pumps up).My mechanic DID say he thought my clutch fork looked like it may have been a little bent but I may have...

    Can't put car in gear...

all bolts are tight, bellhousing has no Gaps.I suppose it could just be pedal pump-up. Maybe it is possible that too much pressure builds up to a point where the slave is "frozen" and doesnt move at all when the clutch pedal is pushed down which would cause me to no be able to shift gears...
