Fuel cell is all done! And I have a DMC crimper on the way to finish the harness, then it's just start up and fine tuning.Of course I took a lot of photos and documented the cell build. BIG thnaks to my friend Ken for helping me with this. I could never have welded the baffles in so perfectly...
Started on the fuel cell tonight. We rolled the car next door to my friends shop to get it up in the air since we only have one lift and it's sketchy as hell. I should be able to get the cell pretty much done tomorrow. I'm not sure if I have tube the right size for the filler. Also making a...
Oh sorry I forgot to add that part.
For the fuel system I'm building a fuel cell and will run dual 044s off the sump. I was going to do a surge tank up front but decided not to.
If need be ill add a boost a pump to the system.
I already have an upgraded Saturn alternator which will help...
Alright so I've been building this car on and off for the last few years. I've actually owned this car for about 7 years now and it's seen several different setups, sometimes I'd change my mind and rework the whole thing without ever even running the car. It's a constantly evolving process with...
I need a source for weld-on nuts. Something like this Allstar Performance Weld-On Nuts ALL18550 - Mobile SummitRacing.com it should be round and taller than a normal nut. I need different sizes than just that and in aluminum as well which summit doesn't carry. I can't for the life of me find a...
1 I got my switch over point from the link wiki but I will check this this again.2 I have no front 02 signal because I have no front 02. Only wideband.3 VE table is something I was changing to get airflowperrev close but I can revert back to stock and start fresh.4 DA tables, I...
The drain plug that came with my afco radiator was an interesting design. Not sure if you've ever seen what I'm talking about or not. I'll snap a picture later when I get to my shop.
That is very cool. I really like your take on the upper support. As I've been doing some research to this myself, I've notice everyone has their own take on doing this and they all look great. Good job!
After being ripped off by a reputable member on here about a year ago I have made a point to never buy or sell anything on here anymore. Unfortunately this site really has attracted a lot of bad attention in recent years. Actually since that happened, I hardly even come on this site anymore...
In case you don't have access to the link forums, this was posted by Nathon Neimczyk, he is the owner of the 4g63 dragster:It has also been noted by several people that although the BW will outperform, it will not outlast the Garrett counterpart.I have no personal information to add to...
Im not on that site much. The word pretentious comes to mind when I think of the site.
I think the auto would be good thing to switch to. It'll save you a lot of headache in the long run. I wish I had gone that route.
Mr peppers we are going to have to have to meet up at the track this year. I'm trying to get my al rod 2.0 done soon so I can get some runs in on my twinscroll hx35 setup. Clearancing the block is holding me up big time or I'd be breaking the motor in by now.
I've been doing some more reading and I'm having a hard time figuring out how much boost I can run through my hx35 twinscroll setup. What I mean is, how much boost is just pushing the turbo to far and I'm at the point that I need to go bigger? 40, 45psi? I ran this turbo with a bep bolt on...
I ran last year with a bolt on mitsu housing on an hx35, this year I have a twin scroll setup for it and I will compare the differences. This one will actually make it to a dyno before being tore apart tho. Ill probably be disapointed by the low numbers and go with a hx40 before years end so...
Turbodsm18 have you installed yours in the car yet? I'm curious of your clearance of the front motor mount. I made 3/4 inch id flanges for mine (they're posted somewhere earlier in the thread) and my hose is resting on the mount so I'd imagine you're going to have a few clearance issues.
Bringing back a bit of an old thread I just came across but I to had a similar problem, though not as bad but there were some metal shavings coming out the backside of the flywheel. This is something that needs to be addressed by QM. Quality assurance is not something that should be lacking in...
Sorry for such a long response, but I would like to thank you for your direct and honest response. I wouldn't have expected that from some one in your position. I have a lot of respect for a company that can be so honest and not just try to push something that the customer wouldn't need.
I noticed that all the transmission shops are offering an isf option now. I did some research and found out a little more about it, and it sounds debatable as to whether or not it's worth it. From a machinist forum I'm on they discerned it as not being being money well spent. However I would...
Went to the junkyard this weekend, and there was a maroon laser with red interior and the gold package. There was also a white laser with red interior. I've never seen it before and thought it was odd there was two at the same yard.
Go down to the market, see a baseball game, bubblegum wall, music venues, walk around aimlessly drunk, take a ferry somewhere and walk around there then return. There is so much stuff to do there. I lived there for over a year and went into the city all the time with friends. 10x better than...
I drove my dsm from Bremerton WA to Milwaukee WI last summer. It was a pretty fun drive all things considered. I still wish I would have come down to your shop while I was living in Washington. Good luck.
Ok I've been trying 3.25. I'll try this on in a minute, but I'm almost positive it's just going to ask me for the drivers. I found a folder for drivers in the program but when I try to install it, it doesn't seem to do anything. I can't find driver software on their site. It seems I might be...
Ignition is on, I even tried it with the car running.
I had to download the program from innovate because I lost the disc that it comes with. I have tried this on two different computers. One of them has vista which asks to insert the disc to install the drivers but I'm not sure what to do about...

Ok so I need to change the setting on my wb since it's showing a way off number. However when I connect the serial port to the computer it doesn't recognize it. I tried every sort of combination of setups to get it to work but nothing. What am I doing wrong here?
Alright well I ordered my parts. I also double checked to see what I had in the box of stuff I just picked up, and there was an extra -6 to -8 union and a -6 coupler, so that saved me a few bucks. Now I just got to wait for parts to come in and I'll have everything I need for my complete fuel...
Ya I've never used pushlock before so I didn't how effective the would work with fuel injection hose and clamps. Plus that will save me a few bucks buying one less fitting. I always build on a budget.
Ok that sounds like a pretty good idea. I'm only using -8 because I picked it up for very cheap.
The 3/8 hose will slip onto the fuel pump snugly correct? Also since I can't find a female to barbed fitting, can I just use a pushlock fitting and put a clamp on it?
What kind of car is this this in? The master cylinder is on the passenger side. Mirage maybe? And good job on the manifold it looks very good. I can see this type of thing really taking off soon.
I put this on the link forums but haven't gotten much help, I figured I ask here.
Ok I picked up some -8 fuel line today along with an inline 255, fuel filter and an aem fuel rail. Now I already have a 255 in tank that is connected to stock fuel lines. I've been looking for a few hours at...
My account never got approved. I made it like a month ago, and forgot until now. The user name was: fbm. Can you guys help me out on this one, and no I'm not using a free email address.
Do hotels in the area fill up for this, I haven't been before? I'd like to go but won't know until shortly before. I also probably wouldn't leave until Friday. I have a lot of things going on with work and military and my schedule keep changing.
When I get my laptop back I'll post up some logs. I can't do much without that. Basically it all lies in the fact that the wb isn't reading right I think. It pulls timing if I step on it and don't ease into the throttle. That might be from the fact that it's showing 9:1 afr on WOT. Yet it is...
