Who built the motor and were the right steps taken for grinding the rings? Or maybe a tooth off on the cams?

I would say its alot more work then it would be worth.

Make sure there is NO boost leaks at all or maybe a bad fuel filter.

Oil return line and is it for sure cracked or is it a bad gasket? Just buy a new pipe from a mitsu dealer as well as 2 new gaskets and you will be set!

To actually clean off like road grime i use simple green and spray it all over, let it sit, and wash it off. Works great on the grime.

Is your FPR bad. Thats what I am guessing. the fuel drains out of the lines back into the tank possibly.

You could use larger washers.

Wow seems kind of risky. I would just buy the correct belt. You dont need any special material belt. Guys running 1000hp are still using the stock belts.

Plus if you own a DSM you should have a second bank account for fixing it anyways.

Dont do it. Calculate how much you are really only saving. Does that really sound worth risking your motor?

If it were me I would weld on an AN fitting onto the oil pan and go that route. thats what i did.

I had this issue and it was the shift fork inside the tranny broke so that made it so you cant shift.

Go get a few estimates of your own and show them.

No wonder its still for sale.

I run 1600's, 255 rewired, and a simple FPR with straight e-85. Works great for me at 30+ PSI.

Sounds like it could be valve seals as well possibly.

Where do you have the vacuum/boost line tied in at. That can make a difference as well.

Go to roadraceengineering.com like stated above and they have what you need for BASE settings. Then tune off of those.

I have a 1991 talon AWD that i am selling. it has just the chassie with no motor but all of the other stuff is there to put on your car.

Put platinum plugs in and new t bolt clamps on a fitting and seemed to go away but still happens once in a great while out of the blue under wot.
