It has been crazy!! I've never seen anything like this in my life, my wife and I have been very fortunate to live where we are. If you go 5 minutes in any direction it's really bad! Thank you sir I sure will, I am looking to do a remote tune on the car, but I've been out of the DSM game for a...
Thank you, that is good to know. I think I have figured out how to log knock, once the weather here clears up(I'm in Columbia, SC and we're having widespread flooding) I'll try and log some pulls.
I'm trying to figure out how to log knock in aem, it was the tune that was already on the car. From what I was reading 16-18° is pretty conservative up top, is that right?
Hey folks,I have a built 2.0 6 bolt with an fp red on 93/meth above 16psi, how does this timing map look? Is it a conservative map or aggressive?thank you
Thanks for your reply. I have read through every thread I could find regarding it. I was looking into a gsx that had an fp red, and ended up purchasing it. It's quite different than my old 2.3l fp3055 set up. Driving around town it feels like a slug until you make a pull.
Hey folks,I have been reading through the fp red threads, and read a lot of hypothetical or I know someone who has one this is how it is threads. I haven't read anything from actual people running them. Just curious how laggy these turbo's are for daily driving. I had a 2.3 stroker with an FP...
I think that is the right play, it really is the one I would like to get. I think my offer is very reasonable, and like you said it most likely isn't going anywhere fast.I really feel like there are some folks out there who still understand these cars aren't worth what they were years ago...
Oh yeah, I understand that. The thing is my wife would never let me 'invest' the money into a build, but if I were to buy one that is built. She can't complain about me fixing things. If that makes sense. I offered 10k for it, I felt like that was reasonable. He is saying the least he would take...
Here is the quote from the ad, the car has about a 2 year old paint job and is immaculate under the hood and interior wise.1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX. Car has Viper two-way paging system with stock car alarm . New 4g63t 1st gen motor fully built for 800 hp with paperwork on all from start to...
Hey Folks,As the title states I'm curious what people are paying for 2GB GSX's that are in great condition physically and mechanically. I am in the market to purchase one, and I have found one I really like, but feel like the asking price is too high. Just want some input.thanks
I'm in columbia, and I would love to meet up. I have a few friends who would love to as well.I hear that turbo on yonges island will suck a nail out a coffin!
i had the same problem after installing my 2900. I had to adjust my clutch to release lower, it was like it was over-extending or something. Now it works just fine! It was releasing wayyy too high at first. Don't know if it will work for you guys but that worked for me!
I bought the car with it in there so im not sure about the pedal stop...it does have an isuzu slave cyl though. Should i go organic or metallic, its my DD and i live in downtown columbia
thanks for the replies! my dad actually is fixing to get a truck and im hoping to get his old car which is an 01 maxima for a DD...just not sure when this is gonna happen!
My gsx in on a ptt twin disc, not sure which disc as far as metallic or organic the owner before myself purchased the clutch. It has about 20k miles on it and its starting to slip. A few local knowledgable dsm'ers around my area are suggesting to go with an act 2900 set up bc the car is my daily...
yeah! i know the differences of the set-ups and the speed density set up and stuff. I just dont know how big or bad of a job it is to swap them back out! anyone know?
From what i have seen the DNP is a great manifold, i mean how many manifolds do you find that add 40whp to a stock evo, i would say thats pretty impressive, and as far as quality i havent ever heard of any people having them crack, if anyone has actually experianced that then please inform the...
This is gonna be a blast! I'm definitely coming...this will be my first year, i'm really excited to meet you guys and check out some SS rides!....i just wanted to maybe mention the idea of waiting another weekend or two bc i know a group of people that have graduation that weekend and cant come...
Have you recirculated the BOV yet? If not then you can most likely just re-use your stock recirculating hose or go to like home depot and get a hose to fit
Just thought you guys might find this quite exciting...i have a friend here in columbia who its now official that he broke the stock 4g63 block recored only internal mod was hks 264/272 combo. He recently sent his dyno chart to the manufactorer so they could approve that nothing was tampered...
Not sure if anyone said it or not, but the movie the sixth sense has a green 2g either gsx or OZ edition in the scene where toward the end there is that car accident ( i think??) and it shows the bloody lady on the bike..lol
Like he said man the dyno is the best way...i mean you can have two cars with the exact same turbo set ups, fuel set ups and everything but even in that case the differences in tunes, climates, all that can make a big difference
yours look really good man!! I like! i just dont know how its gonna look against my red lol and i have the chrome gst wheels so i dont know how thats gonna flow together...
Hey i was wondering if anyone has pics of a cayenne red 2g with blacked out taillights....i'm pondering the thought of doing it but was just curious if anyone had any..i searched but found very few pics, and none were cayenne red.
