Hope this helps.I have the aeromotive one also in my shed that was on with the same exact problems both new out of the box set up the same way as below!! I didnt realize you had to change out the springs?..But besides that nothing adjusts at all so i dont see that being the problem because it...
Thanks guys.. I examined the fuel filter and return line. everything is good. when replacing the fuel filter i marked on the top screw the hole openings so i know its dead on and flowing correct.... Im going to buy a labtop and hopefully i can figure things out with dsmlink...I have the fpr...
I have used 2 different brand new gauges and two brand new FPR`s.. I have never had a problem like this.. They both read 50psi on the rail but read nothing on the unit itself, also the vacuum line chances nothing! Could it possibly be the return line? I replaced the fuel filter with a oem one...
I have a AEM fuel rail, walbro 255lph, and 880cc injectors ect. I am having a major problem getting a stable fuel pressure and i have went through 2 brand new AFPR`s and neither of them work.First i had a brand new aeromotive fpr and the gauge never worked at all, but the car ran.. took...
I know exactly what screw you mean.. The Biss screw..I know that the biss screw was 2 turns out from being fully turned in when i installed it. When installing the throttle cable there was no tension/kinks and everything worked fine. Throttle body worked fine and like stated everything had new...
I agree with all the advice given. The car isn`t here for me to break down the problem which makes this hard. The shop specializes in DSM`s and im confused why they would say its the ECU?Just want to make this clear...The ECU isnt the problem? Thats pretty much what i need to know before i...
I Agree with you.. Relate to the laws of physics.. Im no scientist but it`s common sense. . Yes, this is what they told me when they got the car started. The car left my hands not running due to timing issues which was fixed and they said when they got it started it went straight to redline...
Here is the deal...I have a 95 gsx that i fully built from the ground up .. The car was sent to a shop to have the timing redone because the timing on my new motor was off when i bought it creating the car to not start.. Fixing the timing, they went to start the car and the car redlined...
Dont know if the problem was fixed or this will help but maybe you have too much oil.. Happened to a friend and was able to boost to the moon after.. And like everyone else says check the plugs wires and coil..When mine were going same exact problem..
Sorry for the misleading information. I meant 280/280 or 272/272 combo.. Im not too concerned with the low end.. The car isnt drivin much and i figured i might as well just go bigger if im spending the money.. If it will hurt me i will stick with the 272`sLooking into the BC 280`s for 320...
As of right now i have stock cams.. Want to know what would be best for the setup i have. The car will most likely be driven only on the weekends, but may be takin out more often. Im leaning towards the 280`s .. I will be upgrading to a larger turbo in the future Any info on the positive and...
I took my 97 gsx to plainfield nj to have the car fail so i could get the 45 days and they ended up failing me for H.I.D`s because it eliminated the highbeams and a worn tire..Mods were-6 bolt

You should swap out the cyclone intake manifold..Then do the Timing belt..and water pump while it is out .. If money isnt a issue you can do cams and cam gears too...Motor mounts?
Just installed my 6-bolt and curious on the best way to check if it is getting oil pressure before i fire it up. Looking through the oil cap while cranking (coil unplugged )there seems to be no way to see if its getting oil. What is the best way to go about this. Take valvecover off....?This...
Green: Pin 1 is now 14
Green w/ yellow stripe: Pin 2, is now Pin 1
Green w/ red stripe: Pin 15, is now Pin 2
Yellow w/ black stripe: Pin 14 is now Pin 15Is this correct?*Do i even have to swap pins in the ecu or just change the spark plug wires on coil - 1 with 2 and 3 with 4.*95 gsx
Short and sweet...Did a 6-bolt swap in my 2g and used the RRE cas plug and play harness.. I have DSM link and want to know if i will still have to swap out injector pins on the ECU or will dsmlink be able to take care of it?Will be firing my car for the first time tomm and would like to know...
Was in the same situtation with my 2g, i dont know if its the same setup but i had to strip the whole front end from the radiator support (fenders also ). I drilled out all the spot welds and got it off, very simple if your mechanically inclined. Then i purchased a new complete support core...
Well i had a friend come over who has done skunk II`s before and he say`s that i installed them correctly.. I will finish up the rest of them and will post any new info that i get along the way.. Thanks for the help
This is advice that i just currently got from a buddy that works at a local dsm shop... I was looking at a FP red rebuilt and their opinion was not to waste my money and to go with a diff setup... Not saying that the turbo isnt proven.Personal experience he had was he bought a RED rebuilt...
Yes there is a ridged lip on the collarsIt states - Knock off factory spring perches with mallat or cut if needed...*Deff did not do and dont even know what this part is or looks like*also states to cut factory bump stop in half and place thru strut piston??? Can anyone guide me on this...
I feel very confident i put them togehter correctly using the stock strut disassembly as a guide... All these posts deffinitely do help..My concern i guess now is if the Eclipse GSX coilovers come in two diff sizes. 6" and 7" or i may have the wrong ones... If i don't, does anyone know what...
could you tell me how you did yours compared to how i did it... When you jack up the car can you move the spring...(whereas mines solid and can`t) any info wil help..Is the same spring size due to GS-t ??
I am currently installing Skunk 2 coilovers on my 95 gsx and im not sure that i have installed the strut/coilover correctly. I have only done 1 on the FRONT passenger side and don`t want to continue until i know exactly how they are done. Coilovers are being put on KYB-GR2 struts. How i...
AWESOME.. I was thinking that there wasn't one due to the mounts not being there ect, but the re-assurance is a great thing..Thank you! Are you familiar with the oil housing.. the housing has 2 huge an fittings that i believe went to a oil cooler and a smaller an fitting probably to the turbo...
Ive had a 1.8 inch drop by ebiach with upgraded struts on my 97 GSX and im not a fan of the handling in the rain..I found myself going slower than everyone else due to hydroplaining - minus camber kit`s..I also wasnt satisfied with the drop.. I preffered more although it looked great. Im going...
To get a better idea for all, do you have the o2 wire coming out of ecu going straight to the Gauge.. You will need to go from ecu to the o2 with the line tapped in at whatever point.. It has to go to its original destination..Wouldnt hurt to sodder it either..?
My delima is what sensors are on the 6-bolt`s. Yes there are two sensors one is by the crankshaft - CPS (CRANK POSITION SENSOR) and the other is up top by the cam gears..then you have the A/C ..Coil plug.. To give you an idea what sensors/plugs are in that general area. Do you know if the 1g...
I just recieved my motor Specs listed below. I am running DSMLINK and the motor came with no sensors except 1 off the back of the block (in middle)?. I want to install it but i need to know what sensors i will need to have it running, while the motor is out. My concern is timing belt area where...
I am building my 6-bolt and i purchased a Fidanza Flywheel. Forced Performance sells the Aluminum Flywheel Hardware Kit that claims to prevent the bolts from coming loose and stripping. Are these really needed? Anyone use stock bolts and have no problem.. ThanksLink -...
Let's make this short and sweet.. I have a Fully Build tranny by Turbotrix with a ACT2600 clutch. Started having lot's of slippage and turn's out the Throwout Bearing that was installed with the 2600 was in peices. *believe to be the ACT bearing* .... I will be putting out over 450hp with new...
Tuning is like Night and Day! The richer you are the slower you will be.. So i would do what was stated and then get a tune. You can alway's go halves with your brother on a Wideband tuning it yourself whenever needed.
Had a friend get crankwalk at 110K miles, so it may be rare but can happen. Like stated i would ride out the 7-bolt and in the process save come money because you can probably get a 6-bolt for the cost of the 7-bolt rebuild. Prefference plays a key roll - Goodluck6-bolt rods are strong and...
- Not too Fond of the Turbonetics RS49T.. I talked to darren at FFWD and the 1yr warranty doesnt seem like a bad deal for his regrinds.. We will have to see.. Im just trying to finish up all the odds and ends to get her running so i will be using the Turbonetics that i took off my 97 gsx to...
Yea i was really leaning towards the 2.5 but i really couldn't decide. It just makes everything so much easier and driveability is a big issue. What would the max HP be for the 2.5 because im really trying to make the car reliable and im going to be boosting 25psi and up to 30psi race gas. I...
Curious about the rebuild... Maybe you should look into getting a 6 bolt verses rebuilding the 7 bolt.. It may set you back a little now but down the road you will be much happier. You can always use some parts for the swap and sell the rest.. Just for thought..I was running 21 psi with...
I am in the process of building a weekend race car/Daily driver if needed and i am stuck on what would be best for my setup. I do not know what size intercooler piping to go with ( 3" or 2.5 ) nor what throttle body to use ( 1g or 75mm). I want to use a Magnus Intake manifold. Any advice on...
I will be posting questions myself, but i believe you will have to hardwire a mustang TPS.. You may need AEM but some have gotten the 75mm to run smoothly with DSMlink.. Many have downgraded due to idle problems/ stalling.. I could be wrong but i hope this may help. I have to do my research...
The car is not going to be a drag car, its going to be a weekend driver/ Daily driver if needed to be. I want everything possible out of there i do not need!-REMOVED-

I bought my 2g gsx lowered 2 inches front back and the appearance is awesome but like stated you will have to do it right. I have no camber kits and the tread wear on my tires is uneven resulting is new tires having to be replaced due to metal coming through within a minimal time. Driving my car...
I am building a 95 GSX and i already removed the stock motor along with all the A/C componets. What else can be removed that will clean up the space that is not needed. I know all vacuum lines arent needed (except for boost, wastegate ect) so what should be removed and any suggestions of what i...
For those who may have the same problem the cause was not the clutch like i stated.. The throw out bearing mounted to the tranny spline was broke which offset not allowing the clutch to fully engage. :thumb:
I currently bought a Turbonetics Rs49t from a friend and Hill at Turbotrix said they had a guy with the same turbo swaped his exhaust housing on the turbo (Having to get a diff o2, and manifold) resulting in 100hp more just from that. Supposedly the exhaust housing and turbo aren't made for each...
The turbo can be ported i agree which will deff help top end which i currently lack. Manifold and Ported o2 housing are already ported so the turbo itself is a option! The Turbo setup was bought for $1200 dollars and only installed on my friends gsx for 5 runs at the track. Turbonetics...
