Hi All,
My name is Mike, I am from Ontario Canada and have been in the DSM game for over 15 years.
I haven't really posted much over the years, but I've come here frequently for help in my early DSM days.
I'm known to never take the easy route and try out of the box ideas for DSM's...
Got this from Malaysia years ago.
It is a clutch pack style rear diff. This allows for tunable lockup, and can help your DSM rotate around corners a bit better.
Realistically I'll never use it.
I took it apart to inspect it for noticeable damage.
The countersunk screws for the housing seem to...
I'm just being a bit of a troll, but
The main thing that makes this rare is that it is a CLOTH 98 in that color?
But you have no pictures of the interior....:|
Water to Air user here.
After fighting a couple years with high temps I finally got mine figured out. I'll see if I can help steer you in the right direction. My core was undersized. Do not skimp out on core size. (On Frozenboost site, comparing the two, I went from something similar of a type...
I second this. I was having issues with my compounds, and everyone started screaming back pressure. A cheap sensor and some copper line goes a long way.
In the end, the datalog clearly showed there was no backpressure issues. The log made about 7 people shut their yaps.

Always comes through with requests and alternatives. Been ordering from there for the past 10+ years.
Even had him machine up a bunch of odd ball parts when he still had the machine shop for a great price.
The factory stroker cranks i've seen and dealt with have offset oil holes on the mains. Where a standard 63 crank the main oil holes all line up in a straight line.
So you could pop off the mains and see if the oiling holes are offset or not.Ignore the mods that were done to the cranks in the...
I'll add my 2 cents.
on frozenboost.com I picked up the Type 8, thinking 350hp would be a good start.
I ran in circles upgrading my reservoir, bigger lines, thinking there was air in the system, bigger pump....Last year I upgraded to something similar to the type 5, setup much like...
I'm no expert either, but I found when trying to run my LC1 with narrow band sim, it didn't output correctly until the "Htr" message was displayed. Depending how I tuned the car, it would either run super lean and stall, until the "htr" message disappeared, and fuel trims would start adjusting...
I'm running into the same issue this year. at 4000. doesn't have to be in boost.
although I find more fuel masks the issue.
Very interested to see your outcome.
I had a set of these designed. My machinist still has the measurements if people want some made up. Came to around 150us(would need to confirm.)They were designed to reuse the metal sleeve for the bolt. And The tolerances are quite tight, 20tonne press was needed.
Brand new Magnus remote mount IAC for EVO 8 IAC's.
I believe they use the same DSM plugs.
These sell for I think 100US.
Make offer. or interesting trade.
Find me at the Canadian site at the shootout!
I had the old AEM and my tuner and I had a heck of a time getting the output vs the gauge reading correctly. He also told me the sampling rate on the AEM was very low compared to innovative.
I guess there was testing done somewhere, and your engine could detonate for X many revolutions before...
I was just playing with this last night,
I haven't found a way to use the datalogger, and trigger the actuators at the same time. So I just looked off the stock gauge at the RPM.Pressing the speed adj. screw mode basically centers the ISC position.
Then adjust the BISS screw until the desired...
I had the same research findings with the understeer and rears that stick out. Until I actually took it around some corners.
I was only running the single piston 3kgt rear calipers and rotors, but recently found some 2g 3S dual piston rear calipers with the mitsu lettering. Very rare and cost me...
I wanted to wait until I was done the fronts to post this but here it goes.
I did a bunch of work and my own research, spent a lot of money buying pieces for measurements etc. I've only read a very vague post about the 3s setup on the galant forms without any pictures or anyone saying its been...
Hi Jose,Speaking from experience, the engine bay harness enters the inside of the car and goes to a couple connectors in the passenger kick panel(where their feet are) The connectors are not the same, so some splicing would be required. My suggestion would be to salvage your 1g harness (maybe...
I had a failure on a fresh 6bolt G4CS. Topline case and helical gears with OEM stub. Looked identical to gsxitement, but mine ovaled out the shaft bore and crank walked the motor.I'm Running OEM case and straight cuts with OEM stub shaft now, but only have a few thousand K on it so far.I...
I JUST reassembled my motor that ate a sparkplug. I had much worse damage. But it looked identical. I used a sanding stone to smooth out the areas. Best of luck.I'm just upset I didnt write "send it" on my pistons.
I have a new unused, open package hub and slider.

I believe it is for the fwd non turbo transmissions. It is up to you to do the research if it will fit your application.Looks like these go for 125+ on Jack's site.$50 US plus shipping from Ontario Canada.I MAY also have a 3-4 for...
Hi Guys, Looking for some help.I'm looking for measurements on the CV for the FWD 93+ axles.
Basically looking to make a hybrid axle, and hopefully slide on different cups depending what the measurements come back at.Could anyone lend a hand? Thanks.
I've never measured the weight of everything.
I had some space limitations for my setup which is why I went W2A.bling5tatus- those lines look ridiculously small... do you have any logs of your IAT's? I'm always curious how well other W2A users can cool their intake charge.
I've played with one of those units from frozen boost for years. I think last year was the first time I had it cooling the air properly.-Make the water lines as *large* as possible with no restrictions.
-Fit the biggest core possible in your wheel well. Do undersize your core(I think this is...
If you cannot use dual maps for tuning nitrous, or are already using dual maps, for say meth etc..
Spraying before the IAT can be useful, as you can use the intake temp/timing map and drop off a bunch of timing when the IAT sees crazy low temps from the nitrous.
Another way to do it, is when the...
Thought I'd throw my experience in here.
Car ran like ass/lean for a few years on startup with evo 8 ecu.
I had to blip the pedal a few times to get it to go into closed loop(cycle the o2)
Adjusting the injector latency so the car would not start full lean fixed it for me. (as posted above the...
Will Consider partial trades for
-awd front LSD,
-evo rear LSD.
-Rear 2g 3000gt calipers with Mitsubishi lettering
-Rear Brembo Calipers
-Tubular front braces with north and south bars.
-1G JMF Race intake powder coated Dormant Purple
-Dual Rails Powdercoated Candy Teal
-Nitrous Bungs on bottom
-Vaccum Fittings on rear
-Q45 TB included, I bought a new sensor for it, but still couldn't get it to read properly,
-Heat barrier gasket between TB and Intake550 Shipped
I just had some made up so measurements are fresh in my mind.
Are you talking about the metal plug? That piece I had just long enough. To reach the digit in the arm. The Heim joint was about 2.5" from bore centre to arm
Awesome.
Look into a tactrix cable and "ecu flash" for tuning the stock ecu.Grab an oil pressure sensor off the oil filter housing. If the pressure indeed gets too high, you can port the housing until you get appropriate pressure.
Keep er up!
Very cool! I'm super interested.
If they wear out at a higher rate, is the cost associated with replacing the valves quite expensive?
I'd think for the hard core racers, replacing those rotary valves every season wouldn't be that big of a deal. When do you plan on testing!?
I agree 100%. I'd sooner see actual driven street cars race...
I raced in Max effort. But there was no sense racing in any other class.Even Max effort was slightly silly, if you rock 5 seconds faster around the cones then every one else(much easier feat) then you basically win Max Effort...
Is the rebuilt motor the revised 7bolt? with the different thrust bearings? That's suppose to help with crank walk and the side load pressure. I don't think too many people would recommend building a 95 block...are you sure your clutch is setup properly? and there is no clutch pressure when...
Ok, I ordered up the Drake kit.
The shaft looked quite shorter, I was hoping to avoid shortening the inner tie rod.
I'll post up how I make out. Thanks again, and nice setup.
Ok great. I have my car dropped to the max for track use.
I was JUST looking into buying parts to make my own bump steer fix tie rods, but I just ordered up a set of mustang pre-fabbed ones thanks to you!Did you buy the QA1 balljoints?
Ive been running an evo8 ecu in my 1g for the past 3 years. Been great to me.I think you need to add somewhere about using the EVO knock sensor.
Unless guys have gotten it to work with a 1g since Ive done my conversion?
This is super cool!Just a suggestion, I'm not sure if you have enough resources for this.
But maybe have them get the car converted back to stock. Running in good order. And add the upgrades one at a time so they can see what each change does to the car, and show them what a boost leak can do...
Humm, whats the internal differences between the newer style center diff and the 90's?
I bought a quaife center diff, and my builder got concerned that I may have had the 90's style intermediate shaft (different gear angles)
But my evo 1 came with the newer style gears, 91+ (with the little...
