It is a full 6bolt swap head and block. I am also using all 1g sensors CAS, coil pack, igniter moduel, and I have eliminated the EGR valve and silonoids . But I have read about that thing I thought it was just a fix to turnign the CEL off. I will try that tomarrow. But if anyone else has...
Ok for starters heres what is done to the car,95 gst, 6bolt swaped
hard upper pipe
greddy type s bov
apxi avc-r
evo III GT 16G
act 2600 clutchAnyway, after I put in the 6bolt the car started doing something weird. It runs fine till you get to crusing speed (55). Then after it...
On 2g's I am pretty sure you have to have a scan tool to read the codes. That is what I use. Auto Zone will do it for free to around here I don't know about where you live but it would be worth a shot to go there and ask.
You will need the water pipe comming out of the water pump, all the oil and water lines connected to the turbo, and the lower intercooler piping from a 1g. And of couse the little part that bolts to the turbo. good luck!
The CAS is located behind the cam gear on 7 bolt motors. You will have to remove the cam gear to get to it. It is held on by 2 10mm bolts and has about 8 or 10 inches of wire on it before the plug. Good luck with getting it started.
I just did the same swap to my car like a couple days ago. And I came up with the same problem. I had crossed the two blue signal wires. I rechecked my wiring and switched the two wires and it fired right up. The blue and white signal (2g crank sensor) goes to the yellow wire on the 1g CAS...
I have read those sites backwards and forwards. I used the information there to do the swap. They still do not say anythign about a car not firing on 2 cylinders. I was hoping that someone had had the same problem before and knew what it took to fix it. And if anyone accually wired the 2...
Yes i am sure it is just on cylender 2 and 3. Another ECU is the only part i do not have anohter one of to try. But i will when i can find one. I was wondering if I got the two blue wires crossed on the CAS when i rewired it what would happen too? i am like 95 percent sure I did not but you...
Ok I just finished a 6 bolt swap on a 95 . Anyway for some reason I do not have fire on cylenders 2 and 3. I have already tried 3 coil packs and 3 ingniters and came up with the same results. Any one know somthing else to try?I have already swaped the 2 and 4 and 1 and 3 wires too.
Ok I just finished a 6 bolt swap on a 95 gst like 30 min ago. Anyway for some reason I do not have fire on cylenders 2 and 3. I have already tried 3 coil packs and 3 ingniters and came up with the same results. Any one know somthing else to try?I have already swaped the 2 and 4 and 1...
I also used 6.5's in my car but they did not fit very well i could not get all the screws in and had to make new holes. And If I remember correctly I did not ever get 4 screws in there.
Yes 2g's are pretty easy to get to 300 hp, but you will have to ugrade the turbo on one because the stock t25 is too small to make that power. But a stock 1g turbo (which is a 14b) or a 16g is all you will need to get to 300 and they are pretty cheep.
The automatic rear ends also have a diffrent gear ratio in them from a manual one. At least that is what i was told by mitsubushi grave yard when i was asking about buya 4 bolt for my car and all they ahd was an automatic one. So you might want to buy a rear end out of a 92 -94 manual...
If it is surging you can go to thes sites for info on how to check some things.http://dsm.org/archives/1997/04/19970409.txt/8.html
http://dsm.org/how-tos/tttt/tttt3.htmlGood luck with yoru problem.
The first thing I would do personally is to swap the 7 bolt to a 6 bolt motor. As soon as i started modding my 95 gst it crankwalked, and that is where it sits waiting on me to have time and money to put a 6 bolt in it. Or you can find several upgrade paths on this website. good luck...
When you take the plastic trim off from around the radio there is a serial number on the bottom left corner ,I think. You will have to call the dealer and give them that number then they will call you back with the code. That is how I got one for my 95 gst.
Sounds like the gauge of the wire is too small like Stroked said 2 gauge wire can handle alot more amps than 4 gague wire like you have. You could try checking the voltage at the starter to see if the wires are putting enough voltage to it to turn it over. But I would definatly put some...
I know you don't want to heat this, but you need to just go pick up you a rebuildable 6 bolt block. You should be able to pick u p a good for for around 100 bucks or less.

Thanks but that was to vague. I need a picture of the wiring diagram that tell what color wires conect to what color wires. And if possible a picture of the plug and which so i can count over how many wires in case that two are the same color.
I have personallly never had to remove the whole front suspension. Alittle penitrating oil and a few taps with a hammer usually does the trick on getting it out of the hub.
I have a 95 gst and all you have to do is to unbolt the axel nut, then the lower ball joint. Then you have to seperate the ball joint and pull the axel out of the hub. Then u just take a pry bar and put it between the axel and transmission and pop them out. If you have any more questions...
You call also get used japaneese engins on ebay for like 1200 to 2000 bucks plus shipping. And on these you get a transmission, turbo and all acessories too. You can also get these engines from diffrent companies on internet (not ebay). Just search for japaneese engins on google.
I would go with quasimodo and try to turn your water pump pully around. I recently bought a car off a guy that was doing the same thing. He had put it on backwards. So I turned it around and no more belt chewing. So if you have took it off for some reason latley I be you accidently put it on...
I don't konw if you have done it yet, but if your timeing belt breaks you will lose fire. You can pull off the top timing belt cover and check to see if its still there. good luck!
yes, they will come out together. You will have to be careful it will be a tight fit. I don't know exactly what they are called but one of those engine leveler things that hooks to the engine puller helps alot. They have a big bolt in them and you can turn a crank to adjust the tilt on the...
They have to be popped out. You will have to unbolt the big axel nut on the hub end then the lower ball joint. Then use a ball joint fork and pop the ball joint out. Pull axel out of the hub then use a pry bar to pop the axel out of the transmission. If u have any more questions just ask.
In the preformance would most of the time you get what you pay for. I would take the others advice and do some research. But if it were me buying I would go with a downpipe that is of proven quality and performence. And i have also had expierence with people on ebay selling a bunch of crap...
About the motor mount I am not sure they are tricky sometimes. You will just have to find a hole and get to it. If you remove the axels you might be able to get to it from the bottom of the car, and you might have to unbold it all the way from the block. Not real sure have not pulled but...
Yes you can fit 18 inch wheel on a 90 model. And it would proubaly look kinda funny if you put a stagered set on there. I woudl try to find a matching set of 18x8's or 18x7.5's or something but i would think that u would not want any wider than 8. Hope this helped.
The slave cylender or the clutch master cylender could also be bad. Have someone check to see if the slave cylender rod does not move back in while u are holding down the clutch. If it moves back in it could be a sighn that one of them are bad. Since it is not holding the pressure on the...
As long as the pistons anre not cracked or somethign they should be alright if you are just planning on fixing the car and driving it. But the nicks in the tops of the pistons could cause problems if try to get alot of horse poser out of it.
It will take alot of work to do the swap. You have to change the petal assembly, mount a clutch master cylander, and run all fluid lines. It would proubably be in your best intrest and a whole lot easier to sell your car and buy a 5 speed. but it is plssible to do the swap. If u attemp it it...
