I have a 92 tsi awd parts car that has a tranny that was rebuilt by a reputable shop in allentown pa with about 10k on the rebuild. Since my 95 has a 6bolt swap i could just bolt on my 92 tranny correct. My 92 is a 6\4 setup so the tranny would even work with the 2g correct?

idont feel it go into gear, the shifter itself feels like im tghrowing it through air, almost no resistance, but i look at the actuator on the tranny itself and its moving fine.

Isnt it nearly impossible to check your base timing when the car wont run at 1000 rpms. like i have said before i cant even get the car to idle at anything less then 2000. I wish i could, also no matter how much i move the case around it wont idle lower then 2000.

can test compression with bad valves, your going to need a new head before you can do that. Look at the top of the cylinders check for cracks and etc, maybe file out the burs agetthat new head on.

when my 1g turbo was going bad, only at wot, but it would make a pretty nice white smoke cloud behind my car. Do a compression check or a leakdown test, also let your car cool down and feel your turbo its good to know you dont have any odd shaft play and it spins freely.
though it is about 200 dollars a year difference, its just that the 94 has a molded body kit and is already painted really nicely and has absolutely no rust, how many gs-t's can you find with all that work done for 900 dollars especially in new york? Also i will have the time to do it this...

when my intercooler was unhooked, so check for turbo leaks all around. What will happen is our car thinks its getting more air and gas so it lets its rev higher then there no more gas so it pops and your rpms dip.Just a guess but my car did the exact same thing.
if you can only hit 3psi and your boost controller is up all the way. either you have your boost set wrong or a huge hole somewhere, or even a disconnected pipe. Good places to look are at both sides of your intercooler or wherever a line should be connected.Good luck.
